To make a long story short; The last decade I have not been living in faith. I was lost. Still believed in god but was angry with him after losing loved ones and I was not honoring him at all. In a moment of great pain I put him to the test once again and opened my Bible randomly. 1 Timothy 4 is the first thing I saw. Gods mercy and patience with us is astonishing. Thank you for your insight. from Arizona to Ontario, God bless y’all and thank you for assisting my Bible study this morning.
Trust me nothing takes more courage then going from a hate and disdain to loving God again. It shows a level of wisdom and maturity but also understanding that we shouldn't attach too much to this world as long as we have faith. People that never go through this stage in their life usually lack a depth to their character. God bless you

These things 20:30 are good when done with balance. I get great value in my faith from fasting and not worrying about my flesh so much. Trust in the Lord, have faith, read your Bible, study your Bible, fast if you are able, and Pray! Prayer is so powerful and you are working in God’s army when you do so.

Coming from a pre-millennial view of eschatology, in verse 4 where it says “to abstain from foods which God created to be received with Thanksgiving...” I wonder if that could be in reference to the movement from the global government to destroy the meat industry and promote plant based and bug based foods.

It was to the church at Antioch that the prohibition to refrain from eating 'meat offered to idols' was first given (Acts 15:20, 29, 30). allowed that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. (2:20).

What about our rewards in Heaven?.. Jesus spoke a lot about them.
I was thinking the same thing… We earn crowns in heaven for our good deeds, but Pastor Paul knows this- he just was trying to make the point that we don’t earn our way to heaven through good deeds, so I didn’t comment about it.
But some animals were created to clean the earth and they still do. When we eat those that God declared unclean we are eating what they eat.
