    I test rode one and within 5 seconds felt how good it is. Incredible handling. Loved it. I don't need another bike but I'm getting one of these because it feels so good to ride. It may even replace my old Daytona track bike. I think it would be a weapon on track.

      100% mate, it’s so nice isn’t it! It’s definitely been designed with track days in mind. Here in the UK there’s even a racing class for street bikes that I hear the STRS is doing very well in! An absolute track weapon for sure! You’ve got a Daytona? I’ve got a video coming out in the next hour or so regarding the ST and Daytonas that I think you need to watch. A bolt came loose on mine the other day and I almost crashed because of it. Worth checking the bolts in the video. Make sure you watch it (and subscribe if you can :)

    My 2023 RS is my 3rd consecutive street triple and is a monumental step up from my 2020 RS, handling ,acceleration and braking is all at a new level, I love it but my single gripe is the TFT which is the worst of the 765s but by no means a deal breaker.

      It’s a great bike and so many improvements! I’ve heard a couple of people not happy with the TFT is it not as good as the last model? Don’t forget to hit that sub bro! Need to grow this channel ahah!

    This is the "GEN 3".
    GEN 1 was >2107, GEN 2 was >2020 and GEN 3 is >2023. I had a GEN 2 for 2.5 years and it was amazing, but now got the GEN 3 in silver ice and its even better than the GEN 2. 😃

    looks superb, im going to have to stop watching vids like this as i always want one lol - what's the riding position like? is it fairly upright as my ageing back doesn't like to be too bent after hours on the road touring

    • @sweet-triple-UK
      @sweet-triple-UK  Před 8 měsíci +1

      @Bob-ts2tu the riding position is fine. It's more comfortable than my 2016 Street Triple R but also more leaned forward and sporty, don't know how they have done that. I think it's because the seat is so plush and bars a bit wider. I guess you have to remember it is a sports bike, so for long rides you will end up feeling it in wrists and knees a bit, this may be because I'm a bit taller at 6F,2" and will be more cramped than shorter riders. However, my back has never been an issue on these bikes and I've done tours in excess of 1300 miles in a week, I also don't have the best back in general so do suffer sat for long times at work in my chair for example, I think this may be because the bike is so engaging it encourages you to move around on the seat a bit and keep mobile.... I guess the only way would be for you to go and take one for a test ride? What are you riding currently? It will feel a lot less comfortable than a tourer or adventure bike, but massively more comfortable than a full faired sports bike like a R1, S1000RR, ZX6R etc. You certainly wont regret putting up with the less space when you get to the twisty mountain passes and with ease leave your adventure bike mates in the dust with a much bigger grin at the end of the ride. Downside is it will be the complete opposite on the longer stretches with non ideal roads, or dirt track sections I've done this on the street triple too!

    That is an awesome vid mate. Love this bike and the colour. I even like the headlights which have been considerably smoothed out.
    Now for the tricky question of whether you would go for this or a Speed Triple 🤔

    • @sweet-triple-UK
      @sweet-triple-UK  Před 10 měsíci +3

      Thanks mate. I would go for the street triple in a heartbeat no question. I’ve ridden both and hands down this is more fun to ride. Not so much grunt and power but so ridiculously flickable and nimble. A proper little scalpel for both road and track riding.

      100% @solo_dingo I’d buy the Street as it is close enough on power but is the better handling bike. The Speed is also great handling but for some reason I have an affinity with the Street!

    Enjoyed your review of the new street triple rs,probably going to be my next bike!
    I currently have a 2017 street triple r 675 which has been great aside from a niggling problem I've had where the bike would refuse to start after I'd been riding for a while on a hot day, the bike would cycle through but not prime the fuel pump and would not start,wouldn't even turn over. Usually it would start after an hour in the shade but sometimes it wouldn't, any ideas, triumph Australia don't seem to have a clue.

    • @sweet-triple-UK
      @sweet-triple-UK  Před 9 měsíci +1

      So I have the same issue with my 676, it's the reg/rec I believe if not the battery. Definitely the first place to check would be your battery, then the reg/rec. Mine isn't presenting such a serious issue, it just needs a bit of throttle when starting hot. But I'm sure it will get worse. The reg/recs on these are notorious for this hot start issue. Which makes me think, it's really sus that Triumph Aus have no idea about this issue!?! Maybe trying to sell you that 765RS and nail you down on the price of the 675.... I'm a cynical bastard but maybe take it to an independent mechanic that knows Triumphs. I'm not a mechanic but you can diagnose this issue with at multimeter and knowing what the voltages should be at idle, and with the engine off. Think it's something like 14v at idle and 12 with engine off (but best to check). If it's not presenting the right voltages the reg/rec needs replacing. Anyone on here with technical know how got a better answer and can help out @benmaisano4484 ? Enjoy the 765 if you buy one mate, awesome bike!

    • @benmaisano4484
      @benmaisano4484 Před 9 měsíci

      Thanks a lot for replying sweettriple,they diagnosed a main relay circuit and replaced it, but the bike still won't start, and now it won't start cold, sometimes when it cycle through you can hear the fuel pump trying to prime for about ten seconds and it sounds really laboured,like it's struggling, press the starter,nothing.
      I will suggest the rec to the service department when I take it back to them, thanks for helping me out.

    • @sweet-triple-UK
      @sweet-triple-UK  Před 9 měsíci

      Worth mentioning, my issue is when the bike is hot like when I've stopped for fuel. Mine starts find when cold. So may be a different issue. But also could be the same.

      Hey mate, thanks for watching and for the comment. Bikes are subjective aren't they and I do love the MT09 and XSR900, I also learned on an MT07 and it's a great bike, however I don't think the MT07 really compares though, the STRS and MT09s are in a different league. Also the STRS has quite a pedigree of racing in Moto2 so I suspect they would go a tad quicker round a track. Only way to tell would be to put decent rider on both bikes and put them round a track... They do have a class here in the UK it's called the Street Bike Cup, the STRS dominates in that class, over all others including the MT09 and Z900! The MT09 is certainly a hooligan, faster to wheelie and arguably a more "fun" bike to ride on the street, they are pretty awesome. I actually almost bought one instead of my Street Triple, however I had in mind that I would want to do trackdays so I bought the ST instead.
