I am trying so hard to enjoy the items that I have but I have a hard time. I love shopping and was laid off over quarantine so I was spending a lot of time at home on my computer online shopping. I want to do better for the environment by not buying things as much but shopping has definitely been one of the things I struggle with the most... I have been trying to thrift and shop local/on Etsy if I feel the urge. I also have been downsizing my closet by selling on Poshmark in my free time which has been good for me. Hopefully, I can continue to improve, I want to be content with the things that I own and not feel the need to purchase extras eventually :) Thanks for being an inspiration in my journey! I have really been enjoying your videos over the quarantine!

My three fave things I've been doing since quarantine started, is embroidery (I haven't done it since I was like 8), painting my nails (which I hadn't done in years) and most of all... Every night my boyfriend and I would sit down to eat dinner and rewatch desperate housewives, all 8 seasons were made available on Amazon prime video. We both watched it when it was originally on the telly, way back in the day but rewatching it with him as an adult has been such a fun experience lol.

I had a really similar problem with my hair;It just constantly was greasy and never felt clean. But recently I started using the no poo method and it’s completely transformed my hair. There a multiple different methods, but the one I use only requires you to wash your hair with a baking soda water mix and apple cider vinegar and water mix once a week or so and water rinses every few days. It’s a super echo friendly alternative to shampoo and may help your grease and dandruff.
I have another suggestion for iced coffee! I use the Bialetti stove top espresso maker and Lavazza Rossa ground coffee. I brew it and then put it in a container in the fridge over night! Then in the morning or later in the day I pour it over ice, add cashew milk + a little bit of maple syrup and it’s amazing 💗

I love this video! I have been loving your videos lately, so good job despite the crazy circumstances! For your new place, you should do some DIY decor pieces and make a video about it! Maybe you can make a cute pillow with some winnie the pooh fabric or thrift some fabric/use vintage bed sheets or materials like that. Quilting may seem scary at first, but there are really easy ways of making blankets such as tie blankets, where you don't actually have to quilt it with the machine, so I could see you making a simple winnie the pooh themed quilt top and tie it or do a rag quilt with it. Also DIY curtains! Anyways, excited to see some future home decor stuff!

I recommend getting a shampoo brush. You can get them on amazon. It helps to ensure your shampoo actually cleans your scalp, plus gives your head a nice little massage.
I don't know if you do this already, but what you said about sunscreen and your hair reminded me of drum corps last summer because all the girls would always make sure to put sunscreen on their scalp when going outside. Always put on any areas that are exposed to sun especially if your are wearing a side/middle part and even on the front hair line cause that can cause damage to your hair root and cuticles. Just a helpful note for anyone

The whole getting out of the shower and feeling like. You haven't showered is something I struggle with too 😔 it's the worst feeling ever!!! I literally have no idea have to change it.
I struggle with this too. But as weird as it sounds and as basic soap (maybe not the best either) but makes me feel clean is Irish spring bar soap just the plain one . And a good loofa. Annnd after I use a moisturizing body wash I use both one after the other. I also have to shampoo twice then condition. It’s the only way I can make the icky feeling go away. I’m so happy I’m not alone in that !

When they first closed here in Wisconsin I whined to my husband saying, "Isn't Starbucks an essential business???" I can now get my fav summer coffee drink as they opened the drive thru. I have a similar coffee machine (the Dolce Gusto) and I've ditched to the reusable pods (not the plastic ones, but the ones made of aluminum). I got used to them pretty quickly and I also get to chose which coffee powder goes inside. I highly suggest to give them a try!
If you’re looking for a better espresso machine my husband and I use the Breville Espresso Machine. 🤗 It’s easy to use and steams and makes great espresso. There are more in-depth reviews on Amazon but it’s a great at home coffee set if you’re someone who goes out to get coffee often. We’ve saved a lot of money with it. The machine is pricey, but doing the math for how often you’d go out to get coffee per month, it adds up to almost the same if you go frequently 😂
Oh, also, I know what you mean about the hair thing. I started using Shea Moisture's activated charcoal and mint conditioner (usually after head and shoulders shampoo) and I adore the clean feeling it gives my hair! I've never, ever had another shampoo or conditioner do that. It's also paraben, etc. free, fair trade, cruelty free, etc. Definitely recommend!
You can also try apple cider vinegar mixed with warm water to get rid of buildup on your scalp! Or try double washing (wash your hair twice with shampoo, rinsing in-between) and make sure you massage your entire scalp, especially where you get oily.
hehe i used to love the flash during the first and second seasons! kinda just stopped watching but my siblings started binging it on the tv during quarantine as well and i kinda just joined in. the time travel can get super annoying but i must agree with you that it's entertaining :)
Hahaha yes! Although the last season that’s up wasn’t my favorite, apparently they weren’t even able to finish it because of COVID so it kind of ended at a weird place!
Honestly, I just love listening to you talk! You should do more ~lifestyle~ videos! Also another great sunscreen is the mineral sunscreen by Versed! Zero white cast and glides on like a moisturizer.
There's an oil for the head that you can get from the doctor that will lessen the sebum on your head. More sebatious oil is really hard to remove, and if you have dandruff it's trapping that fungus (yes dandruff is a fungus and it's on everyone's body every where, just not everyone reacts to it) on your scalp. Downside is, that sebatious oil keeps your hair really healthy so you may notice dryer hair. Super cleansing it may cause a cycle of cleanse, oil, cleanse instead of targeting the issue.
Nespresso capsules are actually sustainable - they are made out of aluminum! They also offer free Nespresso-UPS recycling and repurpose the aluminum to make new products. The coffee grinds are also composted! They have a whole sustainability section on their website! I 10/10 recommend checking it out!

You’re right we do need to love what we have. What I’ve been loving during this time is my dogs. It’s just me and my husband here at home. I miss family gatherings. I thank goodness for my dogs. I bought myself some roses last week. I’m literally stopping to smell the roses. 🌹

The whole getting out of the shower and feeling like. You haven't showered is something I struggle with too 😔 it's the worst feeling ever!!! I literally have no idea have to change it.

I struggle with this too. But as weird as it sounds and as basic soap (maybe not the best either) but makes me feel clean is Irish spring bar soap just the plain one . And a good loofa. Annnd after I use a moisturizing body wash I use both one after the other. I also have to shampoo twice then condition. It’s the only way I can make the icky feeling go away. I’m so happy I’m not alone in that !

This was such a nice change if pace. It was relaxing and interesting to hear a bit about who you are. I understand about Starbucks. When they first closed here in Wisconsin I whined to my husband saying, "Isn't Starbucks an essential business???" I can now get my fav summer coffee drink as they opened the drive thru. I have a similar coffee machine (the Dolce Gusto) and I've ditched to the reusable pods (not the plastic ones, but the ones made of aluminum). I got used to them pretty quickly and I also get to chose which coffee powder goes inside. I highly suggest to give them a try!
If you’re looking for a better espresso machine my husband and I use the Breville Espresso Machine. 🤗 It’s easy to use and steams and makes great espresso. There are more in-depth reviews on Amazon but it’s a great at home coffee set if you’re someone who goes out to get coffee often. We’ve saved a lot of money with it. The machine is pricey, but doing the math for how often you’d go out to get coffee per month, it adds up to almost the same if you go frequently 😂
Oh, also, I know what you mean about the hair thing. I started using Shea Moisture's activated charcoal and mint conditioner (usually after head and shoulders shampoo) and I adore the clean feeling it gives my hair! I've never, ever had another shampoo or conditioner do that. It's also paraben, etc. free, fair trade, cruelty free, etc. Definitely recommend!

You can also try apple cider vinegar mixed with warm water to get rid of buildup on your scalp! Or try double washing (wash your hair twice with shampoo, rinsing in-between) and make sure you massage your entire scalp, especially where you get oily.
hehe i used to love the flash during the first and second seasons! kinda just stopped watching but my siblings started binging it on the tv during quarantine as well and i kinda just joined in. the time travel can get super annoying but i must agree with you that it's entertaining :)
Hahaha yes! Although the last season that’s up wasn’t my favorite, apparently they weren’t even able to finish it because of COVID so it kind of ended at a weird place!

There's an oil for the head that you can get from the doctor that will lessen the sebum on your head. More sebatious oil is really hard to remove, and if you have dandruff it's trapping that fungus (yes dandruff is a fungus and it's on everyone's body every where, just not everyone reacts to it) on your scalp. Downside is, that sebatious oil keeps your hair really healthy so you may notice dryer hair. Super cleansing it may cause a cycle of cleanse, oil, cleanse instead of targeting the issue.

Nespresso capsules are actually sustainable - they are made out of aluminum! They also offer free Nespresso-UPS recycling and repurpose the aluminum to make new products. The coffee grinds are also composted! They have a whole sustainability section on their website! I 10/10 recommend checking it out!
