I'm 73 yrs old and haven't fished in 50 years -----so bought the Centron 2000 and also bought Trilene XL smooth 12 lb line. did i screw up on the line?
First off, welcome back to the sport of fishing. Yes, 12 lb line is a little heavy and thick for the 2000. The Kast King models for 12 lb are the 4000 & 5000. The 2000 was meant for 6-8 lb line. No big deal, I would just buy a spool of either 6 or 8 lb line and you will be fine. Thanks for watching and good luck on the water. Keep me posted on how you do.
@@danieljohndelrosario I have only used mine in freshwater. I have seen many reviews that say they weren't holding up well in saltwater and a few that say they did fine. I have reached out to Kast King to ask them this question. I will let you know when I hear back. Good question and thanks for watching.
