I just realized that after Terrorsaur died, until he created Dinobot II, Megatron had only arthropod alt-mode subordinates. Just a thought
who else would want martial art training by Dinobot ?
He's also the only one who was able to fight Megatron.

This episode really shows how weak quickstrike is, or how over powering dinobot can be in a one on one situation.
It helps that Dinobot is FAR more experienced than QuickStrike. He’s a veteran that’s been in plenty of battles and cocky ones like Quickstrike has attacks that are fairly predictable, which a more experienced warrior like Dinobot could exploit. Every opponent has a weak spot.
