It's human nature. Some great comments here. Then there are those along the lines of, "Neal looks sick, is he okay?", or "Neal looks tired and worn out!". Neal is fine. We just need to look in the mirror and notice that we're all getting a bit older. But, the inner man is being renewed day by day! Enjoy the music!
To me he just put a little bit of weight because of the pandemic...like most people. Nothing wrong with how he looks at all.
I saw Neal talking in front of me after a Show 3 months ago, and he looked very young if you compare him in this video!! I saw him in a very good shape!!
Give Randy George some love guys. Dude is a monster bass player
Absolutely, Randy George is awesome! Yet, who isn't in Neal Morse Band...
Randy has been in my top 5 list for some time (with John Myung, Geddy Lee, Billy Sheehan and Chris Squire). I love his bass tone!
That be true!
He exactly knows how bass should sound and melt into the songs
So good to hear rock this day in age where they don't sing about violence or swearing every other word. Love some good prog rock.
Yes, you can also sing about the good feelings or good things. It's much more fun and that's what it's all about. Thanks for this comment.
Drummer is good, hope he gets some recognition in the future
That is Mike Portnoy, formally of Dream Theater. He is outstanding!
XD
😂
No, that’s Mike Portnoy from Sons of Apollo
look up DREAM THEATER
Keyboard player is so good creating a beauty over and over again during the song, those VOICES and them miracle happens when Eric sing in that way with Neal Morse, amazing music, I can hear this song all day long, THANK GUY'S, I'll love you forever.
Gotta love Randy George’s bass tone! Absolutely crushing!
It's really so superbly mixed
Yes he's a great bassist. One of the better ones. Almost a Tom Fowler but better than Stanley Clarke. (barely) :)
that chorus is a Captain HOOK
Boring as ever
amazing chorus love it
You can count on them to always have a good number of singalong moments in the albums
@@GhostriderPossumno one asked Mr idiot
Best of all. Best composition, best musicians, best text, best feeling, best of all. Great art.
Everything with Morse and Portnoy is always excellent, really uplifting, emotive and energetic.
Morse should be named in the same sentence with Jon Anderson, Peter Gabriel, and Jan Hammer for being a gifted melody writer!
Yes he should but this album is 'less' Neal.
He have said he came in with no ideas and a bunch of stuff from Bill and Eric. Now I doubt it's possible to keep Neal from spilling ideas from that head but credit where credit is due.
In prog circles he is with a bunch of others including Roine Stoldt from the Flower Kings.
I don't think Jan Hammer is nearly as talented as any of the others mentioned, by you or me.
I can be a snob. But putting J.H. in the list is like saying Kenny G. Belongs in the same sentence with Myles Davis and Pat Metheny.
@@jimmcgrath3581 Tell that to Jeff Beck who cites one of Jan Hammer's albums as very influential. It's not that you're a "snob", but just like ill-informed. Jan Hammer played in the original Mahavishnu Orchestra, for fuck's sake. I've seen Miles and Pat Metheny live, too, but MO would be too heavy for them.
If you re-read my statement, I was talking about "gifted melody writer". You know, like Lennon/McCartney, Burt Bacharach, Steven Wilson, Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello, Joni Mitchell, Miles, Brian Wilson, etc. Jan Hammer was able to bring his monstrous chops to Miami Vice--albeit with an 80s sound--but his work is rock solid. TOP NOTCH melodies!
Absolutely agree!😊👍
Phahahahahaah
When the quality of every member is heard clearly regardless of the headphones or speakers you have. That's real music
The boys are back in town ready to take us on another epic prog adventure
This is a rock symphony that takes you on a musical rollercoaster, which captivates you into another space and makes you forget time. Wonderful.
Something truly heartbreaking happened to me recently. But this song has told me that there is reason for it. i'd do it all again, because it'll lead to where i'm meant to go.
Neal Morse has cemented his place in the prog scene and he doesn’t seem to be slowing down
One of the better posts I read.
Morse found his ground. One step beyond for all of us
Life sucks and nothing can change that, but after hearing this song I feel uplifted. It's not the first time a NMB song has given me a little bit of comfort. Thanks guys.
Seeing this comment kinda cheered me up.
Most people fake being happy and act like life is a fun place, but it is not a fun place at all. Life sucks ass.
Life doesn't suck. We suck. But we are here, and we ought to be more grateful for that.
@@147pablox _"Life doesn't suck. We suck."_
You speak for yourself.
@@Eincrou Sadly, that's not the case. We're fucking destroying the planet and each other, but yeah, life is to blame, yeah sure...
@@147pablox _"We're fucking destroying the planet and each other"_
I'm not destroying the planet or anyone else. It has nothing to do with me.
You're some kind of activist, seeking to spread shame and collective guilt. Get out of my thread.
The NMB returns! Love this song, clearly a group effort. Modern prog at its best.
the mix on this album is unreal
Wat kan ik me hier over verheugen!! en over elf en halve maand live in Tilburg! Dit zijn de psalmen van vandaag. What a joy, next year in Tilburg! These are the psalms of our days.
The synergy of talent led by the creative genius Of Neal. I am blessed.
Musicman should make Eric Gillette signature guitar.
Fully agree!!! Eric is a wonderful guitar player!! He gets a superb tone!! I am sure he was very inspired by Petrucci who I also enjoy musically.
Agreed, amazingly talented musician. Could get a drum endorsement too. Look forward to new projects from him.
Check out his solo album “Afterthought.” Truly masterful playing. He can be a bit of a John Petrucci clone at times but with chops like that, I really don’t mind.
Absolutely!
I think it's funny he's playing a MM Petrucci model with Portnoy on drums.
It´s amazing how Portnoy brings any music to life! what a great musician! This sound like a mix between Dream Theater and Toto hahahahaha
With a dash of the Beatles. Neal and Mikes other band, "Yellow Matter Custard".
Superbe, comme d'habitude, un petit parfum de "dance on a volcano" pour notre plus grand plaisir
I hope these guy have another thousand years to live because i want them to keep accompany me with their music and make my day with every notes they creating
Good news, they should be around for far longer than that. More good news, where they're going, it it said that no instruments are needed--You Are The Instrument.
If not you can always join their Great Adventure. :)
Capolavoro indiscusso della musica mondiale
Neal and Mike are so good together. And surround themselves with outstanding and also creative musicians. I especially enjoy the difference between Eric's and Roine's guitar styles. [TNMB v TrAtl]
Agreed, but thats most because i do not like Stoilt his style too much. Also love the difference that espec Casey brings for Flying colors
Love.
These.
MEN.
Absolutely LOVE this band!!!!! Thank you God!!
.... if only they were ALL going on the cruise to the edge... {sniff}
Chorus gave me chills. Wow.
I like how Neal gives everyone a chance to show how fantastic they are. It's only getting better! Keep on rockin'.
Love the song! Feels to me like a new decade version of “The Call”. This song will be a fan favorite for sure!
As Always, Portnoy is incredible.
EG is the secret weapon in the importance of the sound to the NMB❤️
This is one of the great NMB song for sure.
Brazil is awaiting for you!!!
Gilette: the best you can get!
It always amazes me how effortless his singing seems...and the tone is so clear and pure that it's piercingly-beautiful!
Consummate musicians all round….Eric gets that 7 string glowing
Absolutely gorgeous song. Love the chord changes, particularly in the Bill lead vocal bit. Incredible.
I absolutely love that whole song! Truely from the heart!
This is the least ego performance ever. What an awesome song
OUTSTANDING
Neil diamond with the strong comeback
I'll revise my earlier message, just be glad that someone is still making this kind of music. Given the state of music lately there is so much crap out there. I'm happy that this band is playing and I would much rather hear this then the crap. Keep rocking boys!
Happens when we grow into shoes too early.
We lost Jimi, we lost Frank, got into Neal about 25 years ago. Glad I did.
What a beautiful piece of prog art (video included) !!! Man, this band has SOUL!!!
This may already be my favorite NMB song. WHAT A BANGER
Wow!! Amazing!! Beautiful!!
Cinco galacticos!! que pedazo de banda.....
Opening keyboard throws me back to Tony Banks - A Curious Feeling - The Lie. Great!!!
Totally heard a Genesis vibe on the opener!
Some chrono trigger vibes in neals guitar part!
neal morse band is back!!!
PROGRESSIVE BALLAD
He is just starting to learn.. give him time
This song is definitely MAJESTIC!!
Neal Morse is back!
Love the song! So guitar driven, and Eric continues to find his voice more and more each album! Cannot wait to hear the whole thing!
Didn't he even do a usually-Morselike "Whoo!" at the end ?
@@jimcarey7150 I think so hahaha!
The best inspire after all limitation for about 1.5 year!
I also do it all again! From Japan!
Maravilloso. Algo que dejó de hacer y ha olvidado Dream Teather.
Super song! Incredible Chorus! And the incredible Mike Portnoy! There is nothing more to say! 👍🏻👏🏻👍🏻👏🏻👍🏻💪🏻
Great music. There is no end to this guys imagination.
very good!!!
Shades of Shadow Gallery. Love it.
These guys sound like they're gonna make it in the prog scene someday. Really good.
@Craig Welfare i think its a sarcasm or something
Nah, the drummer and the guitar player are somewhat good, but the rest is just... Nah....
They already did make it .
@@lisamoroney3036 @Craig Welfare lol I know :D. You should get your sarcasm sensors checked out ;).
@@lohankarachay476oh bs 🙄
Been playing drums 45 years. Maybe in another 45 I'll be close to being as good as Mr. Portnoy!
Classic NMB chorus, so uplifting!
You mean unmemorable and similar to many previous ones?
Very very POWER.. thanks Neal.. thanks God!!
I am totally inspired by this song and the rest of the album. Innocence & Danger is incredible. Thank you (Neal Morse, Bill Hubauer, Eric Gillette, Randy George, and the extravagant Mike Portnoy) for bringing it!! Blessings!
That’s beautiful
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Fantastic!!
Awesome return. This mix sounds epic and Mike Portnoy’s drums are sounding more ambient and alive. Great performances from all. This is magical.
What an incredible display of musicianship and top notch songwriting. Seriously, this is something that should sit up there with the best prog compositions of all times.
They're dancing on a volcano! ;-)
What a great song! Feels so fresh! The video is GREAT!! Christian Rios always delivering top notch quality 😎🔥
Agree but sometimes I think the use of a visual effect throughout an entire video can get tiresome.
@@eelecurb I think the effects are mostly there because they filmed separately.
This video is actually pretty good. Looks pretty seemless and the effects go well. I felt the last 3 videos he produced felt too busy/jumpy with too many overlays and graphics. Generally though, I think his videos are great-the Transatlantic ones especially.
The intro is Genesis' Dance on a Volcano 4.0 ....the rest of the song is ...wooooow!!!
I totally heard that too. Love Dance on a Volcano. One of my favorite Genesis songs. This song, also great!
Nice pretty tune you can all hum along to😁
How could you be this good, always...
Good for mental health on these hard days
Sehr schön. 👍
I’ve gotta fever, and the only prescription is more outro!
Awesome!!! Portnoy and the boys are magic! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
My favorite band is back at it again! Love it!
Some real music finally 😊 what a relief... specially now. I miss good prog
The first time I heard this song and this band was live last February. Blew. My. Mind. This is one of my favorite songs.
Brilliant !
I wish sometimes that it would be a requirement that if you downvote a video you have to explain why. I LOVE everything this band has done but for whatever reason this song really hits me hard in so many good ways. Right now my heart is broken but, like the song says, I’d do it all again. In the end love wins. Always. Thank you NMB for another utter brilliant and stunning masterpiece. Much like many NM/NMB songs before this one goes straight to my heart and soul.
My suspicion, based on some comments: Some people are not fans of overpresent graphics and maybe zooming in like a mosquito on each player. They prefer more forthright rotating closeups.
90% of the time, the downvoters are butthurt DT fans who still can't handle Mike's departure from the band 10 years later.
Fantastic...
The BEGINNING of this song sounds like GENESIS, the group. Surely on purpose: a due tribute.
This is one of the beat songs I've heard this year. NMB are keeping Hood level.
Next year the will play in Cologne, I will be there again. My heart also was broken but I did all things again. It happened in 1982...😉
Wow..another great music from my amazing band..love it!
Those guys never disappointed. Music they create it together is very impressive. 😍
So good!!!!!
neal the prog god
Tienen toda la melodía que Dream Theater perdieron por el camino hace mucho tiempo...Gracias a Daniel Lacalle por dar a conocer este discazo.
They done it again😱❤️ I can’t believe how much good music comes through the devine ideas of Neal and the guys🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 thank you guys for this song, it’s on repeat from now on
Thank you NMB for this powerful song! It has ministered to my heart and soul. ---Mark Vander Meer
Great song! See you all in Tilburg in a year's time!
I’m seeing them in December !
Eu acho que me tornei fã.... que letra incrível, que banda animal.... que Deus abençoe se trabalho Neal.... com certeza Ele faria tudo de novo! certainly! He would do it all over again!
Another album, another pile of epics. And extra guitar strings EVERYWHERE!!!!!
All kidding aside, this is an instant classic. Great to hear the rest of the gang contributing their vocals as well, esp. Bill and Eric.
AMAZING SONG! Everything is so clear and catchy! Amazing!
Wooooooow!!!!!! Amazing!!!!!
