Republic TV owner Arnab Goswami was arrested by the Maharashtra Police in a 2018 alleged abetment to suicide case. How this case, unlike the previous ones against him, is not a directly linked to his journalism. Why this is a State vs Centre, Shiv Sena-BJP fight, and whether Arnab is a victim or a perpetrator, a crusader or willing political pawn, would depend on your political view. Appreciate SG for giving his personal opinion at the same time defending Arnab's journalistic freedom. This motto of "I disagree with you, but I'll defend your right to disagree with me" is what is needed to protect individual and civil liberties.

Weren't these atrocities against journalists started by Congress with the act of emergency. I am not trying to defend anyone but it seems that the view is no longer unbiased but rather leaning towards anti-BJP
