That's so wholesome ! ;)) He's from Bucharest, but happened to be in Cluj exactly as you filmed and exactly behind you :)) See, he too knows what's tasty ! I only had one week in Cluj this time but spent about 2 1/2 weeks in Transylvania and Bucharest a couple of years ago. I really love Romania and the food there!

I am gonna go over there , it is worth to try , first of all My plan is gonna be Bucharest, Baia Mare and Cluj Napoca
It's well worth traveling around Romania!
whoever comes to romaina has to try our soups, most famous ones are "ciorba de burta (stomac soup), ciorba radauteana, then sarmale (cabbage rolls). Some other traditional meat foods eaten often here are carnat (sausage), toba, chisca de porc. then also should try salata de beouf.
Bucătăria românească nu-i doar ciorba, sarmale și mămăligă, mai recomandați-le străinilor și alte mâncăruri care, în opinia mea, sunt mult mai bune, nu doar mâncarea "tradițională" turcească.

would you give us the local names of these dishes because i like to cook rumanian and that way i can look up the recipe. thank you. San Diego Ca.// i follow Dana, she is a youtubers and she is from rumaniaa, she and her husban live there but trabl throughout the wordd. her videos are in spanish. and she married a paisano from Mexico.
the first dish is sarmale with mamaliga and smantana, then the other one is mici with mustar

Oh yes, perfect. That's exactly why I love gastrotravelling, just visit Romania to eat french breakfast eggs, serbian cabbage rolls, turkish meat sticks, american steak and mexican tacos...
Here are some more great gastro travel tips for you!:
1. France: breakfast Italian ciabatta, lunch Austrian schnitzel, dinner Turkish kebab
2. Italy: Russian borscht for breakfast, Spanish paella for lunch, Chinese dumplings for dinner
3. England: breakfast German strudel, lunch Polish pierogi, dinner Czech klobasa
Or maybe just completely f**k off making videos like this if you can't even do basic research on the local cuisine :)
Those guys are from Czech Republic so their videos are in Czech but there are some actual Romanian dishes also with some origin stories how they were invented. You know. Like educational vlogs about local cuisine should be? :)
