That is just stunning! Like you said, a little bit on the orange side.. But actually I think it contrasts with the cherry back really well...it's stunning in any case. That's a Master class on guitar making right there!

I have one ...it’s more amber brownish...like the 2009 version so I’m happy...some do appear more orange /yellow looks nice but not closer to the actually 1st reissue....I like the new pickups..I had the good epiphone version when it first came out ...with Seymour Duncan pickups the new pickups are strong ...bridge overwound very piercing ..in good way....The standards are 2500 save a bit more got the Slash model with a great 3 aaa finish...very zebra top.....all around great guitar...

I love the AFD, but there are several versions and runs out there with actual Seymour Duncans which are more accurate. I'd rather spent 3k on a newer colour like the vermillion burst.
Yer for the money if I wanted an AFD les Paul I would definitely try and find one of the 2010 run. You’d get one second hand for around the same price as one of these
mine is the same color and even darker but i think it makes it more cool than the yellow ones

Like most of les pauls something between 9-12 pounds (4.5-5kg) btw its writen on gibson page there is everything u want to know about this model and any other gibson.
We need these in Epiphone !
Just purchased one of these, in Appetite Burst. It's absolutely stunning. Heavy too - over 10lbs. I have 4 Les Pauls and this is the heaviest.
It also came with a bench photo, and strangely a press-style photo of Slash holding an Appetite Burst, with a hand-written scribble and numbered 22/25 - but I have no idea what this is!?? Anyone know?

So basically you pay 500 dollars for the what is basically a 60's standard in custum colour with "Slash" humbuckers made by Gibson (the original ones are Seymour Duncans)....even the case is similar to the 60's standard.

That's also my concern. I could just upgrade my old Les Paul studio with Seymour Duncan pickups and it probably would sound more like Slash than the Gibson LP Slash Standard. The maple top is really handsome, however. :-)
What is it with the ‘Les Paul Model’ decal placements on the new Gibson Les Paul’s - any lower and the decal will be under the truss rod cover!! Looks ridiculous and what you would expect to see on a Chinese LesPaul!!

Not sure what you are talking about but...I just compared the silkscreen placement to my own Gibson Les Paul and the placement of the silkscreen is pretty damn close. It could have just been the angle of the camera.
Check out the Traditional and Classic Les Paul’s .... they all have this ridiculous low Les Paul Model decal placement .......

Victor Mats budget cuts from the bankruptcy filing from 2019. For 2020 it looks like we lose those features and the cases are now made in China instead of the better TKL like they have been.

44 hundred in Canada so not worth that price it's a 50s spec standard with a slash color and slashbucker pups not worth the 1000 difference! 😅😂😂😂
