  • First and foremost, if I can get 200 likes on this video I will do a giveaway for a brand new 10ft custom made shrimp castnet!
    In this video I will show you 3 different ways to throw the cast net. I will also show you all of the different parts of the castanets in detail as well as show you where and how I catch shrimp.

    I lost my favorite 10 ft net at the inlet a few weeks ago casting on pogies😭 damn loop came off my wrist and she gone! I almost like catching bait more than fishing if ya can believe that💪 keep living your best life.

    We I was much younger, my dad bought me a net so I could catch some shrimp.....for him while piloted the boat! I remember casting until my arms felt like falling off, but it was fun. Miss those days. Love your video. Mike D sent your channel.

    Great job on the video! I’m going to be purchasing my first shrimp net in the off season. You said that was a “catch all” net, is that a 3/8 mesh? Are your bigger nets 5/8? I’m having trouble finding which mesh size is best for shrimp. Thanks and keep the videos coming! I’m sure you’ll be giving your dad’s net away soon.

      Yes I think his net was 1/2 inch stretch mesh. And my nets are 5/8 inch stretch mesh. Thanks for compliment! Really appreciate it!

      Locally here it’s called Shoemaker nets but he is swamped during season. Set your alarm for February and get it for next season

    A 10ft net wears me out. How many lb per foot is it?

      Think its like a 1 lb per ft but really not sure. Throwing doesn't tire me as much as pulling it up. But this net is light compared to my 14ft.

      That one flip over the shoulder and divide the net in two... best way (also the tri-load) to not wear yourself out.
