5:38 you can also right click the last keyframe of the current heart animation and go to spatial interpolation -> hold to avoid cutting the clip with the razor tool. What this does is it tells the keyframe to retain its position until it encounters the next keyframe.
you can also take big milfs and encounter the next keyframe

HI, this was great. Do you have anything on how to do simple animations? I'd imagine you can move an image with keyframes similar as the effects write on, but just guessing as I just started out.
This effect really pushes any computer to the extreme!!! Use with cautions!!! It takes forever to render with 0.001 of brush spacing.

Thanks for the tutorial. You did not explain why you cut the clip after every stroke. Surely it make it much harder to make further adjustments to the video as a whole.

I want to animate a simple arrow, and my computer is not slow or anything. But this write on effect takes my computer so long to render. Over an hour for a simple arrow. Can anyone help me? :) much appreciated

Nope, no matter what I do a brush dot or that blue circle you mentioned in another similar video appears. Nothing at all appears on my picture so I can't even begin to draw anything. Then again I have some older version of Premiere, but there are zero tutorials for it.
can i do this in i-movie . or on an ipad ? i had an app called pocket video . i could draw on top of my mimed action . ie the scenery would appear as the action moved forward .

If you want to reveal the lines in that classic map path style then this effect works perfectly well. Another option is to find images on google or even animated overlays on CZcams

I can drag the dot but not draw with it. How do you make the dot make a line like that? I want to draw but it only lets me drag the dot.

@@johntzanis I figured it out. It only lets you drag if you are at another frame. It didn't work for us because we were at the same frame, how could we animate something on one frame? Make a keyframe like three frames into the future, and then drag.
Rendering the footage is killing me XD
when i am in premier it does not show the write-on in effect controls, just 3 other options
Make sure your video clip is selected on your timeline.
Wouldn`t it be easier to copy effects from one clip to another, instead of manually typing size, color, etc.?
It also copies the position and keyframes, so you'd have to just delete those afterwards.

How can you do this in a moving shot? So that the lettering will stay in one spot lets say
You can animate the position frame by frame in Premiere, but the BEST way to do this would be motion tracking in After Effects.
Once you've created your animation in premiere, you can stick it to something by doing this: czcams.com/video/VWUzB13KOsA/video.html

Yes. Or you could use spatial interpolation -> hold for the last keyframe for every shape/letter to avoid cutting the clip at all

Whenever I cut the clip for the second stroke, my writing disappears except for the dot where my last stroke ended. Do you know what I am doing wrong and how I can have the first stroke remain after I cut the clip for the second stroke? (EX: Using your video as an example, it is like the "I" disappears when, but leaves a pink dot at the bottom of the "I", when I cut the clip to start doing the first stroke of the heart.)

I've looking for a solution all night. As a general rule, whenever something bad happens, try an adjustment layer or nest the sequence. One has to work.

Just click on the blue circle and drag it to the next point.
