I love the idea of democracy and even liberalism because it gives the sense that everyone especially the weakest and disadvantaged will have their needs heard and addressed. This was how I was taught growing up. It sounded very noble. The reality I have discovered as an adult is that the vast majority of people are idiots who will vote the society into destruction. Intelligent critical thinkers are actually a relatively very small part of the public Sad but true reality. I really dont know if there is a way to fix it

BS anyone who has lived in a house for 10 to 20 years and sells it or trys to pass it to their child will be hit with at least 30% on anything over the $250k lifetime limit. if you bought a bungalow for $ 240k and sold it for 400k you would pay 30% on $160k . THATS $48k THEY COLLECT FROM YOU EVEN IF IT'S A TRANSFER WITH NO MONEY CHANGING HANDS THEY WILL FACTOR THE ASSESSED VALUE FOR CAPITAL GAINS TAX. Imagine if you have moved several times and have little to no exemption left. The government takes $120K FROM YOUR POCKET😢😢😢😢😢

@@joycegielfeldt806 Ok let me put plain and simple for you.
Most investment rental homes and cottages on the books were bought back 10 years plus, meaning that the large rise in equity has been built up due to the real estate bubble we've been experiencing.
Therefore, all these middle class families will have more than $250,000 in equity built up and are now being exposed to an additional 16% capital gains tax when selling their asset.
Example investment type on current rental and cottage property earning of capital gains of $500,000.
You’ll pay $125,000 on the first $250,000 and an additional $146,250 on the remaining $250,000.
      Totaling an additional $146,250.

In case the Liberals don't know it yet, they are very much alike to the ccp. If my memory serves me right, today's Liberals aren't the same as those three decades ago.
As for the top 0.10% living a luxurious life, good for them, especially if they have worked hard and taken business risks for it. I don't harbor any envy.
Besides, leaders who often seek to pitch one group of citizens against another, be it by income, wealth, race, gender, religion, or lifestyle, aren't good people. They are totalitarian commies pretending to be virtuous and caring. Always bad people.
    Stay away from them.

Budget balances itself, interest rates are the lowest ever and we do not need to worry about borrowing money. etc. Are Canadians listening? Do they understand what this means??
History lesson, history repeats itself. When people say they did not take Hitler's comments seriously, it reminds me of Germans (Nazi or not), did not take what he said in his book seriously about his ideas about Jews, including right wing German Jews.
