Its May 2022, Im still loving this channel. So nice to have quality instruction from someone who explains things clearly and with humor. Cheers Kelsey!
Girl...I have been scouring the internet to find this and every solution was so complicated... I--- Thank u!
I love watching basic tutorials like this because there are _always_ things that i forget when editing day to day. i totally forgot that just adjusting the anchor point on my shot will make my process so much faster when zooming in, as i no longer have to adjust the position as well. *Awesome video!* 👍
Thank you for all of the tutorials! You are my go-to channel to learn how I want to do anything in Premiere Pro and After Effects!
One shortcut I use for making cuts is Cmd+K. Automatically makes the cut where the play head is at.
And your new set looks great! The neon sign is an awesome idea.
I'm totally hooked on your instruction. No wasted words; you get right to it and your style is ez to follow. I am jumping over from FCPX, and am loving the flexibility of Premier and amazed at what it can do.
Short Cut Punch: 1:07
Digital Zoom: 1:54
Motion Tween: 3:30
Thank you for this tutorial Premiere Gal! Per usual, your videos are concise and content that is so useful. I have purchased the Motion Tween in the past, per your recommendation, so I will definitely use this.
the Anchor point helped me a lot! I used to scale and move around the footage which took me tiiiiime! Thanks!
THX a lot! I didn't even know I could move the center point for zooming however that makes sense. Today I learned something new that makes my efforts less.
I love the way she explained in simple way in on my mind ... It's really helpful all in one video
wow, i spent years studying editing and filmmaking, and i already forgot how simple a Short Cut Punch is...I was searching for an effect, when in reality, it's doing it the old fashioned way.
thanks Premiere Gal!
Subbed, and liked!
Cheers.
Thank you so much for these tips especially the motion tween trick - it will save me a lot of time doing the key framing. 😊
Thanks Kelsey for another great video. I didn't think about using the anchor point. This will save me a lot of time. I'll check into the plug ins as they will save me even more time. Happy New Year!
Thanks a lot. I was looking for this tutorial everywhere.
This is so helpful! I’ve been wasting so much time doing key frames. Can’t wait to use this on our next video!!
Yes! Glad to hear it. You can also save different Motion Tween variations as a preset.
Have been looking for this today and now you just made my day. Have a good one Kelsey
You too! Thanks for dropping a line :)
I was just looking for a tutorial on this and all I could find was transition tutorials - thank you so much Premiere Gal

What a smooth clearly comfortable explanation.
Like always, Premier Gal is a game changer!
Thank u for ur Adobe premiere Pro tutorials ...itz really amazing and useful thank you very much ❣️
Excellent. Never knew about 'anchor point', but for doing coverage a super slow zoom in on the actor's eyes is always good. I guess always shoot in 4k and distribute in HD.
ty you really helped me make a video good cause im new and didnt know how to zoom smoothly
Thank you! It was a full package! 💙

you are the best!😊
Which zoom method is your favorite? LMK ⬇️😀
Actually I recently released a plugin for Premiere Pro that lets you do such transitions even faster and more conveniently than using Motion Tween. You can do transitions sometimes with even a single click of a mouse. Look for "Drag Zoom Pro" on Adobe Exchange if you wanna check it out.
@@kamilkp Thant’s very cool Kamil, thanks for sharing it and I’m sure we will check it out to see it in action soon

Can you believe I had the Motion Tween as a part of the Film Impact pack and never used before because I never even noticed it was there? Thanks a lot Kelsey!
There are a lot of great transitions in FilmImpact and Motion Tween is definitely underrated! Lots of cool hidden treasures inside.
@@PremiereGal Yeah! And now I know them thanks to you. Appreciated.

hello mam. your sharing knowledge is very usefull for me. thanks a lot to mutch. please one help need. now premier pro timeline scroll using key alt+mouse scroll. can i change key alt+scroll mouse to ctrl+scroll mouse. if possible please guide
The fourth way within Premiere, of course, also involves scale and position keyframes, but if you do it using the Transform tool, you can simulate zoom-lens blur with the "shutter angle" altered. Kelsey, if you use the Motion Tween plug-in, do you still deal with moving the anchor point first?
Hey There - Yes, you can use the transform tool also, there are definitely, I'm sure, many more creative ways to creative zooms. I only showcase three :) As for your question about Motion Tween, you can customize the movement using the controls that are available under Motion Tween from Effect Controls.
I don't think I need to pay to drag zoom pro anymore, lol! Thanks Gal!
Thanks for the video. I like your new look. I think you know what I mean.
Love easy ease one zoom
Thanks for this! Count me as your new subscriber. Happy Holidays!
Здравствуйте пожалуйста скажите почему я скидаю видео изходний видео удаляется не перемещается
I love you ❤️❤️
Could you add the Motion Tween link to the rest of the resources in the description? Thanks for another great video!
It’s listed there in the description, under “Film Impact Transitions” discount code: PREMIEREGAL10
Is there anyway to make a digital zoom in without changing the scale, in case you're working on a grid with multiple images and dont wanna mes up ? Thanks
Oh dear, jz 👌🏻
This plugin is what I was looking for, but premiere should just make it so that you can move the anchor point and position values at the same time. Problem solved. Because if I want to get a certain framing on someone's face I need to move the anchor point, zoom in, check that my framing's right, if it's not I have to zoom out move the anchor point again and then zoom in again. And I have to repeat this until I get the framing I want and then I can zoom out with keyframes and not show any black bars. Why has premier not implemented this?
Wheres the premiere Elements tutorials. Like to make the "expert" editing mode as close to pro as possible. I can't do so much in Elements that I want to.
Did you use Zelda and Chill for the music?
what if the object you'd like to zoom to is moving across your frame?
So good voice u r.
when doing the digital zoom and have more than one zoom in and out in my clip. its moving the entire screen with it. please help
Very helpful, but another example of how Adobe drops the simplicity ball! This kind of intuitive A to B transitioning is so much faster and more intuitive than manually entering keyframes and adjusting parameters, but it's the default way these operations are handled in comparatively underpowered programs like Camtasia. It's part of what makes me hate Premiere (besides the glitches and crashing). There's already so much complexity to the program, and they make zero effort to reduce it and the time required to work in Pro.
At the risk of sounding weird, are you doing something new with your hair? Looks really good in this video!
Haha, nothing new!
