From personal experience... removing attention doesn't do anything but push them away. They don't care man, male attention is cheaper than oxygen today.

The funny part though is when women do this and I remove my attention/time/validation I also lose interest when she regains her interest.

The issue here is that most men are still stuck in a childlike mentality. Young men are conditioned from day 1 that they have to seek approval and acceptance from parents and teachers for anything they do. From kindergarten til college men try to prove their worth by pleasing and being a docile, tamed "good boy". The educational system is dominated by female teachers and educators who groom you to be dependent on their approval. Young boys are systematicaly intimidated and emasculated by older female teachers who use their power to force boys into submission. Hence men who got imprinted by female teachers from an early age are easily impressed by women and think they can improve their "grade" with women by doing some extra homework for them and being well behaved.
This is the wake-up call we all needed
