On 6th August 2000,Your Holiness, despite Your very busy schedule,visited my wife Savitri Priya Devi Dasi at my humble home in London. She had terminal bowl cancer. Your Holiness led a very sweet Kirtana for half an hour. You said she was a very pure hearted and wished You could stay longer. You said “She is like Savitri, the wife of Satyavan, very chaste and devoted. I will always remember her.” With Your blessings and unique CO-operation of Srila Prabhupada’s Iskcon, as You know, she achieved perfection of her life on 21st August, 2000. She lifted her right hand holding her beads up to her head. Saci-Nanadnandan Das,(disciple of H.H. Sivarama Swami) placed a tulasi leaf in her mouth and she left. Thus my family and I are most grateful eternally to Your Holiness and to Srila Prabhupada and His Iskcon. Your humble servant, Lila Purusottama Das, Iskcon Bhaktivedanta Manor and Ujjain.
