Here's the written pattern: Sl. Knot and Ch 11 2nd ch from hook sl.st and make 5 more sl.st (You'll have 5 sts remaining) Ch5 Ch3 more that will be 1stdc R1- 2dc in 4th chain from hook, 1dc and dc3tog. In next st do a treble crochet , next 3 sts dc3tog, 1dc next st, 3dc in last st. R2- ch3 turn, 2dc in 1st st, 1dc next st, dc3tog in next 3 sts, Treble crochet in back post, dc3tog next 3 sts, 1dc, 3dc in last st. R3- ch3 turn 2dc in 1st st, 1dc,dc3tog, tc in front post, dc3tog, 1dc,3dc in last st R4 rpt same. If you want to change color, In last dc, yarn over insert, yarn over pull through, yarn over pull thru 2, leave 2 loops on your hook and grab your new colour and leave a bit of yarn tail to weave in later, grab yarn and pull thru 2 loops. Now we can cut the white yarn and work with new colour. R5- repeat till R8. R5-6 color1, R7-8 color2 R9- ch3 turn, 1dc in next 2sts,dc3tog, treble crochet in front post, dc3tog, 1dc ,2dc in last st R10- ch3 turn, 1dc next 2sts,dc2tog,treble crochet back post, dc2tog,1dc,2dc in last ch. R11- ch3 turn, skip 1st and 1dc in next st, dc2tog, treble crochet in front post, dc2tog, 1dc in last 2 sts. R12- ch3 turn, dc3tog, treble crochet,dc3tog R13 final round- ch3 turn, dc2tog but dont finish so yarn over insert pull through, yarn over pull thru 2, you'll have 2 loops on hook, now treble crochet so yarn over twice insert thru front post n complete treble crochet you'll have 3 loops on hook, dc2tog in last 2 sts. You'll have 5 loops on hook yarn over pull thru all 5. Ch1, cut yarn and weave in all yarn tails. Sorry for any mistakes/type error. Hope this helps!

Hello love the pattern but I noticed when you are doing the 12 th row after you turn you say to work 3 doubles however you actually only work two thought it was a little confusing
Hi Claudetta I was wondering if you can share the yarn you used because the link for the Paintbox yarns are no the same as what you used... yours has a sheen/pearl type look to it and the Paintbox ones are flat in color and I would like to find something a little more close to what you used. I don't know what's wrong with me. I can crochet this big intricate mandala but for days and various videos I cannot master a simple freakin' feather. Done with the frustration too. I'll be buying feathers from the craft store! 😂
I can hear Claudette extremely well and at nearly 69 yoa you would think I wouldn’t be able to hear anyone. Just put your volume up. I watch other crocheters from different countries and I just watch what is happening. We all got to do do what works for you but saying you can’t hear her is so naughty.

Row 12: you say dc3tog but only actually do dc2tog ... but on the other side of feather you do dc3tog ....... confusing
