This album influences me in a big way, still to this very day. I owe a lot of my own artistic choices to what I learned over the years of musically "gooning" to this album and their next album "Peace Sells". Few other things have inspired me me in such a way to pick up a guitar and write music. The early "Jazz" era Megadeth hits me hard like life.
If they play whole this album live, I'll be the first in line.
Kings of Thrash is doing exactly that on tour right now! They have more original members of Megadeth than Megadeth does lol
Peace sells
is short album
@@zethsoco7278Yes, that’s because Boots isn’t on it due to a lawsuit from Nancy Sinatra whom sued the guys back some 30+ yrs ago now and she’s not even the artist who wrote this song for her. Lee Hazelwood did back in the early 60’s. Same thing goes with I Ain’t Superstitious which was also done by the late great Jeff Beck amongst other bands throughout the yrs. Ask your parents lol 😂! A courageous and violent work of thrash metal's early days and without a doubt the best and most savage album Megadeth has ever made.
This album is one of the most reliable works of the genre, i mean like is pure state Thrash Metal.
I totally forgot about this album! What a gem!!! High school memories hitting hard right now!!!!!! Thanks for posting this
I know that feeling, to hear music that you haven't heard in such a long time. It can bring you back to that place. You can smell it!
Been hooked on this one since 85
@@donaldboggs4069 I discovered Megadeth in, I believe, 88. Had the first few on cassette. Wish I still had them. After CTE, I drifted away musically. About 5 years ago, I started listening to Megadeth again, and they are very heavy in my rotation.

the best soundtrack for a job interview

sick dying dead is a great album. 8/10 imo. Just lacks a few more high points but the riffs are amazing
One of the best albums from Megadeth!! Thanks for sharing!!

this was actually my favorite line up..
Of course the Nick Menza Marty Friedman too.
I got this in 86. Rattlehead is still my favorite
This the first time I'm hearing the original mix, and it's so much better than both of the remasters!

The 2018 Final Kill is my go-to choice, but whatever version I hear the power and intensity is incredible. A thrilling debut, and one of my favourite metal albums.
It is a good album and part of the excellent releases of 1985, such as slayer- Hell awaits, Kreator - Endless pain, Exodus-Bonded by blood, Anthrax - Spreading the Disease, Destruction - Infernal Overkill and several more. But, personally, "Peace sells" in 1986, its sound became more professional and, well, came the change of record company like Capitol records, which led it to be more massive.
My favorite Megadeth album hands down
Gar Samuelson is my favorite drummer of any metal band.
The original recordings. NOT any other versions! In my opinion, the best fucking MEGADETH album ever!! So raw! HUNGRY! INTENCE!
looking down the cross...one of the best songs ever written by anyone!
Well said . I agree
Absolutely
Their rawest to date
Speak no evil
I’ve always hated the remastered intro to Looking Down The Cross. Thanks for this!
Such a great album, fucking amazing...
The intro riff to the skull beneath the skin always chills the shit out of me.. sounds like fingernails scraping on metal sheets. I'm sure if Yngwie did it, it sounds fluid and flowing. However it would lack Mustaine's twisted metal arsenal which makes him a true original. Dave is thrash king

Classic and awesome album!
The holy grail of thrash genius in this album.
Amazing thrash metal's early days. Perfect and Insane! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I got this album one month ago and it's already been my treasure now.I really really totally love this album but the emotion has nothing to do with nostalgia. In 1985 I didn't come across Megadeath. So Far So Good album was my first encounter to Megadeth but I wasn't so interested in their music. I loved Rest in Peace album in 1990 but not a serious Megadeth fan. Now in 2022 I suddenly got involved in Megadeth
and I got the first album and got fascinated by them. The first album is really really great.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts man...well only 2 albums for me is very weak....risk and super collider...all the others are treasures that are waiting for us to discover them...go on ....
Remember when this came out. Got the casset. Mabey even a vinyl somewhere.
Yep I was waiting for it remember the sticker on the album x metallica gutiarest man them were good times
Only solo on the song killing is my business , first 3 solos on rattlehead ( last solo is dave ) and all solos on these boots is Chris Poland .
All other solos : dave mustaine

This is the Kill em all album in megadeth . The most raw megadeth album . If your a fan of raw albums like Kill em all this one has most of those elements. Dave was the main man on Kill em all giving Metallica the four horsemen , Jump in the fire and 4 other tracks .
You are absolutely right man...i believe the same think . Mustaine gave to metallica the speed and the crazy riffing on kill em all and help them to find their identity....and when he left and made Megadeth he found a second identity to continue his path....what a genius....
@@xtremeunderratedmusic When Lars and James fired him that morning in 1983 . They gave him no second chance . He asked them no second chance ? And they said no go . These boots isn't a bad song but the censorship ruins it on the album version
El único disco de megadeth que me gusta potente y furioso ya después le bajó de huevos y valió madres
This sounds good. I have the 2002 remaster. Still want to get the final kill too. And also this original. This 1 is the best. But final kill is good too. Just these boots are final kill is not that good. The vocals sounds a bit weird lol. I want the 1985 with these boots also. Seems you get only the remasters these days. At least this 1 is still the original 1985. There is 1985. 1999. 2002. And 2016. Version.
I have new respect for Exodus, they restocked Slayer , as Slayer was able to put on insane shows in 2014. Exodus have their own thing going, I think lack of continuity hurt Exodus.
What this has to do with Megadeth? They re cut from same cloth, Exodus, Mega, Slayer, Metallica connected one way or another.
mustaine´s rage
who are those on rattlehead?
First 3 solos poland , last solo dave
Mustaine is a metal God, easy. He is a lock for the Mount Rushmore of metal.... I think. My Mount Rushmore at this moment would be Oz, Lemmy, Dave and Dime. For now anyways. Tom and Lemmy could go either way
*Randy and Eddie are so past any genre that they can never count*
I would add KK Downing and Glen Tipton
And Alice Cooper too 😎
take out oz and put cliff up there. that guy was a legend from what I've seen.

Where is the cover of These Boots
Is the cd version that came out after the dissatisfaction of the band when the wrtist dixon wants money for the sales...
Not Dixon. Lee Hazelwood wrote it and performed by Nancy Sinatra.
Lee Hazelwood objected to its inclusion on the album after Mustaine altered the lyrics
The day when mustaine sounds (scream) like Hetfield (the vocal)
I still swear up and down on my copy of metallicas hit the lights on that metal blade album...cant remember name...that its mustaine singing even though he is only credited on guitar.
@@kirbyjohnson8417 You mean Metal Massacre, the compilation album? That's James Hetfield. It's a very crude and unpolished version compared to Kill 'em All but you can definitely hear it's him. Dave Mustaine has a more pronounced nasal snarl in his voice.
@Mr Pug there are muti0le "printings" of that album with different lineups... sure some sound like Hatfield. But the one I have sounds like Mustaine. Not sure which one I have as it's on Cassette and in a storage unit over 5k miles away right now.
You can easily hear their lack of musical knowledge, like Captain Caveman playing instruments
So why didn't you take that awful sex pistols song off of SFSGSW?
Best Megadeth cover? Cold sweat, SC.
My favorite Megadeth cover is Police Truck (originally by Dead Kennedys) or Melt the ice away (originally by Budgie)
