- The Resident Evil 4 remake blew me away with how good it is. And I'm not even a massive fan of the original game! But now I'm thinking I might be. So here's my review of Resident Evil 4 remake.

Quick, precise and to the point. Indeed, the game is a 10/10. Say no more.
The remake is a a masterpiece. There are so many improvements and additions that make the game feel fresh. The new combat system is extremely brutal and intense, the new and improved puzzles are a welcome change, and the story and characters are much more developed than the original. I personally think that some of the “cut” content will be making its way into Separate Ways, which actually makes a lot of sense in my opinion. 10/10 remake for me.
I still can't get why some ppl criticize the game, like yeah everyone love it except some dudes on Metacritic especially, Like On Steam it is high rated etc. So in reality it is success already, but still even Metacritic score why is that? The game is literally better then Re2r from remake perspective, and Re2r have more problems objectively then Re4r but i cant remember that some ppl were shiting on Re2r, so why is that happening with Re4r? Maybe Og re4 fans are just retarded unlike Re2 veterans i dunno
I play the GameCube version or this game...for 17 years. Am quite pleased with the remake.
I was at 20 hours last night when I checked. On hardcore and doing side missions along the way. On chapter 12 I believe

Just finished it and I'm just speechless. I keep getting this bursts of energy I just have to let it out in an overhyped weird way lol like crocker from fairly odd parents. I fucking loved every second LITERALLY the whole ride was just amazing!!!!! This and dead space is how u make fucking remakes!!!

It's not a great survival horror game, if it could even be called that. However, it is an exceptional action game.

I wish they could have redone chapter 7 a lil better. The part with the catapults is still super annoying
Annoying. I beat that catapult part in 4-5 mins. Shoot red barrel in the first catapult when you first enter on ground level then speed through raise the level of your catapult and bam. That it.
i had to restart so many times. Worst part of the game

Nah, the water hall and Ashley's AI are so much worse than the original. It's a great game, but not PERFECT.
Ashley's Ai is good and Water Hall is fine, what do you mean? Dude if u cant use her commands properly and basically play the game if is ur fault, it is not like og where it was so fucking easy to do that
Decima is by far the best engine going next to unreal 5. Re engine is nice but the performance is really really rough and the raytracing is pretty useless. Also, the hair strand setting actually looks much worse than the normal hair render

The performance is rough? Lmao. I’m getting over 90 FPS at Max settings. Sure, the game has a few issues with stuttering at launch, but RE engine is generally VERY well optimized.

Definitely a skill issue. This dude probably died 10 times when I beat it on hardcore on the second try only because I forgot to heal. And I'm 40 so what's his excuse I wonder?
personality and soul are removed, how is it perfect? unless you didn't like all the elements in the original that actually made it lovable. the character interactions, redesigns, writing/line changes, voice acting, movement, aiming/shooting are all WORSE lmao. anyone who loved the original was playing this turd constantly thinking to themselves "yeah, that was definitely better in the original" and it's true.. the only thing they did better was graphics and the normies are gonna love that cause graphics are all they look at.
Turd ? Off gameplay alone it’s 10 times better & that should always be the best part of a video game. Parrying, crouching, stealth kills, moving while aiming are all great chances. Encounter are more challenging with enemies being way more aggressive & moving way faster. In the original you could manipulate damn near the entire game with the knife making it far too easy & constantly buying rocket launchers to bypass all bosses. There’s none of that here. It has a darker atmosphere, the story was told better, Luis &
Ashley got a huge upgrade, the backtracking was great, all boss battle were more challenging. They even made the island section more creepy… The one thing you could say is some of the voice acting for certain characters wasn’t the best.
But hey I guess you can keep continuing to play with tank controls & manipulate slow enemies with a knife forever.
How was the writing worse? Or interactions? They actually made most of the characters better by giving them personalities. Including Ashley, she really had a better personality and an actual story arc unlike the og. Not shitting on the og btw or saying it's bad, but the characters and writing is better. The og was written in the early 2000s, so makes sense for that Era.
Aiming sucked in the original, I know it was a design choice but it I prefer it this way, you don't have to stop to shoot or stop to reload either.
