For a rushed script you can never deny Kano and Ashley still did justice to the performance
They could’ve done so much more with the season

Absolutely, I personally think this scene saves it
Im kinda surprised it was as decent as it was, given it was written during the writers strikes i expected a really terrible third season but it was ok@@XiiHOTSTEPAFTW
I do feel it was rushed. Although I don't think it was garbage I do think we could've got a lot more.
“If we are not monsters, we are food”….this is so true in so many aspects of life, it’s unreal.
What does that mean?
Eat or be eaten simple as that. If you can't understand that then we are already know which you are, even if you don't yourself. Reality is such a bitch that some people can't face it
@@John-so2eo you don't make sense. What did you get for GCSE English?

Hope they win it at the Brit awards. Too bad the Emmy’s don’t recognise British drama like that which is weird considering maverick carter and drake are producers of this show which by connection are American

it was heartbreaking to watch, especially after sully said "dushane get up man"
Probably because sully didn’t actually want dushane to die
@@magnom3922 bro i know why you explaining it to me

It was sad and also horrible to watch bc right after the deep convo Sully went straight back to the money and said "uno I can't let u get away with them bags" both of them gave more shits about the money than they did their Brotherhood they of course cared about each other but I think the money and power just took over them for drug Lords they weren't very smart at all Dushane was quite clever in some situations but Sully was an absolute idiot way to reckless and Dushane ended up becoming a bit like Sully in the end aswell if Dushane didn't exsist then the police would have Sully inside for life before the second season of Summerhouse
@@Pablo-lv3ubsully was smarter than you're giving him credit. He killed ppl yeah, but he was never once a murder suspect. He showed compassion to people and thought things through. He forgave jaq's sister and really liked jason etc. He was willing to go a bit further than everyone but I thought his character was actually kinder than dushanes. Dushane only cared about himself.
love how they are not face to face to read each others emotion just two friends at the end the road life puts walls between friends good writers
So dope. Love UK shows.
I have a feeling if Sully wasn't killed he would be in prison I mean if neither of them died it was definetly prison but a death for both main characters closes the show perfectly
Bruh there’s no mocroanalyzing this mediocre show, entertaining, but pure mediocrity
@rspct9654 this guy thinks he’s a monster and not food maybe you’re mediocre.
I think the gate between them represents their divide in behaviour, how Dushanbe was the calculated and careful one but sully was always a hothead and did without thinking
One of the best scenes I’ve ever watched. It took sully having to shoot dushane to talk about all of the emotion bottled up between them.
The fact Sully wasn't even meant to kill him he just wanted to stop him from getting away with Sullys gear he didn't even realise what he did til Dushane stopped speaking n he checked over the gate it was sad seeing Dushane like that he's normally the powerful one but losing his money made him lose his power which made him lose his mind and from then on Dushane was done as soon as Lithe robbed him he was done lost everything including his own life Sully had a daughter but he knew he wasn't going to see her anytime soon
First time Sully ever showed real emotion 😢
@@jaybray-sz3wx u clearly only watched this season Sully has shown emotion plenty of times he's shown his happy moments his sad one's his traumatic ones Dushane just hit him the hardest because they have been best mates/brothers since they were little kids and they went through everything together it's just a shame they both lost their minds and only gave a shi about themselves in the end they got greedy and sloppy unfortunately they both had to go

The last quote Sully made. Why I started watching
“You just couldn’t handle that I was the big brother.” 😂😂😂
Why does that make you laugh
@@lukebarnes3157 because they really were brothers, but dealing with drugs.
He is right tho who saved him from getting killed by the Peckham guys
I loved this scene, especially after realizing that they really only ever talked about business. The only other time they didn't was when Sully visited Dushanes mom.. Awesome final words between the two
Bobby Raikes was right all those years ago when he told Dushane Sully would be his downfall. Dushane Hills fate was very similar to that of Marlo Stanfield from the Wire. And saddest part? He died in the worst way possible in the destruction of a community who's drug trade who ruled with an iron fist, and now just like all the people who stepped on to get to the top of the mountain, he dies a sad death, with no family, friends or money to his name. Immediate forgotten about. But this, this is what we call in the ghettos of NYC, the circle of the trap.
....you know, marlo got a state sanctioned pardon/get out of jail free card, a couple of million to keep him good and walked a free man. How did they have similar endings exactly?
They copied so much from the wire 😂
@@based-ys9um No they didn't. From New York to London, the names may change but the hood remains the same.

Mid season but we can’t deny that the actors did well
Yeah but it was just the writing that made it mid

Sounds like Kane and Ashley fought a lot this season with the procedures to try and get justice for the show. Things probably didn't go as they would've liked. Says a lot that Kano isn't doing any promo
*Best season
Honestly probably the best scene all season.
Ima miss this show. I loved this scene.
THE YOUR LYIN ALWAYS HAD ME DYING
Great acting from them both. They are so menacing it’s scary
This season was so rushed but they failed to capitalise on a lot of things from the previous season but you can’t deny the amazing work of the actors done in such a small amount of episodes. Gonna have to rewatch the entire series now.
Those who don’t understand the hood life think this ending was weak but forgot the number one thing people always say you either end up dead or in jail
@doves9204 I disagree my G it had to end this way, Dushane needed to lose everything he cared abouts the money and the power. He died in summerhouse the place he was born. If you notice Sully died in the park he walked his daughter that was the entertainment side of things. But it's true prison or death.
Hood life is only mad if you make it that way.
That's the mentality of losers, lots of criminals make their money and retire with a fortune.people just don't hear about them because they stay under the radar and never get caught.the only reason there's the hood mentality of get killed or end up in jail is because the only ones we hear about get killed or end up in jail

😂😂😂😂😂 Yeah I feel you on that one.
Kano as Sully was so much better of an actor then the writer for his character. But this scene is so fucking powerful & underrated. Its so metaphorical and deep. Two men both releasing its two late, they arent even desperate but just gutted at themselves that they have realised how naiive and selfish they were. Its so mad the way they open up showing vunerability that they never have.. even as brothers then ending weirdly as enemies. The Fence/gate is symbolic.
We’re only brothers when it suits you. That line hit me deep mfs be faking.
Just one of the best things I have watched in years. Powerful, raw, brilliantly acted.
The line that got me was Dushane saying ‘I do respect you fam’
Sounds like that’s what Sully wanted him to say the whole time.
What’s interesting is Sully only waited until Dushane was dead before climbing the fence, no help - powerful stuff
Them talking together through The fence was very symbolic, wasn't it?
Long live the brothers . ❤
Saddest scene ever seeing Dushane slowly lose his mind and go off the rails and Sully not even meaning to kill him Sully just wanted to stop him from getting away he didnt even realise he killed he killed him til he looked over the gate after telling Dushane to get up so sad man and Sullys death was just too brutal but both of them were pure evil and reckless it was coming to them

I watched this then I actually watched the show this is by far my favorite scene between Sully and Dushane other than when Dushane punched Sully. Every time they confronted each other or had an altercation they always realized how much they really loved and respected one another.

The worst final season of a good show of all time but the best last episode ever, crazy this scene is better than the final two seasons💪🏼😫
For some reason it’s funnier watching this after watching all of the memes of this scene on TikTok 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Every episode hands down a pure W dris is my favorite character
This was so heartbreaking 💔 sully didnt wanna kill dushane sully was in denial
The fact that Dushane would probably still be alive and in a better off circumstance if he didn't completely go off the rails and kill Jeffrey the way he did. He was dealing with a lot, sure, but for him to just snap out like that.... kinda felt like lazy writing there.
I feel like they didn't know how to end it so they sort of just went mad with it and thought "Dushane goes mad, Sully accepts his fate and the top boys are dead"
How many times has Dushane told Sully he respected him and Sully just wouldn't take it.
Cos dushane always seen himself as the leader and Sully as his 2, Sully wanted to be seen as an equal.
Kano's acting is excellent. The subtle facial expressions show he's conflicted about having shot his "brother" and how he sees his own identity and how he must behave to survive.
When I see sully running and point the gun I just see a scene of gta saying shoot Dushane or let him get away 😂😂
RIP Jamie the real Top Boy,sully been on my hit list since summerhouse when he robbed the kid that was just trying to make some money I was smiling when bro got hit in the car at the end
Dushane was this respected gangsta who people genuinely feared and he went out broke and whimpering like a hurt animal laying there like a dead raccoon on the road… some cold s*** ! Kind of like a metaphor for the streets, basically theyre animals trying to survive in the wild. Writers didn’t do a bad job at all in my opinion. That was a perfect way for dushane to go out
I feel like Dushane was never scared of anything but going broke he wasn't whimpering bc he was dying he was whimpering bc he was dying as a broke man and he ofc just accepted it as the conversation went on and Sully just accepted his fate already its sad how they ended Dushane and Sully but then again why would they get happy endings the 2 main characters of the show gone from S1 to S5 its been a mad journey and they recently got an award which is well deserved Kano and Asher D smashed it from start to finish
@@Pablo-lv3ub yeah I agree their performances were amazing. I never expected a happy ending for them either. I always say unlike other criminal shows like snowfall for example where you have some compassion for Franklin or breaking bads Walter white. Top boy never gave that feel. Dushane and sully were never good people and the last season kind of showed they didn’t care about anybody but themselves and for each other a little bit. They were cold and they were brutal. Mans dushane said F kieron while he was getting deported lmao you’d think he’d care about his community a little bit but not at all he really didn’t care about anything but money and power like his gf said. Him going out weak like that made the most sense. And sully going out quick with a shot to the head by who knows who made the most sense for him too. People complain the last season was too quick I don’t believe that, as soon as the end was near, it went downhill fairly fast. No need to drag it out, that’s not what the show was made for
@@TheBrandon3style yeah I enjoyed every season of top boy I don't really have a favourite there was never a dull moment I wasn't keen on the Sully killing Dushane thing but I suppose them 2 shooting at each other sort of proves what you said the cold blooded killers that they are not giving f who's in front of them definitely 2 of the best written characters of all time imo

No other scene or line from movies or television has ever affected me on every level like this scene did.
Personally, I’ve never chosen to behave like a monster, but I do know how violating it is to be treated like food. So, there’s a small part of me that knows or wants to believe this is the underlying reason 50% of monsters behave the way they do. Some just enjoy being monsters, I’m not naive. But, I’d like to believe that some are simply avoiding ever being treated like food themselves.
This is the saddest scene in the whole show because dushane is the main character 🥺
The saddest scene in the show is Jaq painfully coming into the realization that no matter how much Shane and Sully told her otherwise. Her sister's suicide can be traced back to her food hustle.
