  • Do you really need weights to build a lot of mass?

Resistance is resistance. As long as you are continually creating progressive overload, you will build muscle.

I am going to disagree. This is how it works though. Obviously he found that weights worked for him and I very seriously doubt that he’s spent any amount of time with bands. I found that some body parts only seem to get pump with bands but also use weights. Obviously both have a place and saying one is pointless to build mass is bad advice.

i love the way they use bodybuilders to promote their products when none of them got their body without using weights

  • @imoldgregg8

Resistance bands CAN build just as much muscle as weights, you just need to increase resistance. Same as increasing your weight.

It sounds to me like he doesn't understand how to train with bands properly. He basically said that bands are only good for "toning".

  • @siamakmoradi1403

    Resistance bands >>>>>>>> Weights

  • @braille5575

Bodyweight and bands at home for me. I can get my training done by the time it takes you to get to gym change, warm up. Time is of the essence.

I love bands Been using for a year and it has helped me Alot..

  • @nicolasacosta1673

I combine both for the best results. Bench, pull-ups, barbells curls, weighted vest, and the rest with bands and add in cardio equals badass physique.

Better results-incorporate either Chains, bands, or bands w/kettlebells tied on to a good barbell exercise. Your core, explosiveness & acceleration will skyrocket

Using resistance bands with creatin and protien and dense protien ,carbs , healthy fat meals , my muscle bulked and my weight went up like crazy ...

  • @Rosonicole

It kind of forces you to have a mind and muscle connection. Atleast for me! It makes it much more challenging and I’ve noticed it’s harder to mess up form. Also helps me my breathing in a weird way. I love resistance bands!

  • @davidnelsonbradsher1381

I completely disagree with you that you can’t add size with resistance bands. If you follow the calories in/calories out and use time under tension and muscle hypertrophy, my five year experiment shows you can.

I love it when people say “tone” a muscle. There’s no such thing as tone there’s BUILDING muscle or there’s NOT building muscles. Your muscle doesn’t have the option to “tone” or “build” it just recognises load and effort. When you see tone on a muscle that’s due to the decrease in body fat surrounding that muscle has nothing to do with the way a muscle is worked. You see marathon runners or elite cyclists with “toned” legs, that’s not because they’ve done that by lifting weights that’s due to their low body fat percentage which brings out the definition of the muscles more.

Why wouldnt you be able to add inches to your arms with bands? If the resistance is big enough, what would be the issue?

  • @SplashyandDuckiesadventures

I agree. Ive noticed that resistance bands are great for toning. I dont wanna get bigger yet. I wanna burn fat around my my arms chest back and sholders

Resistance bands build muscle in the same way as free weights do. They offer resistance that your muscles fight against.

  • @soothingrelaxing123

    who is he

  • @jasonashley4579

Some of the strongest men you'll ever come across take no supplements and lift homemade weights like trash bags full of water and pillow cases full of magazines or books combined with calisthenics , so bands will work just fine.

  • @ofstopi2023

    Well put and honest
