  • I nearly didn't record this as there were so few pieces fired, but I'm glad I did in the end.
Trying out some little pieces for a craft fayre for young children I'm attending, and wanted to see which glazes worked best before I glazed the entire set. Also a couple of experimental pieces I was keen to see how they turned out.
I love trying something new, and also don't mind when they don't turn out as I'd hoped as that is when I learn so much more and enjoy the highs even more.
Big change in my personal circumstances recently as I am now fully retired and anticipate being able to have considerable more time in the studio. Still deciding how I want to spend that time, but for now just enjoying the multiple options and the freedom of time to make that decision.
    Happy days!!!!
Thanks as always for your support and encouragement. The last 18 months have been pretty challenging for me personally and not have much time or mental headspace to post much content, but hopefully this will change now going forwards. Excited for what the future months will bring :)

Thanks Michele, great to test out before running the full batch through a glazing session. I did feel naughty firing such a small kiln load though lol

Thanks, looking forwards to glazing the full set of cress heads now, given me better ideas of which glazes to use. Excited for retirement plans!

Thanks, I was surprised how much I liked the pastel too. So used to vibrant colours, it's nice to see something more delicate ❤

I must have missed this one Jeanette, what gorgeous little kittens and magnets so cute. Shame about your handle😢 the last pot is stunning, def a shame to put something inside of it😊❤❤

Lol, easy to miss, it was pretty short and sweet! Gutted about the handle crack but it wasn't my usually application technique so lesson learnt, but its currently making a nice paintbrush holder in the studio 😀

Such great pieces! Can you share what color S&C the oranges you used are? I am looking for a bright orange like the one I saw on your pieces. kind of an orange yellow color.

Hi ,sorry for delay in replying, don't know how I missed this comment. The best orange I use is Mayco Stroke and Coat Tutu Tango. I have the speckled variety. It's a georgous orange and made softer shade when applied with some honey flux.
