Last august I arrived from the airport and took a walk to this fortress. First time that I went on an all alone journey as a young man. Anyway, I was baffled how large this fortress was as it really had this atmosphere of something ancient. While I had my 15kg backpack barely holding on my back I climbed this fortress and the view above was astonishing. I will never forget the little musea they had down below and the cool restaurant above where you could drink something to enjoy the view and the weather. I will definitely miss corfu.
It was 34 years ago I was last in Corfu, will be there next year. I can remember everywhere where I visited, but I can't remember the Old Fortress even though I have photos. Now I know where to go 😎
