It used to be Consumerism with the Shopping Mall Cathedrals.
We now have two Religions. The NHS with it's temples, monasteries, priests and nuns.
And the new Puritanism that worships the Planet, the Climate and all matters LGBTQ+

If you want to reform the NHS, why not start with agency staff? Make a commitment to say that in 7 years all nurses will be employed by the NHS, allowing time to train enough to fill the gap. With the money 💰 saved we should reintroduce bursaries to lift the financial burden placed on them and repay those in the last 10 years that were forced to.

When my mum was in hospital, the regular nurses on minimum wage said the agency nurses were on £65-70/hour.

Also remove the requirement for nurses to be degree qualified, it isn't necessary and give a false impression of the role they will have as a nurse.

The NHS could be reformed. It could start with saying that students who have their uni fees paid for by the NHS (i.e. the taxpayer) would have to do at least 2 years NHS service to 'repay' it post qualification. psychologists, doctors, nurses, physios, etc. Countries like South Africa and Australia do this. Then they could think about fee paying services as eventually this will most likely come around. we cannot go on forever having completely free healthcare.

If they turned down the heating a couple of degrees and shut the windows, they could save a bloody fortune.

It's more than a third of the population paying in. What about pensioners, now retired, who paid in all their working lives too ?

When you stop paying then you are no longer paying in. Surely. We all know that todays pensioners were once the sole contributors to the NHS.

They had the use of it all their lives. Those who whinge about the NHS forget - mess with the NHS now, and those pensioners will be left to die unless they are vastly wealthy.

We should give the NHS less money so it can learn how spend it properly. Too much money wasted on administrative staff like diversity and inclusion officers.

Won't be voting Tory either...it doesn't matter if Labour get in - they and the Tories are identical... just the colour of the rosette is altered. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain by voting for Reform and their election partners SDP. You don't know much about political history, do you? The Tories - and Labour - are about to have done to them, what was done to the Liberals 100 years ago, and for the same reason - because they don't speak for the people of this country.
