It was narrated from Abu Mas’ud that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever recites the last two Verses of Surat Al-Baqarah at night, that will be sufficient for him.” [Bukhari & Muslim]
Scholars have said that the meaning of ‘sufficient for him’ is that they are sufficient for him instead of night prayer; it was also said: sufficient as protection from the devil, and it was further said: sufficient as protection from calamities; or possibly all those meanings put together.

My mother put this on every week. Along with Surah Al-Waqiah. I've memorised this two verses without knowing. I could read it along with him. I'm so thankful for what my mother has done for me! I never knew why she'd always put this on, read by Mishary Rashed Al-Afasy. Alhamdulillah.
