At GrowingDeer.tv we're all about showing hunters what we are doing each week in the field as we work on our Proving Grounds and others to have better deer hunting! If The hunting strategies and techniques we show can be used if you are hunting public or private land. Our farm has wild, free-ranging deer. If we can grow big antlers on these tough Ozark Mountain bucks, you can too! Good wildlife management tactics, deer management, and food plots with regenerative ag techniques that build better soils! Watch our weekly episodes to see what we're doing, the advice that Dr. Grant Woods (Ph.D Wildlife Biologist) has to share along the way. - Sport
I love the stuff on smaller properties. I hope to see more like this.
Thanks Art!
Same here! Most people don’t own enough land to keep the deer on there land all year. So this is helpful
Nice explanation on the thermal/timing and movement 👍👍
Glad you liked it
Would love to see more about this property!!!!
Axel - We plan to revisit some of our projects after turkey season!
I really appreciate these property improvement videos, especially on various sized parcels
Thanks! We enjoy working with landowners!
Always good information from Dr. Grant. Love when the focus is on small properties as this is what the majority of us have.
yes sir!
Growing deer is my favorite hunting video on this app y’all do amazing keep it up 👍
Thanks!
These are the same kinds of things I'm dealing with on my property. I liked Grant's advice about properties in this size considering shooting 3 year olds. I agree, there's nothing wrong with waiting for older bucks and tagging does, but I let my kids take any doe or "decent" buck. Mainly it's been 3 year old bucks and one 4 year old in 7 years. As we improve our little property, I don't hunt very hard for me, I work hard to help my kids be successful at harvesting a deer. That keeps them interested year after year! Each hunter has a place in all of this, we just have to work together to become better stewards! The Lord put us here to work, learn, grow and to become! Become better tomorrow than we were today! I drifted off topic there, but it all ties together for me in God's creation! Keep up the great videos and lessons! I greatly appreciate them!
Thanks!
Fantastic exposition on wind phase (and deer reaction to it) and native veg needs.
And by the way, great advice on harvesting a buck in specific areas and the "hunter urge/disappointment". Always a tough decision (Remember those of us with kids getting their first.) Solid advice.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good info,thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Smaller acreage is easier to maintain and set up properly

Would you be willing to come to Virginia and look into a 100 acre property? Would love to have you!
Slate - We often help folks on the east coast by either traveling there or studying maps and visiting. We do charge for our services and there can be a lot of travel expense when going to the east coast.
I would love to have the growing deer team come down to Louisiana and assist me on a 70 acre 80%pine plantation/20%hardwood mix that I have. Dr Grant, do you do these types of travel?
Sure! We'll be in east Texas Tuesday working on a property that's mainly pines.
What’s a typical onsite charge for this type of assistance?
Will there be more on this property?
I hope we have some updates!
