It’s insane how little they’ve promoted the comeback of a legend. Then again, all these guys retire and come back two or three years later haha
It’s not even a comeback he’s only fighting because the company wouldn’t let him box on the Jake Paul undercard and he only has one fight left on his contract
It’s for CASH not for the spirit of the fight , as Aldo owed the UFC this fight , he was on the cusp of retirement , but they wanted this for CASH plus make right with the company on there name. Aldo needed this fight im just saying if Aldo wins it’s submission only

That's cause its not really a comeback, Aldo wants to boxe at the Paul x Tyson card but he needs to do this last fight of his UFC contract so that the contract ends, otherwise he'd be tied. That's why no one promoted it and why it's not a return either.

Still think Aldo has what it takes to become a double champ. He was on a HUGE winning streak before losing to Merab in controversial fashion. Despite his age, he has shown no signs of physical decline. He's a stylistic matchup for O'Malley. Most devastating leg kicks in history, impossible to takedown, and elite boxing. Top 5 of all time and the greatest Featherweight to ever do it. Appreciate him while he's here everyone. King of Rio forever 🇧🇷
In his prime, absolutely. In fact, I consider Aldo to be the #3 greatest fighter of all time. However, his time as a UFC champion is over. He only took this fight to finish his contract.

The whole UFC 301 card looks like a non Apex Fight Night, on paper looks weaker than the “evidence” that Saddam Husseim was hiding WMD. Might turn out to be a great night of fighting.

honestly Aldo has a very good chance here, martinez isnt a wrestle fuck type so aldo can win this if he turns it into a dog fight from the get go. If this is just technique for technique at sparring speeds aldo probably loses.
I love Aldo and all he’s done for the sport but, it’s time bro. It was time 3-4 fights ago. We admire your will and hard work but, it’s time to step away. Martinez is going to embarrass Aldo at home in his backyard with no remorse. If there’s one thing I wish would happen for a lot of the older UFC fighters is that, I wish they had someone in their corner to be real with them and tell them, that’s it…Aldo is not making another run, he has not changed his style. His boxing is good but when he stopped throwing leg kicks, it made him one dimensional and I’m sorry to see fighters like BJ Penn or Anderson Silva, chuck Liddell, Glover just get mauled past their prime.
