Mrs k yes exactly!!! I love the look of waves after braided hair!! This helps with any of those weird pieces too so everything blends together
I was thinking to myself that yes, we always put multiple regular braids in our hair (back in the 70s) and slept on it to awaken to hair that looks like that when you take the braids out, no heat necessary. I follow curly girl natural methods now, but was just curious what this 3 barrel iron was for. Doesn't seem worth the effort or the hair damage to me for such a subtle effect.

@@Cooperneu how big are the barrels please⁉️ because I want the largest for my daughter because in the 70s and 80s I had the crimpers and the barrel waver which were quite small barrels so I really want the LARGEST ☺️

I think your hair turned out great!! It's definitely not too 80s...I was young in the 80s and the crimpers made the hair a LOT more frizzy and huge, this looks really pretty!! I just got this iron in the mail today and I have to go try it 😁

Whats the difference between this and a regular beach waver
Great question! I also have the Sarah Potempa Beach Waver, which is just a curling wand that curls each strand of hair. The product in this video ONLY waves the hair. You can still achieve a wavy beachy look with a curling iron, but with any curling iron or curling wand, you are still just wrapping hair around a barrel. This product takes the hair BETWEEN 3 barrels, instead of wrapping around, so you achieve a different waved effect. I hope this makes sense!!

gosh I have no clue!! I think I'd recommend the larger size if you want softer looking waves or the smaller size if you want more of a crimped look

Can I ask why you didn't go all the way to the ends?
I have a lot of layers in my hair, so by going all the way to the ends gives it a very frayed look all over, instead of more of a beachy look! Helps to leave the last inch out when you have layers to give it a more relaxed look and help it blend in better

Its takes practice, I can use the curling wand but still figuring out how to use the waver
It did not work for me. Not sure why. The heat too high? Too wide sections. No idea.
U should of done it all and the tip layer seen a lot of girls do it and looks so pretty like 60s wave at the front
