  • Some Olympic swimmers feel they were cheated after a group of Chinese swimmers tested positive for a banned heart drug. The incident occurred months before the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and the swimmers were still allowed to compete, with some even winning gold medals. With the Paris Olympics approaching, there are concerns about some of these accused athletes competing. Former USA swimming national team coach Jesse Moore joined "NewsNation Now" to discuss the controversy.

This is crazy. They need to be stopped. The Olympic Committee needs to be held responsible.

The cheats need to lose their medals and be banned from the Olympics.

    More than US.
Swimmers from US, GB, Australia, Canada, Japan & Hungary cheated out of higher placing. US relay team, Regan Smith 🇺🇲& Duncan Scott 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 should all have won

Starting from the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996, and until the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020 (six Olympic Games in a row) in the Men's Backstroke at distances of 100 and 200 meters, the representatives of the USA won, until He came - Evgeny Rylov. It was He who broke this US backstroke streak that began with the last Millennium.

Hopefully this accusation is not kind of discrimination or a new form of world colonization in sport, such as was used by Western forces to colonize third world countries in the 18th and 19th centuries. We remembered that a few years ago African Americans were not allowed to enter sports fields to play sports in the USA because of their skin or color.

I'd go as far as to say your comment here is racist towards westerners. It's an incredibly poor take.

"It's common to use substances that help you but aren't cheating". That seems clear.
