In this video I give a short tour and test drive of the 1990 Chevrolet Caprice Classic. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I show the car idling as well as take it on a thorough test drive through the city and highway on various surfaces. A thorough drive of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Absolutely INSANE how this car was only 21 years old at the time of this video. Insane how time flies
Now 21 years ago would be some 2003 Civic. From the time of recording (2011), 2003 was only 8 years ago
Wow
I love those cars. I love big squares like this, and that beautiful sounding V8. You just can’t beat it.
24 year old car looks just like it came off the show room floor. very nice caprice
They were wonderful car's
32 years old now, and still looks fireee, I really want to get one of those
21 years old then.
Skinny steering wheels, bench seats, and column shift. Total style and class !
Rockwood Joe that’s why I loved my base line 2002 Chevrolet Impala. Gotta love the bench seat and column shift. Some people give them a bad rep but I love them.
Whenever sitting in another person car your hand goes for the column shifter every time right?
Bob Jones lol exactly. I have a 2012 Focus now and I’m used to the floor shifter. But nothing beats a good ol’ bench and column shifter.
They need to bring column shifters back in the worst way
Sometimes, I wish that my 2016 Ford Escape would have a column shifter. At least it still has the old fashioned hand crank for the e-brakes, instead of 1 of those weird electronic e-brakes. Ford decided to start putting those in the Escape when they came out with the redesigned model of the 3rd Generation, back in 2017.
Absolutely gorgeous classic American car! Wish I could buy one just like it!
Just picked one up two weeks ago. Wanted one since I was 16. I finally have one at 31 and I love it.
ScoobyDigits same thing bro but still I haven’t got one yet but I’ll by ends of my 20s
Im 16 now and been wanting 1 since i was 10
I miss all those large american sedans... too bad their sizes all got smaller and smaller....
thanks for all your reviews
I wish you still did cars like these.
You're starting to be everywhere.
He did a 1989 Chevy blazer awhile back
I'm from Saudi arabia and I have Caprice 1988 classic. I feel like a king in the road no one is missing around when they see this heavy metal lol. ahhhh the only problem with this car is the gasolin that you need to re-full the tank again and again. but here in my country it's not that big problem. I hope the amrican
manufacture find a way to rebulidd such car like that. im still inlove with this type cars. WE ARE NOW AT 2016 and this car in so often i see it in the road.
kingfehran me 2 am from saudi arabia got the same car 1990 the only problem is gas and on the road no one can get near you
Mike Anderson
I'm agree with you guys Caprice in that time was best in Automobile filed.
C'mon! Why GM/Ford/Chrysler need find a way to rebuild, when no one in protest with this? They just get lazy and lazy with each year, more then others!
kingfehran
Yeah those full-size sedan from the 80s are gas guzzlers they go through the gas real fast
I remember going to Saudi in tbe 90's with my family, and seeing American cars every where
that 305 sounds sooooooooo beautiful.. so deep and rich.. I miss that soo much..
I'm a proud owner of a 1988 caprice classic since 2003.......the best GM car in mass production ever made.......
Back in the day we owned a couple of caprices. Some of the best vehicles we've ever driven.
I 'm crazy about this car , i love it
same i am crazy too
what a great car....damn I miss those, that specific one is a pretty sweet specimen
My father had this when We lived in Saudi arabia, one of the best car we ever had, No one can beat those comfy seats feels like Sofas of King's Palace room
My cousin is the reason why I bought one. He has a 89 I have a 86 but when I was young he worked as a graphic designer for red bull and lived by the ocean in Santa Monica and omg when I would visit and we would leave his apt garage. The look of people's faces. Made me want one.
Got mine today. It ain't a car. It's a god damn boat.
what is the approx price of this car...
Depends on what condition you buy it in. If the Engine and gears are good should be anywhere between $2000 - $5000
Most of them are
ASS_Worshiper ws
ASS_Worshiper you want a boat go get a 69-73 Chrysler newyorker or any C body at that
I really wish we could still have vehicles these days with a squarish, rectilinear design. Even some more recent vehicles like the 2001 last-gen Jeep Cherokee XJ and the current Mercedes G-Class have boxy designs, it would be nice to see it make sort of a comeback.
I have to compliment you on how much you've kept it stock. Most Caprices from this year nowadays are donked up on 26"s and covered in candy paint and rhinestone subwoofers. Keeping it original really does make it stand out.
i drove a 1990 police package caprice when i was a deputy sheriff ............No suspects ever out ran it in a pursuit............was an all round great car.
Sure the Crown Victoria did the same.
Man, I've subscribed your channel and I've seen lots of test drives and in depht tours. This particular chevrolet impressed me a lot... how can people say America makes bad cars? It seems like a confortable, sturdy and affordable car. Nice work!!! Greetings from Portugal.
Love that shape. An American icon on wheels.
3 people watched this and disliked it when they fastened the seatbelt of their Honda Civic. Great vid! These old cars are solid and rarely let you down.
My friend's parents had one of these and they let me drive it a couple times it was pretty fun🎉
Once again, you did a GREAT job showing this beautiful car!! My grandmother bought one of these right off the line in the mid 1980's and it was a GREAT car!!!
We owned two Caprice Wagons. One was an '86 and the other was an '89. Both cars were very solid vehicles.
i was 7 when this car was made i love these chevys
I have an 89 Caprice, has 197k miles and still runs and drives amazing. Your left turn signal is out btw lol.
They don't make good cars like these anymore
Dominc Maccarone No he is not, maybe you are out of your mind thinking that american cars today that look like european or asian could get a chance with true american ones from the late 80s and 90s.
Old American Muscle

Chevy Caprice was a real car!
Raj K. yes you are right
this is your best cam position man with a view of the pedals
I don't understand why they can't make one of these nowadays. The built quality is great, same for old Cadillacs.
+oDJOldskull Probably because only 2 people would buy it... and I would certainly be one of them.
+CzarPeppers people don't know what means built quality and reliability. They don't know better. I join you when it comes to buying :)
That they certainly don't. When it comes to cars I never buy newer than 1990, they just don't make cars like they use to. That and they just don't feel like they have a soul like these cars do.
CzarPeppers I get what you mean. By my own will I've decided to purchase a 1989 Mercedes-Benz W201 190E 2.3 liter L4. I just didn't see myself with these newer stuff. Look even at the quality of seats made of leather for example. In the old times you had that plushy-cushy feeling just as you were sitting on a sofa. Nowadays they are so minimalistic and economic that it literally hurts your a$$. I can't find my spot in another car that I own - 2008 Volkswagen Golf V. It wants to be 'sporty' but the engine has only 75HP. It has 5 horrible gears with a long shifter that makes it impossible to call 'sport compact car'. Not to mention that evertyhing inside and outside looks so plastic and cheap for a 25 000 $ car. I regret. There were Buicks, Pontiacs... I don't know why I have chosen that VW crap. Sorry to the community for that mistake.
Nice choice, those Mercedes are pretty great cars. I use to own a 1980 BMW 528i, and the leather seat were beautiful, with the kind of carpet on the floors you would have in a house. Very comfortable for such a small car with quite a punch. Not a super powerful car at 160hp, but considering their size they certainly aren't slow.
I've also owned some of those big American cars from the 1980's, nothing they make today comes close to how comfortable those things are. I can be on the highway in one of those things for 12 hours straight and be as comfortable at the end of the journey as I was at the start of it.
Right now I'm trying to get my hands on a 1988 Chevy Caprice wagon I found on craigslist. Since moving out into the country that's exactly the kind of car I want to be driving. Plus, a great car for a musician who needs to transport lots of equipment around.
My first car was a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice Classic with 105k miles on the odometer. The car was 15 years old when I got it and in decent shape despite the headliner sagging. I regret selling it because Chevy doesn’t build them like that anymore. Honestly I would do anything to drive a car like that again.
Absolutely love this car. White in color with no vinyl top...just about as good as it gets! The only things missing are the 350LT1 engine and the 2 door option. My mom gave me her Chevy Caprice Classic and I put 260K miles on it.
Timeless design, rumbling V8...…….. Man, I love this car.....
It's in such beautiful condition - whoever owned it must have cherished it.
You are exactly right on this! I think when turning or rounding corners their not the best but they are very smooyh and for a larger car they feel easy to steer. I used to own a 89 caprice classic! I made a vid thats on my channel of it from 3 years ago. I sold it to my neighbor and i drive it every once in a while. I just love those cars but my neighbor has a problem with non of the electricity working now
Thank You for a nice ride in this beautiful Chevrolet Caprice Classic Year model 1991. Greetings from Sweden.
Brought me nice memories. Not only the car but also the surrounding areas. Reminds me of Iowa ♥
Great video. It brings me homesickness due that My father teached me how to drive in hi’s 87 pearl white caprice classic brougham when i was about 12, now im 26 and really to drive or buy this majestic car some day.
هذه السياره إلى الآن موجوده عندنا بالسعودية 😍👏
omg my grandfather had one back in the day!!! it was like a blue! when I was little i thought it was like the biggest car on earth.
I’m in love with the taillights and wheels
Gorgeous car, a shame they no longer do their duties as cabs and cop cars...One of the, if not the best looking car of its time
best car made ever.
Nope. 69 Charger is. And btw, the older Caprice Classics looked better. I like the 1977 Caprice more.
Beautiful man I love this car so much.

Outstanding car, was my first dream car, i wish GM consider re-manufacturing it in new concept
, it will right away score the best selling in Oil Gulf Countries...amazing vehicle, multipurpose car.
That is a beautiful car. Thank you for that drive along video.

My dad had 2 of them my days this brings back memories
we have an ' 87 Caprice and it is my favourite car we have ever owned and do own! IT RULES!!
I love these " Box Chevys " nice classic ride and classic v8
Love these cars. I learned to drive in my Dad's 85 Caprice. Great car. Wish I had one.... with an LS1 upgrade. ;)
This thing would be perfect for my US tour this summer...I just love this generation of Caprices!
Love these Caprice Classic’s. Excellent full size car motoring.
The best video quality comes right after he uploads it.
Love these old land yachts! Real class
Thank you! One thing I picked up was the very prominent engine noise. I rode in that very model in the US in 1987. Not much tire noise but the engine noise was very loud compared to how I remembered it.
Your best, I always enjoy your videos man.
Another memory of this car was that we had a visitor come visit my uncle n the doors on these were so heavy that in trying to get out of the car the visitor caught his finger in the door as someone closed it…. Ended up severing the top part of his finger right off!😲… my uncle being a surgeon stitched his finger right up👍😂
Nicely done, as always.
ughh what a dream
, I am buying one ASAP
Amazing machine i miss that era of US cars that will not come back cuz of fuel prices and economical environmental change in the world... Awesome reviews u got man stay blessed ...Greetings from Pakistan ..RIP Caprice ❤️💐👏👍
in Saudi Arabia this car is very very popular
in rural back woods parts of the south they are still being sold at Chevrolet dealers who think its still 1989 . Hell, they even have a few of "lasts years" iroc camaros that no body wants haha XD
Jay Smart which dealer I want to check them out haha
Had a couple of them many many years ago and they where nice to drive
It's weird how much yet how little changed between 1984 when my Caprice was made and 1990 when this one was.
That was a real nice looking year for this car....
Awesome Kyle! Great vid as always!
I love that first 11seconds opening.... it's epic :) :)
Sweet ride can't wait to get one
awesome tour. This style of Caprice is my fav. wish they would remake this style not only that but in Norh America where it should be built to begin with.
bro nice video and especially that we can halfway see you through the rearview mirror in the 3rd person version...nice work nice car / Wish you'd make a land yacht comparison
I had the 1989 caprice classic with the v6 engine mine was blue with the blue cloth interior got 27 miles out on the road to that gallon good that was in 2001. sold the car.
awesome job kyle!
I love this car!!! love the body style!!
I always enjoy your videos. Great car, love the older square-ish domestic beasts. If I could afford the gas I would love to have a solid car like that (in addition to my 94 Roadmaster wagon, that is!)
I love my Gbody Malibu but a Caprice Classic is my dream car rn
my favorite video you have done
one of the best cars ever
When Chevy built great cars! I miss these! My parents had one in the 80s. It was a 1986 Caprice Classic Brougham.
I had one that was a old taxi and it had the 350 v8..loved that car even though it was still yellow!
Nice car man, huge! And pretty fast !
Why the manufacturers stopped making these legends cars 😤😭 we had 1987 and it was amazing and comfortable than any today cars
Can’t believe this car has same engine as my dad’s Firebird.
Smooth ride!
Had an 87 for over 10 years. Great car!
I've had a few of these.. A 79 classic an 84 impala "same body as a caprice" an 87 caprice and a 1990 Chevrolet Caprice.. That was the last year of the square body type. Then i had a 1992 Chevrolet Caprice... That one had a round body style but the engine was the same most of it's mechanical parts. All were fun ... All have very good air conditioning. Only thing is.. I never had one that the cruise control worked in it lol ... But besides that a great car with many great times and memories behind the wheel of them.
love the cars from the 80s-early 90s
This reminds me a lot of my dad's 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
Nice. And Solid Runs Great.
I enjoyed your video we used to have one of these. Also speaking of power it can probably tow a medium size trailer 1500 lbs or so😎😎
Thats my type of car right there.I love them Chevy Caprices. This one is a real beauty !
That ride was awesome!!! :))
I LOVE CAPRISE
i like the Intro when u come driving
I'm so in love with this 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
