Can you imagine how fit Henley must be to pound those drums perfectly and sing like that?
Damn right, he was killing it
Just saw them a few weeks ago and he sounds excellent still.
this is the first time i watch something live from them, i always love the vocals, never in my mind i would thought that he was playing the drums at the same time. MINDBLOWING
Agreed!!!!
If you are great at what you do, why not do it.
If you're in a rock n roll band and you're from the USA, then you know that Glenn Frey is forever our team Captain. Best American band. RIP Glenn, love you Eagles.
Felder is a beast.
Don is awesome!!!
I totally agree. Joe got more attention, but Don Felder is a master craft guitar player. He doesn't get near the credit for the work he did with the other members.
Felder and Walsh are the best guitar pairing in history I feel.
@@mikeh.753 Joe got more attention not cause of his playing, it was his charisma. He is a character. Felder is a nice guy, both are legends but I feel Walsh was liked more cause of his showmanship not musical ability.
@@dylancrichton2227 Amen brother. Saw them in 1978 and though they were cooked from the HC tour the interplay between them was amazing. Without Frey and Felder the current version is just a Eagles cover band.
After finally seeing them in person, all of their songs hit different now. R.I.P. Glenn Frey, and Randy Mesiner, you may be gone, but you guys have definitely not been forgotten.
I’ve seen them twice and what always amazes me, is that they sound even better live.
@@katiesimpson394 you are absolutely right, I grew with their concerts on DVD, but when I saw them in New Orleans I couldn't believe it, and it was amazing
Like my favourite of all times ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Never forgotten !!! .......... 😇💙😇💙😇
Love ❤❤
I’m happy every time Eagles publish a video. RIP Glenn Frey.
don‘t forget
R.i.P. Randall Herman „Randy“ Meisner
@@btsr2553 you’re right!
RIP Glenn
These were the first two live shows with a sober Joe. God bless Joe Walsh, that adorable soul.
So cool. Coming from a guy who has been there. I know even after sobriety, Frey described Joe as being in a dark place. It surely paid off. Saw them twice in 2018. Incredible and Deacon and Vince blew me away.
And a smokin guitar player
Joe just shared he’s 30 years sober❤
As a 14 yeras old guy I can say that Eagles are one of the greatest bands in the history of music. These songs can appassionate every generation of musician an non-musician
Agreed! Nowadays, who can play an instrument or more than one, let alone sing perfect pitch? Huh? Not rap pseudo-singers, that's forever sure.
Glad the youth are recognising and enjoying the never to be matched Legends of Rock 👊 check Ringo Stars "Up On Cripple Creek " on here ( The Band ) and then "The Weight "
Enjoy 😉
@@ktictac6726 thanks
all personalities aside, this was the absolutely best lineup of all time
IMHO The bass player can't even come close to Randy Meisner's vocals
@@blackjackmusic1107 whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat, Timmy sings beautifully...back them...
@@raynic1173 Timmy's ok with his own song, but he couldn't come close to Randy's vocals. That's why they have Vince singing Take it to the limit!
One of the greatest bands ever!
This song Fast Lane all originated from a Joe Walsh practice guitar riff. Who woulda thunk…
Actually doesn't surprise me in the least 😂
Felder and Joe Walsh together are superb. This is the best Eagles line up for me.
It would be great if they are given a chance to play together again. There seemed to be some competitiveness between them, but obviously enjoying the heck out of playing together. They are two sides of the same coin.
@@joanreynolds955 Hell would have to refreeze over again for Felder to be back in the band.
I agree completely!
Absolutely!
@@joanreynolds955 not gonna happen with only a handful of shows left to perform....
This is one of the songs that will never go out of style 😃. 2024 and I'm still listening to it. Songs like these should never be forgotten😢
My message to future generations: don't let this song die!!
Truly one of the most talented groups of all time!
No auto tune for this band!
💯💯
Exactly!!! They never needed auto tune. That's one reason I love The Eagles.
Most badass version of this song. Hell Freezes Over was the peak of The Eagles as a band.
The Millennium Concert from New Years Eve 1999 is even better. Check it out.
Both of you are wrong. Eagles hit their peak in the 70s and 80s. Their BEST lineup: Henley, Frey, Meisner, Felder & Walsh during the 70s and 80s. Nothing can close to this lineup in singing, harmonies and excellent guitar play. PERIOD.
@@rubyrae3797 undoubtedly an amazing lineup. I enjoyed all their era’s. But back in the 70’s they were piss heads and on drugs regularly. Nobody partied harder than them. Even they admitted to it, and they clearly matured. They were mid to late 40’s when they reunited. Clearly played and sung better when playing live at that age.
@@rubyrae3797 Well said! I listened to them for hours when I was in college, drank a few beers enjoying their music. Life was good in the 70's.
Yeah, man, we were there front and center. It was one badass show is right. Eagles one of the best bands of our time.
Don felder masterclass
Don't care that Glen decided that Don wouldn't be recognized as an Eagles band member...Don Felder you are an Eagle!
@@lanacavenaugh5642not to speak ill of Glen but he can eat ****. Felders guitar work added a new dimension to The Eagles.
Yes indeed, and I read his book Heaven and Hell, My Life In The Eagles 1974-2001, it’s really good to read!!!!
@@lanacavenaugh5642You’re right about that!!!
@@Phil-pq4ksTrue!!!!
Still listenin in 2024, still lovin every one of those guys❤
Saw them in Nashville in June of '77, incredible concert
Omg I love them! Never got to see them. One of my greatest regrets. Used to own all their CDs but the ex took them all! Why I’m still single 26 years later!
The band was awesome and Joe Walsh was a crazy good addition.
Legendary band.
The pure sound of Southern California.
❤❤❤❤
In all fairness, only TBS is actually from California.
Miss this lineup to this day!!! 😭😭😭
Ditto!
IMHO: There will never be another group like The Eagles! They had it all. RIP Glen and Randy. Had the opportunity to see this group three times, and those memories will stay with me forever! Love, Love, Love this group! God-given talent on display! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Seen the original lineup on their Hotel California tour 76'-77', and that's a memory even amnesia couldn't take away!
Goats!
that tour in 1994 was one of the fastest selling tours ever by any rock act. I couldn't get a ticket but did see them in 2003. phenomenal show. 🎶🎸🥁
Felder, is King! The GOAT in the Eagles!
The Best live era of eagles 1994 we need the live acoustic of hotel California from MTV 1994
This is great, but their best live versions were in the 70's and 80's. Just hear their live concert in 1977 in Maryland.
It’s on CZcams.
agreed!!!!!!! @@rubyrae3797
thanks again Eagles...appreciate these historical songs
Absolute Legends ..
Went to the Hell Freezes Over concert in 1994 at Tiger Stadium in Detroit. Took my daughter and her friend to witness this reunion of the Eagles.
Need to change the name of this band from Eagles to GOATs! Greatest of all Time.
Wish I could have afforded to go see my favorite band of all time live. Tickets are way out of my price range. Rock on Glenn!!
Don Henley is one of the top rock vocalists of all time, but he gets a lot of crap for his alleged mediocre drumming. But watching him keeping a perfectly steady beat on the skins while singing at such a high level is really impressive to this frustrated singer/drummer!
I never knew he was considered mediocre. I'd give anything to learn to play drums but I am too uncoordinated. I can HEAR rhythms perfectly, but getting my body to follow my ears/brain and DO them is another story. I sure could never sing while doing it. It took me forever to practice and be able to do a basic rhythm on a tambourine and sing at the same time. I am sure I looked like I was having some sort of seizure, LOL!
Don is like Ringo: He’s not flashy, but he never plays anything but the absolutely perfect thing for the song.
As a drummer of 20 years, people are trippin’ if they call Don a mediocre drummer.
@@Yesica1993 Never know unless you try. Don't ever sell yourself short!✌
I love the way Don plays. He gave the Eagles a unique, clean sound, with rhythms that didn't overshadow the music and lyrics. Most rock bands allow the drums to overwhelm their music, but Eagles songs are like novels and they must be thoughtfully considered instead of devoured. Don's style allowed the audience to hear the song.
@@ZenZone_Soundscapes Ha ha, thanks! I would still like to take lessons sometime. Stupid real life keeps getting in the way, LOL.
Who’s Listening to this in 2024?
MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Lots of people ❤
Un montón de gente.....!!!!!!
Well, we are here.
👋👋
Don felder is a masterpiece.
So good together
My favorite band. Just seen them live last Saturday in NOLA as my first ever concert and it was THE BEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN TO ME.
RIP Glenn
RIP Randy
THANK YOU FOR YOUR GREATNESS
The guitars sound awesome , everything sounds perfect .
Music acts like a magic key, to which the most tightly closed heart opens.💕
Please upload some live concerts in the 70s....
I'm sure they have the material somewhere in their archive but I doubt they will post any 'new' old recordings as they'll have to actively work to restore it, and remix and re edit the footage. What I can see happening though, is the release of more footage from the Hell Freezes Over stadium tour as we can see in the documentary, there is a substantial amount of already remastered footage of their concerts at Giants Stadium and in Ireland in 1994 and 1996.
Surely Irving will realise the demand for more live content, espically from the past, is higher than an another boxset re-releasing the same old content that we have had for years since 2007.
Don Felder is the best guitarist Eagles ever had but Henly and Glen didnt realize that🔥
We want more live performance videos with Don Felder in it 🔥
Don Felder 🔥🔥🔥
That’s why he was called Fingers Felder!
That’s what talent looks like they were one of the greatest bands to come out of the 70’s all talented musicians the best of the best there as good live as in the studio!!!
Saw them in Houston last month for the last time here ever , still great ! Crazy this was 30 yrs ago , wow
Timothy is excellent Randy was sublime. Choke on it Henley. DRB
Damn fine guitar!!! Oh what a great band Makes the shit days bearable
Awesome, would love to see more official videos from The Eagles
Joe Walsh deserves so much more credit than he gets.
So True !! 😤🦅
He’s a rock and roll hall of fame inductee who’s recognized as one of the best guitar players ever and is definitely more famous than Don Felder or Bernie Leadon. Hotel California is widely considered to be the best guitar solo ever and the album it came from is the third best selling of all time - what more recognition could he have?
You never see his name on top 10 lists. Go look, I’ll wait.
@@JaredWebbMusiclol good point!
He's THE MAN.
Always one of my favorite groups for years and years. I love watching Joe Walsh. I could see them play every day. ❤❤❤❤❤
Everything all the time 🎶🥁🎸
That riff deveoped from a Joe Walsh finger excercise
I have seen them 3 times and each time was better than the previous one! I can say that I have seen 3 different lineups. First was with Glenn, next was without Glenn but with Deacon, and the last was without Deacon. The last one I was in the second row right in front of Timothy, my favorite!😍 Absolute best concerts ever!
You had the best seat in the House !! 🥰😍😘
No freaking joke 🤣❤❤❤❤
Tightest band in the land
perfect to cruise with my 74 stingray:)
I'm listening to this in 2024
Amazing guitars Trio! Amazing Line Up! Amazing Band!
God Bless The Eagles!
Oh how I now wish I could have seen this iconic band at, what was I believe, their finest period, playing with all the confidence and professionalism that only time can produce. The soundtrack of my life, from the mid seventies, right up to this evening and onwards through the rest of my life. Thank you Eagles.
God Don is a perfect drummer
I knew I had raised my son right after he came home from school one day and and said he and his friend's were talking about the eagles and some kid asked who they were. He said said "you're kidding right? Freakin Hotel California!" My son said the teacher got a smile on his face and let the group on educate the kid
This is the American version of the Beatles and probably one of the few bands in the history of rock where all members could sing lead. Amazing guitar work
Rubbish. Eagles are far more superior in their music, be it druming and singing, harmonies, songwriting and the best of all their guitar play. Beatles were a good adult boy band. Period. No comparison to Eagles, Beegees, Deep Purple, LED Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Chicago
@@rubyrae3797
You COMPLETELY missed my point I was comparing popularity and musical influence not ability
Move over Beatles...The Eagles greatest band ever! ❤❤❤❤❤
I hope the Eagle's upload more from this concert.
Glenn.....😢❤
I was so lucky to see Eagles at this time in my home town of Las Vegas NV 1994 Hell Freezes Over tour. The best concert I've ever been to!🎼🎶🎸🇺🇸👍🏎️🦅💕
Vintage Eagles "Hell Freezes" with the original band members / the best eagles sound ever (RIP Randy , Glenn , Don) 😓
Neither one of the dons are dead lol
Fielder and Henley are both very much alive.
Henley was such an unimaginative drummer. Great singer, plodding drums.
There wouldn't be the eagle without Joe wash
Danger....Excess...😅
Hard life.
Super Eagles! 👏
This reminds me of being a kid sitting in the back of an 80s saab 900 turbo or a mk2 ford grandad 2.8i ghia x.
If it wasn't the Eagles it was Fleetwood Mac, Alexander Oneal, Luther Vandross, Ben E King.
Or don't disturb this groove by the system if anyone remembers that.
The good old days...
the best of all time .... ❤❤❤
Classic.
Que placer escuchar tan magnifica banda!!!.que espectaculares estos embajadores de la guitarra !!! Lo maximo!!!
God I miss Randy's voice.
Joe walsh reminds of mick taylor both the eagles and stones reached their zenith with these guys.
fact
Great Band!
I’ll take any Eagles diddy over any shit recorded in 2024!!!
Felder plays everything effortlessly.
Truly a masterpiece and a timeless piece of music
What most people miss about the Beatles is not that they were a great influence on future generations of musicians but that their chord structure and lyrics were extremely simplistic; not to mention that Paul was the only true vocalist.
Felder looks like he's stirring a smooth cup of coffee!! So chilled, he is!!
P.S. This track is perfect for hitting the open road! Actually calmed my nerves!
Una de las mejores BANDAS DEL PLANETA❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is the best song ever created!
Jesus christ what a tight group. Joe Walsh is on fire here.
OMGOODNESS! 😍😍😍😍😍
Who can play the guitar, drums, bass, and sing ? Where are they from? USA! 🇺🇸
Please post the performance of my favorite Henley song, "The Heart of the Matter", from this special. Thank you!
Don Felder is the best Eagles guitarist 🔥
Bloody Hell, How Good Was That !
Was just reminiscing (not even an hour ago) about seeing them on 7/13/94 in Detroit at Tiger Stadium and voila you posted this! 🔥🔥🔥
It was Glenn Frey’s hometown show and he was so happy he “got to play centrefield” at Tiger Stadium! What a memory! RIP Glenn🙏🏼💙
I went to the same concert in Detroit at Tiger Stadium. The warm summer night sky too. It was awesome. (bucket list event)
Joe Walsh wrote a Great Riff.❤❤❤❤❤❤ 🎸
Life in the fast lane 🎶 🙌🫶🤘😹😽🖤😎💅♟️
I was in the fast lane, back in the day. This whole song says it all
One of the best performances!!
Great music, amazing vocals and fantastic band ! ❤
Musical perfection
Some of the best guitar work I have ever seen from a band.
Doesn't come any better.....TUNE.... WOW
Unbelievable how these great artist get on stage doing what they love and enjoy playing their ROCK N ROLL for EVERYBODY TO RELISH IN!!!
