    If there is any justice in the world, this show will get a national tour or an off-Broadway production. So sad I missed it.

    Stark and Laura's chemistry is off the charts HOT... Is there a full video of this version?

    @99mkunkel I stand corrected. I saw Jeremy Jordan when I when to the Broadway preview. I didn't look too closely because I primarily went to this video for the music.

  • @RyanTheGameGeek

    @meangirl714 no. the guy who plays Clyde was in the preview for Newsies at the time of that, which was shown in Florida, so logic would rule that out.

    @RyanTheGameGeek The Clyde in the video is Stark Stands. He was in American Idiot. Jeremy Jordan was the Clyde in the Broadway production and was in Newsies at Papermill playhouse which is in New Jeresey

    I am so glad that they changed Laura's wig for the Broadway version. I don't like the bangs that she had here. It didnt look that good and they toned down the color of the hair. Here her hair seems to be a brighter red. I also like Jeremy singing this more than this guy. Jeremy has a stronger voice and it is more suited to harmonize with Laura.

      The real Bonnie Parker was a strawberry blonde, which is blonde with reddish highlights. She was a towheaded child.

      Lanibear the wig in this production is more accurate to Bonnie's hair irl though

    Why are nearly all the comments from fans desperately putting down Stark Sands to prop up their favourite? I find both men just fine, and a lot of the criticism seems just for the sake of it... So disappointing.

      @jessp.r.7181 Před 3 lety +1

      I don’t think they are “putting down” Stark, it’s just that his voice doesn’t really make it with this songs, that’s normal for every singer, there are songs that fits your voice more than others, I’m sure he’s a great singer and actor but this musical was just not for him

    • @anitak3985
      @anitak3985 Před 2 lety +2

      yeah, same energy as the Urie fans on Stark's Kinky Boots videos. Very odd they have to put down an artist to elevate another.

  • @kokoricharmed
    @kokoricharmed Před 12 lety +2

    I like Bonnie's costumes a LOT more in the LaJolla version, than the Broadway version. Actually, I like the character of Bonnie a lot more in the LaJolla version. Just sayin'.

  • @anitak3985
    @anitak3985 Před 2 lety +1

    People putting down Stark's singing ability here sound so similar to the Urie stans on Stark's Kinky Boots videos. Putting down an artist to make their favs look good is such a weird choice.

    • @hannahsneodream
      @hannahsneodream Před 8 lety +3

      +musicaltheatergeek79 +musicaltheatergeek79 I don't think his voice fits the music well. This is one of my very favorite musicals, so I'm very picky about who plays Clyde, whether it be professional, or community theatre. Maybe it's because I'm so used to hearing Jeremy Jordan sing it. Don't get me wrong, Stark is a fantastic singer and actor, and he was in my all time favorite musical, American Idiot, but I just don't like him as Clyde.

    Yikes. How did Stark ever get cast in this? Thank god for Jeremy Jordan to step in and match Osnes' presence. Stark looks like he's never been on stage before.

      @roryleech1119 Před 9 lety +5

      I agree with you entirely. He looks more like the actually Clyde, but oh my lord is he dreadful in this. Hard to believe it's the same guy from Kinky Boots and American Idiot

      +Michael A i have seen the production and the broadway run, stark wasnt my first choice for a clyde. he seems like a lost pupp, just doesnt seem like he was meant for the role. and when he sang the songs (the ones that made it to the broadway and sarasota production) it never fit his voice...thankfully jeremy took off when the show came to florida and then took the lead on broadway.
