Hearing this song again after both reading the book and seeing the movie, it really sounds like Lucy Gray taunting Snow in the decades that follow. Like the moment Katniss sang “”The Hanging Tree” this is what he was hearing.

I love how Anna's version feels much more hauntingly beautiful, a muse that is sad and tragic at the same time that is vengeful and beautiful. Olivia's version like what some petty ex whom the ex already got over them but they like to say they don't. Anna sings to Wuthering Heights, Olivia sings to After.
Fr Olivia’s version speaks of vengeance, Anna’s is like Lucy’s ghost singing about her end
For me Olivia’s version sound like liquid gold, bold, brash and full of fury, ready to burn and mark with vengeance, but still extremely beautiful. Anna’s version feels like the whispers of the wind in a cold winter night, where the air is freezing and the only warmth you feel is the condensed breath dancing on your lips, making your vision hazy, but you are way to numb to notice. In the beginning the snow falls gently from the skies above, sticking to your clothes like an embrace. But then the wind no longer whispers and it starts to roar, the snow is no longer falling like feathers from the sky and it’s burying you alive. Anna feels like the somber storm that comes to your town, neither vengeful nor malicious; it is just like nature, eerily beautiful, powerful and unstoppable. So while I find Anna’s version more thematically fitting, I respect the original and the people behind it as well. Olivia’s song truly struck a chord with me and I appreciate her greatly

As someone who really doesn't like Huger Games as a series I will always acknowledge I has some amazing music and this is an amazing cover of said music.

Try reading the books or listening to the audiobooks. What do you not like about the movies? I personally didn't like the movies at first because I'm a book are better person and the movies left some things out like the characters physical disabilities and other things.
@@elizabethliz146 I have read the book (or at least half of it). Its kind of hard to explain what I dislike about it but I think my main problem is that it takes 70 something years for people to rebel against government organised murder. Especially given their children are the victims.
@SkillsLoading I've always assumed that small rebellions did happen in the districts, but they were usually unorganized, lacked firepower, and were covered up by the to make the capital appear stronger and resistance futile. The capital has advanced technology such as force fields, genetically enginered monstrositys, planes, and drones , while in 12 a lot of people don't have even have power in their houses, can't communicate with anyone outside their district, and it's illegal to own guns and hunt. In the main series, it's implied that an unground rebellion has been going on a lot longer, but it wasn't until now that they had the resources, organization, and capital defectors, using Katniss as propaganda and symbol for the rebellion. Also, in the prequel, there are plains for a rebellion in 12 before it's prevented and shows how the capital dehumanizing the kids. North Korea has been an authoritarian state for 70s years, and people still buy from places that use literal child slaves like Nestlé, Hershey (check out the video the Nestlé video by 87 if you're interested). The Hunger Games is still YA at the end of the day, so if it's just not your taste, that's okay.

This was excellent. A song that really screams your personality as well as showing the spirit of your love for singing. The beat was amazing, the vocals were on point, and the atmosphere was just gorgeous. I love the almost deep tune and subtle guitar in the background and it really makes me feel like I’m dancing a very beautiful and elegant dance with a surprising hidden meaning. Plus I just generally love these kinds of songs since they always have this elegant allure and comforting feel to them, so its nice that your showing it some love…especially “Can’t Catch Me Now” from the latest Hunger Games film; I’ve loved this song for a while and I’ve been listening to it since and your cover is very beautiful. This is definitely a great addition to the franchise alongside “Hanging Tree”. This was beautiful as always Anna. Great job and I can’t wait to see what you cover next.💙
