Skyrim:
You are missing over 9000 mods. Do you wish to continue loading?
There is only one way to play skyrim: mod it until the frame rate becomes unbearable or the game crashes, whichever happens first.
Or when a single mods is outdated and ruins the entire mod trees leaving you with dis-formed bald female and freaky inhabitants
ThePppp89 oh my, those XCOM 2 saves will never load now >_
I loaded an old Fallout 4 save with outdated mods and all of the buildings in Goodneighbor are missing their walls now.
I can't figure out how to fix it :C
This is the first thing I thought of when I saw the title.
When you load an old save, (that you stopped playing because of rage quit) and then you pass it on the first play... Like: "WTF? It was easier than i remember!!"
Yeah exactly haha. That happened to me a few times as well. Like: ok seriously why didn't I pass this the last time? I even knew half of the controls this time -.-... *shoots old self*.
Guess it means you're getting genuinly better at things in general though: progress!!
But then, you keep playing until you notice you f***ed up because you were trying to achieve a specific thing while doing it and you can't go back, boohoo
A friend of mine played Metal Gear solid 4 and could not get past a boss battle then he gave me the controls. Never played the game and just button mashed my way to victory on my first try.
The exact point they showed in bayonetta is where I rage quit, but then I went back and beat it with very little damage sustained... and that was before relearning the combos...
When in doubt, back to basics huh?
How about the classic Animal Crossing problem? You come back to your save file a year later to find all your best friends moved out, your beautiful town is overrun with weeds, there are rotten radishes in your inventory, and SOMEONE MOVED THEIR HOUSE RIGHT ONTO YOUR MANICURED FLOWER GARDEN.
Put flower gardens on the beach, where houses can't spawn.
That reminds me of when I’d get items or letters to deliver to someone who’s MOVED AWAY! Lol!
Oh god I haven't played since last Christmas...
Yeah I know this comment is a year old...
I think I need to play Animal Crossing o.o
Witchy Witch Man don’t forget literally all your nabors screaming at you for not talking to them in 12 months
yes. that is why I like games where you can name your save files. because gosh thats more useful than a string of date and numbers
and yet asd is my common save name
I like how IIRC "Mass Effect 2" did saves that were segmented by which character you're using. Bethesda needs to get on board with that.
Yea naming saves is immensely usefull. ...Even though I usually just name them save001 etc haha, but adding some extra details when needed is fantastic. Good point.
@@LittleNemoGaming the special edition of skyrim sort of did that, but it doesnt help quite as much as one would think
@@LittleNemoGaming when your a Horder
you check the date and name and keep it the same and before playing
you take a picture of the date and location in the achievements
Unus Annus
you can still see the date you last play a game by going to the achievement list and clicking on information
I once saved at the worst possible time in Skyrim...About 2 seconds before being decapitated by a draugr deathlord. This was right after de-cluttering my save menu so I had deleted all but my most recent save. I reloaded again and again and everytime I was killed before I could move. By some divine mercy I finally managed to hit pause and chug six health potions before running like hell. I thought I'd be stuck in that endless cycle forever.
This was me the first time i played fallout new vegas and only had the autosave
F
Similar thing happened to me a few years ago when I had a vampire character in oblivion that had very low health and had just left a cave at midday
I'm sure you can predict what happened after that
Bethesda games are pretty easy to get around that though because of the console.
That’s happened to me
loaded up Skyrim for the first time in 6+ months. forgot that I killed everyone in Whiterun.
You get in the town like "Hey everyone" *dead silence* "Oh yeah, the murders."
lel me too
ofc that was on consel now that im on pc i have another chance
Pretty sure that's Jane's experience.
In games... *cough*
Went back to one of my old saves from fallout 4. Jumped back to a level 30 at the BOS ending. I came from a level 105 max special with essentially every unique weapon/armor piece. Died repeatedly because i though that i was still overpowered.
except thats impossible in whiterun because like 4 of the characters cant be killed
A great story of how I questioned my younger self's life choices was fable for the original Xbox. I hadn't played it in YEARS and was feeling nostalgic so i decided to load up my old fable save since i hadn't had gotten too far in the particular file yet. Well, when it was all loaded up, I found I had to just restart the game because apparently in my save I had sold all of my belongings (including clothes) for booze. Yes, my character only had his pants, the stick weapon you get as a child that you can't get rid of, and 99 bottles of beer. Oh, and I was completely broke....
Stan Pickels well at least you can drink your Problems away
Lol
Hey that's what I did irl
loading a Bethesda game and realizing YOU'VE KILLED EVERYONE
KaZ 0811 you mean that isn't normal?
Or Bioware lol. Or Fable lol
Well, there's always Yes Man.
Story of my life...
Or starting up a Starwars game thinking that this was the one were you were a jedi of the light; but it turns out you're a dark jedi and everyone wants to kill you. AND I MEAN EVERYONE! (But I hear you on Bethesda Games; on that subject; Skyrim is one of the worst for me..... You never know whether you've gone full on crazy killer mode, or it's your more peaceful...ish game saves...... ahem... heh..... Probably revealed something about myself there; so I think I'll go play assassin's creed now....)
Opening an old Skyrim save and sees a 130000 bounty...
OOUUUUCCCHHHH!!!!!!
and you're in the middle of whiterun. drink invisibility and pray.
Holy shit!!!! O.O you must've been a bad ............. bad ............. umm person?
KittySuger Bell99 bad good sent these a lil wishywashy terms on a game lol
No problem you are clearly beyond redemption at this point just keep murdering all the guards.
*Loads end-game save that I haven't touched in three years*
*Stares at screen for ten seconds*
*Exits to desktop*
Hg201 every. Single. Time.
Hg201 game freezes and crashes because you have to many mods downloaded lol
Honestly if I forget the abilities, items, or plot........ Gotta throw the whole save away. I gotta do what to beat who?
A dragonblade after my own heart XD
I simply adore Ellen's obsession with kingdoms of amalur
One of the most underrated games of all time. and the rights just got bought by THQ allowing the possibility of a renewal
I think we all just adore Ellen in general. So dark and funny. If you haven't seen it you should watch the D&D stuff they do
The remaster is coming out soon.
I've already pre-ordered it.
I only got to play the initial release for a few hours but I loved it.
8 things that always happen when you *watch a video you didn't know was from a new 2nd channel*
lol
Randyhall85 CRAP. I thought this was my main Chanel for them
Randyhall85 1) wonder wether Jane got plastic surgery and a new voice
Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame
A buddy of mine tried for months to beat Sephiroth in the original Kingdom Hearts and eventually rage quit.. It was the only thing keeping him from 100% completion. He picked the game up a few years later and still had his save for the fight.. He booted it up and entered the arena and beat Sephiroth in one try. That game tormented him for months and now he gets angry at his 13 year old self for giving up.
I revisited Kingdom Heats a while ago and one of the first things I noticed is how much easier it is when you are actually thinking about what you're doing instead of just mashing X constantly. That said, I never got around to Sephiroth because something else always caught my attention before I got far enough.
there are so many games that I struggled with as a child, and now as an adult I realize it was because I never fully understood the game mechanics (and probably didn't read the manual or do the tutorial).
To be fair, he was 13 years old. Everything probably made him angry.
It uh. Took me a day or two to beat him. It wasn't that bad. Same thing goes for him in KH2.
Nathan Bell I just beat Skyscraper escape after a year... I know what it’s like
"Maps? Who needs maps?! I know this road like the back of my hand!"
-checks hand
"Wtf is that?!!!"
The worst part is its often a combination of these factors that overwhelm you. Its the button mapping combined with the forgotten skills combined with not remembering the right timing to USE those skills. Skills which you built up through hours of playing the earlier, easier missions. So now you are a novice again running mastery level fights, with abilities you dont remember, for a quest you dont remember, to accomplish something but you have no idea what. Thank god for games like World of Warcraft. I can come back after a 1 year hiatus and get right back into things pretty fast.
That's one of the reasons I left WoW for good. I came back after year or two of absence and nothing's changed.
In my case, it’s some minutes trying to remember the controls and the plot and like I never left playing.
All of that, all of it, on a save you ragequit from. Oh, this boss kicked your ass 47 times in 2013? You don't remember how to use any of your special skills, so you're stuck there just jumping around using your most basic attack. Bonus points if boss is sentient and can mock you. There are times where present you has more skills and does better, but if not, start over or abandon ship.
here's me every time i load up an old save that i haven't played in a bit...
"where the fuck am i? what the fuck was i doing? oh, enemy, set his ass on fire."
also, yay the KoA:R stuffs
They covered that one, if you had to waited commenting until the END of the vid...
C0pper B0ltwire He was referencing the video dumbass...
True!!!😂
When you load up a old fable save and it out of date and that's why I never played it again
This is why I actually keep a notebook with little notes about my game in different save files. It may seem silly but, man, does it help when I go back to a game file after a few months.
I'm never going back to playing Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 simply because the game required out-of-game notes to play it properly and I lost those.
I do that for a lot of games, especially Fire Emblem. Once, my friend saw all my notes piled with the corresponding games, looked over at me and said, "I can tell someone's a '90s gamer!"
I like this idea..they need t evolve save files for a custom description.
My guy. That's hella smart. Even better when you make notes on a device outside of the game in case said game doesn't have notes
@asdfj asdfjk I'm aware, you don't have to be an ass
Lmao, "Where the hell is Markarth?!"
"Are you Markarth?"
The question everyone asks when they innocently start the drinking contest quest. "Where the hell am I? Markarth? The f***'s a Markarth?"
At the far west of skyrim........right?
I can never find it either
Rafael Diamond I thought it was north left lol
I have another one,
Having talked to an NPC, who gives you a big story about losing something somewhere, and you don't find it immediately. Skip forwards a few months and you remember you are searching for something somewhere, so you hop back to that NPC only for them to give you a "I really hope you can find it, thanks" instead of the long and detailed story or even the place where he lost said item!
I don't know why game developers don't let people name each save file. Been saying this for fucking YEARS.
They haven't done it *yet*. When they finally do (and they will) it'll become default for every game. People will celebrate in the streets and devs will be kicking themselves in the ass asking why they didn't do this before.
Listen to Shia! *DO IT!*
...They do let you name save files.
Unless you were being sarcastic.
I think he means for consoles. I know it's been standard for PC for ages now. Definitely not the standard for console though.
Zentz29 You can on the majority of PC games
I'm pretty sure there have been some games (and by "some," I mean two or three) that did let you name your save files on consoles. This, however, was back on like Playstation 2.
It does make you wonder though: why? Modern games, where you can personally select every little aspect of your character's life, including their family history, but Hell upon the world if you can name a fucking save file.
dude, look up sierra games
What's worse is when you mix games.
"What? Why dosen't VATS work?! And where's me bloody grenades? What? I'm in Skyrim? Well shit."
All the time!
for real
I did something along those lines..... I played borderlands almost exclusively for several months until i beat it.... You don't get hurt when you jump in those games.... Played left 4 dead with some friends..... Jumped off the second floor in a warehouse.... Incapacitated myself.... And then died..... Sob....
BlackLightParadox so true!!
BlackLightParadox i tried to press the middle mouse in cod ww2, i died because of the grenade. I forgot i played mw3 yesterday. I haven't bplsyed ww2 in 2 weeks.
I know this place like the back of my hand.... Wtf is that?! Lmao you guys earned that like.
Luke’s ‘Eviscerate’ gets me every time 😂
Anyone else really confused when they opened up this video from a recommendation and found an entire new channel?!
Aww seeing and hearing Fable 2 makes me sad, how on Earth did they manage to ruin the Fable franchise?
I feel you dude :(
Joey Deguelle cmon, it had the toughest final boss ever..... 😐
Joey Deguelle yeah it deserves the name fable not any more :(
I think the answer to your question is Peter Molyneux
Inter fectorem TRUE STATEMENT!!!
I literally lost it and burst out in laughter when the bat mobile was upside down and the words " WHAT ARE YOU?! " were shouted. I was trying to keep my laughter inside myself - which failed - and had a giggle-fit so loud, my parents thought I was crying!
When asked what was wrong, I then proceeded to say " CZcams. " to which they appropriately thought I was off my meds as well as simultaneously giving a huff and shrug of apathy. Thank you for that truly great moment! :) !
MiKaylee Petty lol yeah i laughed at that part also lol
MiKaylee Petty this will go down in history 😂😂😂
For me it was "I have no memory of this place..."
Love coming back to see how many fun videos you left for us all of these years. Thanks guys. 💛
in skyrim my char names used to be actual names, but now they're justa brief description of what sort of character it is, like 'lvl80illusionpure' or so... it helps a lot, until the dark brotherhood wants you dead and you realize your name is bad and you should feel bad
I also have over 300 'saved saves' that I transferred to a different folder, and never went back to them
I had over 500 saves, put them into a usb which I then lost 3 weeks later.
aww that's sad... even if you'd never play them again, you still feel like you lost something
I put them on a backup hard drive, along with everything else on my computer
I end up naming myself things like "Ak'l Dama"
I just keep one save file for each character I make and delete my old ones FOR THIS EXACT REASON.
Jane has a rival for "resident psychopath", it seems.
no one can rival Jane sadly
Roonco SP idk, man. I think thus far no one can beat Jane... killing... Dogmeat in fallout 4. If that wasn't the most evil thing ever, idk what is. :/
ellen looks like ellen page...just me
Roonco SP careful. Jane might hear. And then vengeance will be hers
It's the tininess.
Shout out to saving your dog instead of all of Albion-did the same thing in 2 👍🐕
"What was I doing? and where am I going?" -Pretty much every time.
YES
I LOVE THIS
I LOVE YOU. ALREADY.
I HAVE EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT ISSUES.
LOVE ME BACK, PLEASE.
+Frost
Oh my God!
Lol
OH MY GOD THEY REPLIED
This is to cool!
Theres only one thing i do when i start up an old save...4get everything and restart
:-)
that's usually my answer too x.x
sometimes i remember where i was. usually, it's a complete brain wipe, so it's new game time.
Deus69xxx1 tried to start a me3 game after taking a break and couldnt remember which save did what out of like 30 char that had finished me2. and if i found out i was like now....what did they do in me1....
Shadownian yep
Shadownian some games lasted me ages with this tecnique, i probably got to at least lv 14 on fallout 3 at least 3 times with the same skillbuild(i'm a simple man, i choose witch skills i like and hang to them)
Roberto De Gasperi Im the same with dragon age inquisition. I played origins and DA2 multiple times right away after they came out. Inquisition i have restarted about 40 plus times and still havent finished....ugh
“Maps? Puhhh! I know this road like the back of my hand. The f*** is that?!”
“WHAT?! *Gandalf voice* I have no memory of this place.”
Haha this part is one of Luke’s best moments since he started Outside Xtra with Ellen.
Just tried to load up my Destiny save on Xbox 360 that I haven't played in roughly 2 years.. over a week of updates.
Here's a good one: Load up an old save to just stuck in an infinite death loop. Every time you load it up, you end up dying later not matter what you do and so you're stuck dying over and onver again.
Soren64 If you're on pc, just make yourself temporarily invincible in the console and you'll get out of the situation.
unless it autosaved right before you die of fall damage... dont ask how that happened.
That happened to my dad's save file in King's Quest V: He saved the game just before some bandits came out of the bushes and killed him. Save early, save often.
the first red faction my only save was mid fall in the big pit cause i panic saved forgetting it spawns you exactly where you where
Soren64 It's one thing if it's accidental, completely different story if you purposely put every save on your brothers console in that predicament because revenge.
Definitely forgot this one:
"Start A New File"
I find myself doing this 9 times out of 10 when I load an old save, and have absolutely no clue what I was last doing.
Every time. Eeeeeevvvvveeerrrrrryyyyy time... Sigh
I do the same thing mostly to get reused to the controls, then I go back to the old save. :D
Me while playing oblivion
If it's a story-based/RPG game and I haven't played in a while or have been playing other games in the mean time, I usually just delete my saves and make a new game because there is no way in hell that I will remember what I was doing or was going to do.
Noah Titus Im far to stubborn to do that because I'm sitting there like : Bish I've wasted 8294929 hours on you, I won't make a new game bc all the time ,I can't remember where and what happened I wasted , are in this save and I don't want to do this stupid quest X again!
:D and after a few hours of trying to figure out what is going on I quit and leave it to rot for the next year.
The only one I can really relate to is the button mapping. Usually when I go back to an old save from a difficult level it seems to be easier because I'm not coming into it stressed like before
I remember quitting KHII halfway through the game, because after 50 tries I couldn't defeat that "Dance, water, dance!" prick. Upon my return to the game half a year later, I beat him on my first try.
Of course.
There's been a few games were I had troubles like that. I recall a spot in a game where I always used to get stuck when I was young, but as an adult I can do it perfectly every time.
***** Of course, I also have the inverse; on my second playthrough, I found bosses that I had no trouble with as a kid wiping the floor with me as a teenager...
BOT Snev I know the feeling. He was a hard boss fight! I was fairly new to action games when I got that on ps2 and it took me forever to beat him.
It took me about 5 goes I think, compared to every other boss that I beat on first or second try.
I had gone through the whole game without dying..and then that prick showed up >.
That last one is basically me with Bethesda RPGs. I think back on them, and I think to myself: Why did I stop playing this save, again?" Then, I go back to play, and realize my game is hopelessly broken due to my insatiable appetite for changing every little thing with mods.
Yup every time then you decide to try a remove 1 or 2 and spend 4 hours agonising over which fir cloak mod you like more.
Дэвид or when you're level 60 trying to fight fucking master vampires by your self without super awesome custom forged weapons
Yeah, awhile ago my friend wanted to show mr the Nuka World DLC for Fallout 4, but the character he was using was based around using pistols. This wouldn't be nearly as large of a problem as it was, if he hadn't uninstalled all of his pistol mods that he was using at the time.
I hate to break it to you, but Bethesda games are already hopelessly broken without the help of you mods ;)
Mods don't make it any better... Unless said mod was made specifically to fix it.
The worst thing about loading an old save where remember why you had rage-quit, is that at that time you had been playing the game a lot and were really good at it, then you might reload and be totally rusty after weeks or months of not playing, and then you'll NEVER get past that part. This is one of the rather silly reasons that replayability is so important, so you can just start over and still enjoy the journey back to that point.
"In the beginning there were no save systems, and then video games said let there be save systems, and we saw that it was good" Ahmen sister, preach!
6 is the sole reason I fail to finish so many games. I play something too much, get burned out on it so I take a break, only to come back later and forget what was going on. Then I decide there's no point playing that save if I don't know the story. THEN I'll start a new save and repeat everything. I never play long enough to do the whole story before I get bored, or I'll play enough but I'll get distracted with side stuff until I again, get bored. Which always leads to taking breaks, leading to forgetting the plot.
TXF lol same here bro. what's bad is that I have a gigantic huge massive backlog of games to play.
TXF *chuckles* true
Tobi Harrison Same. Fallout 3, FO NV, FO4, Skyrim, Oblivion, some Assassin's Creed games, Dead Island, GTA4 + expansions, Shadow of Mordor. I only just recently finished Watch Dogs to get ready for the sequel.
Finally, someone who relates!
Same here. ^^ After a long time, I continued playing Skyrim and I had no Idea, what I was doing there. I only knew, I started to build a house, but didn't know, whether I like the Stormcloaks or the Imperials. ^^ Or where I am Thane, or why I didn't finish some Sidequests. I found out, I have a child. And what is the first thing, she says, when I come home after several months? "I want a present!!!!" Pfff....
"You try to do something from the later game."
Trying to spindash in sonic 1 anyone?
The pain...
Oh god.
Zyad48 the horror it still effect me when I play it
So much this.
I mean in watch dogs
When you try to sprint in Bungie's Halo after playing 343's Halo....
Sprinting is overrated.
Watching this now is like loading up an old save and seeing how different all the hosts look.
Every now and then, I go through this cycle...
1. "Why did I ever stop playing Fallout: New Vegas? I should play it again."
2. Load the game.
3. Realize that I've optimized my character to be too powerful, and that raising the difficulty won't solve anything, since that will just turn the enemies into bullet sponges.
4. Realize I've been to most parts of the map, so I can just fast-travel anywhere and do any quest within a minute.
5. Remember that I've had most of the plot spoiled to me already, since the game has been out for so long.
6. Grow tired, because I've made things too easy for myself.
7. Stop playing.
8. Time passes.
9. Repeat from point 1.
lol Exactly me.
Huitzilopochtli Prototype 2 for me.
It's the same for me up to 5 point and then it goes like that.
6. Enter the nexus
7. Mod the game till it breaks
8. Rage quit becouse you get ctds every couple of minutes
9. Repeat
I'm a PC gamer if somebody didn't notice :D
I see no issue here.
For me its like load my hardcore difficulty save realize i have feud with every other faction in the game and i am too deep in the game too early because of investing a lot in speech perks. Get killed whenever i see a rebel faction.
A true gamer memorizes all the button layouts
Farmer Dingus but some doesn't have a strong memory, master.
Yeah. If you ever watch lets plays, you'll see there are quite a few people who have a hard time remembering to do something they said they would only a minute ago.
I agree Xbox to PlayStation layout crap is bs
You think Xbox to Playstation is bullshit? Try Nintendo to Xbox. Literally the same buttons, but in different places. Just create an industry standard, for fuck's sake. Please.
a true gamer plays on pc using mouse and kb where all games use the same controlls and you can fully customize everything :P
I was playing through some of the classic DOOM maps inbuilt into DOOM 2016 after playing the original DOOM. I tried to open doors with the space bar, despite it being bound to jump.
And yes, I'm a PC player.
Let be known that Kingdoms of Amalur has been with this channel from almost the very start
I'm pretty damn sure there are others out there who load up am old save just to go on a murderous rampage...
My ears are burning.
What game u do dis in?
Stop calling me out
Lancer of Blue I always do that in Skyrim:)
~ kill all
When you go back to a COD before AW and forget there's no advanced movement
Yeah its a great feeling
oh damn
Nicholas Pine ikr
What's actually worse than forgetting about advanced movement is forgetting that you don't shoot the grenades out of your arm, but actually throw them
When you go back to COD 2 and realize you cant throw back grenades.
Oh look, its Jarl Balgrif. He be ballin
And this is why it’s very nice when your game has a journal that automatically fills as you go through the story so you don’t reload a save a year later and say “wtf was happening again?”
I once got so fed up with Bathesda's mapping I switched A to jump, Y to do weapon stuff, and X to interact. I went back in feeling happy and immediately pressed Y to jump, falling to my feath.
Also, if you have trouble with names, nickname. I once restarted Fallout New Vegas and the only reason I remembered my favorite follower's name (Arcade Gannon) was because I nicknamed him Ganondorf.
I know it was a typo, but I'm using feath instead of death from now on.
"I'm sorry kids, but your grandma fied today. It's sad, I know, but please don't let this teach you to be afraid of feath. Feath is a natural part of life..."
I feel your pain, I did the sane thing man hahaha
im happy i have a keyboard no one ever changes shit there.
Bethesda mapping for K+M is terrible. I always change that. Ctrl to sprint? Wtf Bethesda?
When you ae playing a Strategic RPG game, say like Disgaea or Final Fantasy Tactics, and you return to your save years later and check your team.
"What build was this character supposed to be again?"
In Final Fantasy tactics every one of my team was a calculator combined with knight, ninja, or samurai. Game was cake when you did that.
Oh, God, why is Laharl using a spear? Spears are garbage! Why was past me such an idiot?!
Wow... Ellen can be really scary sometimes. That pent up rage barely contained was terrifying...
I should rewatch old videos more often. You lot have been amazing for years now.
Ellen : "I'll make your face interact with a rock, in a minute"
WHAT A G
Excuse me. Where the fuck is Jane??
Claudia Roberts this is the other channel. Not the original.
Aquarium 7512 yeah. They are still doing this channel. As they put it it is to cover more stuff.
i just noticed this is not outside xbox how the fuck i got here
McFlufferTits same
Wrong channel.
So it seems you guys like Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning as well. Very underrated game, IMO.
Agreed. Fine game. Too bad it didn't work out.
Hell, it may actually have the most in common with Elder Scrolls without being ES.
It's a shame so such money was thrown into it, causing the studio to go bankrupt, shattering any chances at an improved, or second title.
turnto10.com/news/local/curt-schilling-doesnt-apologize-for-failed-38-studios-deal
I loved KoA as well. As for bringing it back though... well, only if they didn't bring back the previous studio head.
I've started playing it a couple of times but I haven't been able to bring myself to finish it. In theory, there's nothing about it I don't like, but when I play it I just spend most of the time thinking meh.
Look, I know this is a really old video but I have to say, you guys clearly loved doing this one. The enthusiasm is through the roof! Great job! Love your channel.
Luke: Are you Markarth?
No, this is Patrick!
I can't do this. I can't watch this without Jane, Andy or Mike
SuRaKaSoErX Gaming
I thought my hearing was off at first when I started listening. Had to visually check who was talking -_-
CGCGCG91 it's not the same, I'll stick to Outsidexbox
I been off for a while (slow wifi) who is the new one? Oo
This is another channel expanding on Outsidexbox. Ellen and Luke are the hosts. More info is in the video description.
Crystal Williams-Brown oh, didnt Even notice i was on another channel
THEY SHOWED RECKONING IT DOES EXSIST AND NOT JUST IN MY MIND
Yes. Yes it does, and I was just as glad to see it as you were. (I also liked the glimpse of Bayonetta, too...)
jack and daz are best Kingdoms of Amular FTW!!
I was just about to come down and comment on this too. Holy crap people remember it!
Why is there not a sequel to it or a prequel!?!??!?!?!!!!??
jack and daz are best I heard that it's because the amount of money sunk into it compared to how well it sold is what put it in the ditch. Too bad :( Good game.
Going back to Fable 2 after Fable 3 and thinking "Oh the people love it when you do magic!" Just watch them flee in terror
I get mixed up on ladders between Dark Souls 3 and returning to Dark Souls 1. To slide down quickly is hold B in one, and tap B in the other, and I mix it up every time.
That new guy... Mick... is doing well isn't he! Good for him.
You need to bring a vast arsenal of weapons made of cake
LOL!!
GLADoS approves!
**Minecraft music starts in the background**
How about a cake made with the finest selection of a vast array of weapons?
i thought more along the lines of wepons inside a cake so they think it's a gift but it's many wepons
Oh about the different button mapping, it was glorious.
I was playing Oblivion on PC, where I kept opening my inventory with F4.
Later some time I played Deus Ex Human Revolution and wanted to open my inventory with F4.
And then I see Adam throwing grenades out of his mantle , killing everything around me, making the guards fight me.
I recently started playing Skyrim again. I put only about 100 hours into it when I first started playing, but stopped for some reason. I started playing it again a couple weeks ago, after a 6 year hiatus. Literally only remembered 2 things from my playthrough: 1) My home is Breezehome in Whiterun, and I hoard literally everything in the game, separated out into the various containers around the house; and 2) I am a vampire, and inexplicably stopped playing mere minutes away from actually curing myself of vampirism. Seriously, I was in the town, had the items I needed, but stopped and saved before going to talk to the guy then going to the altar. No clue why I stopped there, but yeah. That is all I remember, and I am trying to get back into it. It is a slow painful process.
You forgot skill fatigue. You used to be pro but now you're a washed up has been.
Kathic UGH, too true, for me that's with super Mario strikers for the GameCube
For me it was Crazy Taxi.
Mario Kart games. You go into 150cc races and its like you're playing Michael Schumacher and Nigrel Mansell.
Oh the days of trolling on Stonemaul... Good times.
But then there are those rare times when you come back to the game and you're better than you ever were.
When you load a save and remember it's a point where every time after two seconds you get killed or fail, and repeats like Groundhog Day - and there's nothing you can do but start the whole game over again
For games like Skyrim I find this happening a lot: when you load an old save that had mods and you are left completely powerless against even the simplest of enemies...
I always find it fascinating to look at the previous owner's saved data when I buy a used game. Like when I got Sonic Chronicles: the Dark Brotherhood, The previous owner saved their game in slot three, had 20 Chao, and 112 rings. Their current party members were Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and Big, all at level 6. They were on Chapter 3 and in Central City. They last saved on December 7th, 2011.
I have quite a few used games that still have the previous owner's saved data on them.
when i dust off and load up an old save: i play around for 5 minutes, get bored(partly because i forgot where i was in the story), and reset
i reset way too much
even in games where resetting isn't part of the story
Sans must hate me so much
and so will a lot of people on this video
LOL GET READY FOR A BAD TIME
Resetti will remeber that
RESETTI HERE
DANNY1 RUIZ I TOLD YOU NOT TO RESET
On Fallout 4, I have a big tendency to create a new character because the old one gets boring. That's until I got the season pass a few days ago. Now it's fun as hell.
Totally recommend getting it btw. Far Harbor was my favourite.
How about storing items you want/use/need in some obscure chest and you can never find it again
or How about those absolutely evil quests that give you no waypoint or marker, and you have to go read some random book or talk to some random people and you have no fucking clue on what you need to do
I think one of the worst ones is when you had a save that was deep into the playthrough, deep enough that the game expects you to have a good understanding of the mechanics and just generally expects you to be good at it overall, so the difficulty is up there. Except you haven't played the game in months, or sometimes even longer, and have basically completely forgotten how to play and can't really progress from where you're at. Unlocked in game skills and equipment be damned, I am just no longer a good at this game as I need to be for this section. Basically forces you to restart the whole game just to get good at playing it again. And like, yea, sure, once you get a hang of it again you could go back to you old save, but now I'm so invested in this new run...
this reminds me of the time i reopended avengers for the first time in months and remembered i quit playing it because i got stuck on the last campaign mission
The "back of the hand joke" killed me XD
these new guys are... quirky
Jack Kavangh All if them are quirky
That's the best part! It's why we keep coming back. It's why we're here on *this* channel.
Shawn Patterson What do you mean original 2?
back in their own outsidexbox channel still
Ha like me you also thought this was Outside Xbox
That was a very creative video well done. It made me wish I had my old saves and old everything
"You try to do something from a later game." - Me whenever I've been playing Spyro: Year of the Dragon and go back to playing Spyro: The Dragon
Wait, there are three new people, right? Ellen, Luke and... Mick?
Back when I used to do let's plays (heck, back before Pewdiepie got freakishly big... so you know this was a long looooooong ass time ago), I revisited Oblivion. Got attacked by a bear almost immediately, freaked out 'cause I forgot all my hotkeys, ran around and around, up and down hills, trying to remember them and my battle strategies. I finally managed to kill it, jumped a little too high and died.
Atm I don't remember how to play Fable and Dragon Age, I'm probably gonna replay the first chapter again and then load up my current save.
3:24 Ellen casually turns into Bob Ross
I've heard that "back of my hand" joke so many times before... and yet you still got me. I laughed.
Dammit xD .
Is this the bargain brand of Outside Xbox? Nothing wrong with it, but you could tell that something's not quite right.
Right, like how Jane isn't Jane
Outside Xbox presents: discount Outside Xbox!
Mike is here. It's an offshoot but part of the same family.
i got that reference, also i was very confused once the video started
The script seems worse as well...
I've played enough of Skyrim to remember lines of dialogue and I rarely use the map to find out where I am.
-11-
The Spongy Mallard i know every single line of the college of winterhold questline and im still not tired of playing it all ovet again 😂
I love that quest line.
Yea that was my absolute favorite quest line in the game
I remember I once had a save on Skyrim, apparently I wanted to make a thief with a rather unique-ish way of implying stealth, I would use an invisibility power that lasted 2 minutes and had a cooldown of 1 in-game day, as my primary source of stealth, and I also pumped everything into stealth and have little regard for extended combat, so when I came back to it I started seeing problems, battles had to be short and I had to use my stealth to avoid fights I couldn’t fight, so I had to train my character in archery for combat capability
Good thing to have save games at all. I remember that I only quicksaved in C&C Renegade, and there where only two quicksave slots overwritting themselves in alternating order. Then I got to a boss fight and just had crappy savegames.
Or my other favorite: Call of Duty, the first game. The mission where you have to hold a house and the German tanks come in from all sides and German soldiers storm in. Did a quicksave (I think I did only quicksaves, as well) - just the fraction of a second before I got killed by a German soldier storming up a ramp the next moment. Had to reload like 20 times before I got out of this mess....but at least I did :D
Absolutely love your videos. I wish I could participate, you guys seem to have so much fun ;)
When I load up an old save. Especially if its an rpg. I just start fresh ... I've never finished a game.
And you're okay with that?
It kills me inside.
Ron I get frustrated with my past decisions and replace the file. Then a bit after, I always regret it.
No no no, you HAVE to play dragonage inquisition all the way through! Best after end credits ever! And the trespasser dlc is amazing! And you should play it through with all the romance options!!! And then when you finish one of the angstier ones you go back and play the easy breezy commander with insecurity issues romance cos he's so cuuuuute!!!!!!!! And...then you realise why guys hate female gamers...
Exactly the same haha. Like in dragon age inquisition I keep coming back to and rerolling because I have no idea what Ive done. And i do the same things all over again.
Best second channel EVER!!
2:26 Snow in LA? In what universe?
Yep that's me with Skyrim. Where the hell is that place I've been to countless times and own a home in again, who did I marry? Which for most games is why i don't even try to figure it out if enough time has passed, I just start over.
Am I the only one around here who doesn't have a problem with button layouts?
You do not play enough games if you do not have a least a bit of a issue with remembering all the different ways buttons are laid out. I generally do not have that hard time adapting however. But boy there are tons of ways to set things up...
on the pc button layouts are more "standard" than on the consoles, on the consoles button layouts are often set by the publishers, and lets be onest there are a lot of publishers.
I've been memorising songs on the Piano for 9 years. Button layouts are literally nothing to me. :L
the only game I've ever changed the button layout on is Final Fantasy VII.
I don't because I play on PC not on console, so I can remap to whatever I like.
am i the only person here who seems to like Ellen Rose?
Who is Ellen Rose? :3
Well, she's no Jane Douglas, but then again Jane Douglas is no Ellen Rose either.
I like women with a bit of anger. As long as they're not elitist empty excuses for a human beings of course.
noop. she has no action consistency. call me autistic, but if somebody trying to be a youtube commentator can't be somewhat consistent I'm not a fan. plus, GIANT FOREHEAD
***** ik
I like what Far Cry Primal did about #6... when you load your game, theres a cutscene, recapping all the major things Takkar(you) has done so far, up until your last save...
This is why whenever I go back an old game I just restart for sanity's sake
