    After coloring both pieces, I realized she could totally be Megara if I used the right colors! Missed opportunity.

    another line of markers with extremely similar quality to copics that includes refills and replaceable nibs are FineColour. you can find them on aliexpress - i use the AE seller 'Colourful Art Store' and get the brush markers (called EF102 in the listings), which you can differentiate by its black barrel, and oval shape like copic sketch. finecolour has light grey barrel markers with fine tips too. the full range is a whopping 480 colors! drawback is that it ships from china which takes a while, but refills are in stock and you can buy them individually too. when purchasing them in sets i'd say the markers are on average around $1.60 a piece, depending on the listing you choose, which is fantastic considering it's not a throwaway marker brand and the refills are 20mL and super affordable. i would personally consider FineColour a definitive copic alternative but not a lot of people know about them

      Wellsaid. The markers is the same as finecolour ef103. I own 240 set of the ef102, and it is really the dupe version of copic markers, same in most ways but cheaper especially the refills.🥰

      I definitely have not heard about them! I'll have to look them up, but thank you for your informative comment!

      @@SketchingwithRabbits no problem ♥ i look forward to your review if you pick them up someday! i'm convinced that the only reason no one seems to know about them, especially in english speaking regions, is that finecolour doesn't reach out to reviewers on youtube and instagram like other budget brands. if they did, i have no doubt that they would be extremely popular

      @Pepper I agree I purchased the FineColour bith brush nib and bullet nib and very comparable with Copics at a very good price. But the Sketchmarker it’s only comparable with the Copic Ciao and its overpriced. And they don’t have a decent color chart to choose colors and they don’t match

    I tried these markers and although I agree they are good quality,but #1. It’s very hard to choose colors because they don’t have a decent color chart,not reliable at all. If you buy sets,the colors are everywhere,very hard to find a group of blendable markers(you know same hue light,medium,dark). Even if you buy open stock, it’s hard to choose for blending because the chart they have the colors don’t match the actual color,and there are 400 colors,so indeed it’s very hard to choose they are all on one page,so small you can’t really see the colors well at all. And 2. They are even more expensive than Copics because you can only compare them with the Ciao,not the Copic Sketch and for that the price is quite higher than the Copic Ciao. Even the bullet nib is overcharged. I returned my purchase because the colors don’t match with the only chart they have,very disappointing.

      Thanks for your input! I typically don't rely on any marker color charts - I find them all to be misleading since they're printed. That's usually why I make my own swatch card when testing markers so I can get an accurate representation of the colors. I agree - finding colors of the same color family with a light, medium and dark version is difficult, which is why I used blue to shade her in some areas. And yes, I find them to be quite expensive too!

    Hello again! Do these markers splatter when removing the caps and does this set include pastel or less bold colors than the usual alcohol marker set?

    • @SketchingwithRabbits
      @SketchingwithRabbits  Před 2 lety +1

      Hello 😊 When I was using them, I didn't experience any splatter when removing the caps. This specific set (the pop art set) doesn't really include pastel/light colors - most are bright and bold. They do have other sets available, but I haven't had time to check them out in detail online. From my (quick) search, it seems like they have a set called "baby" that has more pastel colors. Hope this helps!

    Way too expensive when you can just buy Ohuhus or any other brand, aliexpress is a good place and they have refills. They can free to gift me some of these markers too though~!

      Definitely more on the expensive side for sure. Haha, that's definitely a perk for reviewing markers on my channel 😊

    Hi! You mentioned these are the only besides Copic that have refills. But Spectrum Noir and Chameleon markers have refills. Just wanted to to let you know in case you haven't tried those.

      Thanks for letting me know! I tried Spectrum Noir a while ago, but I don't remember refills (maybe they are new?) And I have yet to try Chameleon! I'll have to look into them. Thanks!

      @@SketchingwithRabbits I just recently tried Spectrum Noir, so they could be new. But they are also based in the UK, so they do seem hard to find in the US. Blick Art Supplies has them. They are online. Personally I don't recommend the Chameleon markers. They are a cool concept, just really don't like the brush nib. But I would still watch a video of you trying them out, if you do 😁
