“We can be assured that in this instance ‘Coromantee’ referred to a sizable Akan presence, granted the foregoing cultural evidence in Jamaica.
Demographically, an average of 50 percent of the Africans imported to Barbados came from the Gold Coast (Ghana) between 1650 and the 1710s, and a historical aggregate of at least 200,000 Africans came from the Gold Coast (Ghana) -only Jamaica had a higher total of Akan presence in the British Caribbean.”
-Kwasi Konadu, The Akan Diaspora in the Americas

Thanks for this vlog. I mainly watch African Americans who have moved or repatriated to Ghana or other parts of Africa. (GoBlack2Africa, Bag People of Gambia, LanceScurv, , Maximum Impact Jay Cameronndm, Woda Maya, and many more). This is my first time seeing a Jamaican vlogger on the Continent. I know Jamaicans/Caribbeans are there but have never seen their narratives.
And that's definitely one of the reasons why I do what I do! I want to share the Caribbean perspective on travel 😁 Thanks for watching 🙏🏽
We sure are here in Africa 🌍
God bless

There will be a vast exedus to the motherland by young age group and under I am too old to repatriate, but would love to Invest in land for my children and grand Africa and Africans shall regain her crown Watch where Jamaicans will migrate to in future Jamaica is colonized by Chinese and Jamaicans(black) never own Jamaica
I do imagine a lot of the younger generation are at least curious in moving. Never too late for you to visit though! Hope you do get to in the future.
Great Yard 🇯🇲 story indeed...
