    Enrico, first off - you're a G.
Thank you for all that information!
One thing I can suggest (if you are looking to grow this channel further) is to have a better angle when setting your camera. A place where your hands can be seen will be ideal because body language plays a big part in capturing one's attention. And the last thing is maybe turning the volume of the music in the background a little bit down, other than that, everything was great!

Hey I saw on that housing situation in Groningen is really bad, finding a house can be really difficult as an international student, can you please elaborate on that?
    Thank you!

the uni keeps inviting more international students, meanwhile the city council was busy removing student housing licenses. Landlords need a license to rent to students. it was a massive mess and kinda politically exploded, and a ton of new high rise student apartment buildings were built/are being built.
at one point it got so bad, they basically set up disaster tents with 30 people per tent n still charged like 300 euros a week. now the situation is improving, but has a long way to go, as communication between the Uni and the council is still basically non existent. As much as i love Groningen, i was an international student there and spent 10 years in Groningen, i dont recommend going there unless you have housing covered beforehand
a lot of student houses will also post on social media for new room mates before involving the landlord. i lived in a student house for years, and every time someone left, wed just throw an add on social media etc n then get to select a new housemate ourselves, so official channels are not your only choice

@@Max-hw7xl I mean to study there for 2025-2026. Do you have any advice on finding accommodation? When should I start?

@@kiara4345 the problem of housing has become a lot better in recent years. When you apply, ask your contacts at the uni for advice. there are international student organizations too that can point you in the right direction.
you can also just google some student housing organizations in groningen that you may already be able to sign up for. some organizations award points every month while ur a member and give priority for vacant houses based on your points
many student houses will also privately advertise vacancies on FB etc where the landlord lets the other tenants find a new housemate

Thanks for your videos. I may come to Groningen september 2023. Have you spoken about the situation of part time job in your channel? Is it hard to find one? Since the rent prices are considerably high, I am stressful about my finance situation if I should come there.

If you want a part time job, it is probably the best that you have a job in a dancing/ cafe/bar. The best way to meet other people, and getting paid too.
The is also an employment agency called Asa Uitzendbureau. At least that was in my student days. But of course there are many other employment agencies in Groningen. Ask your fellow students, or maybe teachers (of google).
Oh, Enrico... I think you don' t drink enough. Okay, don't do like me, at your age, 3 - 5 nights a week, hanging around in Bars.
But at least thursday and saturday nights.

Thanks for posting this video. I am originally from Dubai, and I am moving to Uni of Groningen in May.
When should I start looking for rent? It’s now March and I want to move in May.

I would suggest you to start looking as soon as possible. Searching for a place in Groningen is a process that can take a long time and in May there are already many students searching. So if I was you I would try to find a place before the end of April :)
