Haha. I live north of Austin in a suburb but I am from Phoenix Arizona. We recently moved because of my husband job and it took some getting used to. You definitely have to drive everywhere to go anywhere. The only plus about Austin is the food. Amazing restaurant and cheap prices. I have been here 6 months and still feel like I am not used to this city. Downtown is fun and I like the Domain. Hopefully one day you will get a proper taste but I agree with you. 4 days without a car sucks.
