- Simon Kim is best known for his Michelin starred steakhouse in New York, but he recently opened COQODAQ, a combination of the French and Korean words for chicken. The eatery is one of the tougher reservations to get in New York. Its motto: A better chicken.

I was fortunate to be able to eat at this establishment and I can honestly say it was one of the greatest culinary experiences of my life
I'm fascinated that such a small country like South Korea can be so culturally influential around the world.
Well look at Jamaica. Only 2.8 million people on a tiny island and they have had a massive impact on pop culture, music, food, fashion, movies, rasta ideology, and spawned derivative genres of music like hip hop, jungle, drum and bass, rnb etc. Korea isn't a small country, there are 52 million people there.

I love Korean food. But the one thing I detest is going to a restaurant and having to cook my own food. I know it’s a big thing now, but I just hate it! When I go out to eat I want to order my food and have them bring it to me all prepared
The point is the experience of sharing the food. Communal dining is a part of Korean culture. In the higher end restaurants including Cote they cook it for you. Btw there is a lot more to Korean cuisine than Korean bbq. For most Korean dishes it’s already cooked for you.
