  • First lap for me at Portsmouth's event. The rain dropped on the day before and left some parts of the course a bit slick. Placed the camera in front of the offending brake lines this time.

Nice mate what was the outcome of this event? I am looking to get into competing, what sort of level do you have to be? Say if I can get to a decent novice pace around my local mx track and mix it with the lads a bit is that enough to compete?

Hello MotoHooligan. I finished this event. Its a 3 hour event during which you attempt as many laps as possible. You ride within classes dependent on your ability and age. I reckon you can compete. The hare and hounds are easy enough to ride as you can just go round for as long as you want. So they make an ideal place to start enduro. Firstly you need to join a club to get an ACU licence. Im with Croydon mcc but any of the clubs will get you started. www.croydonmotorcycleclub.com/
Good bunch of guys who can defo help you put with knowledge. You will need an enduro model bike with lights and a quiet exhaust (less noisey than an mx pipe, anyway)
Start in the sportsman class and see how you get on.

@@endurouk300 Great advice thank you. I have a Beta 250rr that I use mainly around my local mx track and a few green lanes.
I am trying to join Sidcup MCC at the moment so that I can gain access to Canada Heights, although for some reason their club isn't listed on the ACU's website!?
I will drop them an email and see what's up with that.
Looking forward to doing an H&H next year!
