A good way to get rid of the air bubbles is put the caulking tube in the gun before you cut it & squeeze the trigger a few times, I’ve been doing that for years & I never get air bubbles
Hit the nail on the head here. The ETS 2000 is ergonomic and sturdy, definitely the go to gun! Keep up the great work as the goal is for us to continue to inspire others to build something awesome! 👍🏼
ETS1000 is a much better buy for caulk. The only thing it doesn't have is the metal poking rod. Half the cost and will not slip out of the gun (unlike the ets2000) when caulking overhead such as overhangs. Msrp for the 1000 is about 6 bucks. You will not regret it. The 2000 is great but it will eventually start slipping. 20 year union painter here.
I just got my 25' whip in the mail today! I also got an autograph! What an awesome surprise! Thank you brotha, I've been a contractor for 25+ years but never used a sprayer until this last year regularly and your videos have helped me so much! Im looking forward to my next house this week not using that damn stiff graco blue hose! It's so unforgiving! Thank you buddy!
Before I open any caulking, I put it in the gun and squeeze the trigger a few times to push any air bubbles out. Then I pull it out, cut it and put it back in.
Would that really get the air bubbles out? Seems as if squeezing a fully enclosed and air tight package such as a caulk tube would simply concentrate the air bubbles
@@lexandersantana8089 I presumed that it would tighten that space a little but. The bottoms of caulk times, in my experience, are not as airtight as one would assume. I don't know about you but I've has the bottoms blow out. Don't know why, but it's happened. All I know is that what I said seems to work. Atwr I do that, Ive 95% of the time not had a runny caulk tube.
I like the ETS-2000 except that it doesn’t capture the end of the tube as well as the cheapo metal ones do and it spins and falls out easier. I tape the tube in the yellow part with just a small strip of masking tape so my tip angle is always in the same spot.
Same experience with the tube falling out and I find that it’s worst with age. I think the plunger is getting weak and has no pressure holding the tube tight. I’ve got 2 that needs replacement because of this
he is right 💯 i have own several lowes homedepot ace hardware and they do not add up to my dripless ets 3000 and my hr300 i love❤ love❤ love those guns my hr is 26:1 thrust fast continuous flow 🔥
Hi Talia! How did your gun break? Our ETS guns are guaranteed for life, so we would be more than happy to replace it for you! Please reach out to us at contact@dripless.com.
The Albion Engineering B26 B-Line gun is the most effortless gun I ever used. It has a 26:1 ratio. On latex and silicon caulk, the trigger pull is very light weight. Takes getting use to it. I am not sure if there is a totally drip-less caulking gun out there. You have to release the pressure to keep the caulk from discharging unless you time it where the plunger and caulk equalize. This gun is probably intended for higher viscosity caulk or sealants, but does it ever work for latex & silicon caulk. The puncture wire is on the handle and that's a bit awkward. I have a long shank allen t-handle I've always used.
I roll with the Tajima. It's like the Ferrari of Caulk guns. I have one of these ETS-2000 guns too, but I like the Tajima's dual feed rate feature. Really good if you want to run glue or something.
@@Woodenduckk I'm not sure I can see the model number anymore. It is a candy apple red color if that helps! I have been using the same one for a few years now. It works really well. The dual "speed" feature is pretty great. I honestly don't mess with that as much as I thought I would, but it does make gluing large areas faster.
I bought one from you and thought it was great for a few weeks. Then it fell 8ft onto concrete and snapped where the yellow part screws onto the handle. I wouldn't expect plastic to survive that fall so I don't blame the manufacturer.
Hi there! We actually DO expect our ETS guns to survive that kind of fall, so we would love to replace your gun for you! Reach out to us at contact@dripless.com.
i can't believe i've been researching caulk guns for 2 hours and still don't know which one to buy. amazon reviews are all over the place and there may be some chinese clones out there?
Imagine getting mad as a employee and cussing out your boss and telling the subs you gonna beat your boss up, and the subs look and see this guy walking out the house. Lol one boss you don't buck up too

I discovered these caulking guns about a year ago and haven’t used anything else since 👍

Blue and gray one from Lowe’s are all my crew uses. Last forever. Or Home Depot orange and gray I think. More expensive though
Agreed! The best caulking gun I’ve owned
Used these for a long time. Finally broke one, but I dont want to get rid of it.

So helpful, love these product reviews.

💪
Hi, which tajima gun do you prefer? And how long do they last for you?

Someone needs to make a caulk holster
Dripless used to. it was awesome

Rijk energie!
Harbor Freight has a new handheld HVLP type sprayer for fences, doors and what not..please review if you can..thanks.
I love how it’s easy to turn the caulk with the open space of the gun.
ETS is the best.
By the way, my wife says I'm quite the caulksman.
Don't get caulky😂
Cox makes my favorite. Expensive though
💪

Stop researching buy a Dripless brand
Thank you
Ets2000 goes great with the m3000, lol.
I use that same gun
Tape the tube to the caulk gun and you’ll caulk a lot faster
Try out caulking gun newborn model 930
will do
Imagine getting mad as a employee and cussing out your boss and telling the subs you gonna beat your boss up, and the subs look and see this guy walking out the house. Lol one boss you don't buck up too
Ever use a battery powered caulk gun?
👏🏽
💪
Smooth rod chalking guns aren't any good. I only use my notched chalking guns.
The ETS2000 is junk. The ETS3000 is a good tool. They don't last super long as a true dripless in my opinion.
I had one for years until someone decided to steal my work truck with all my tools.
Mexican?
@@edreed5571 more than likely...i live 5 minutes from the border.
I dont get it. I have 5 of the big guns and everyone of them are terrible. I have to "pump" the caulking out of it. Just keep squeezing over and over
I agree, try the ETS2000 if you haven’t already and build something awesome. 👍🏼
This is a really bad video description considering you are just taking about one gun 🙄
Link is DEAD.
