Something feels fishy about this fight. I just cannot wrap my head around how Davis went up two weight classes without placing a hydration clause on Barrios and Barrios not throwing punches. Barrios didn't throw his usual punch count and got dropped by the weak body shot that missed him. Love Davis and has great power in his weight class, but the fight seemed fixed. I also dislike how Floyd seems to want all the attention. He is retired. Floyd shouldn't be on his corner telling what to do during the fight that is why Davis has a trainer. If he really wanted to train Davis then he should have gotten ready for that. Seems like Floyd isn't truly ready to let someone else take the spotlight. Also wanted to point how Floyd always wants to speak for Tank on his post fight conferences. Let the man enjoy his time and speak his words. Floyd already left his legacy.

Get coaches like Calvin and Floyd that actually observes the fight not just preachers off of the break. Coach Calvin's advise about the hook was just so practical it was really there Tank was just hesitant to commit at first.
Edit: Tank indeed confirmed in the post fight press that he was nervous in the first few rounds coz he don't know Barrios power coming in at 140 until coach Calvin reminded him and adjusted. What a team.

When I had my first couple amateur fights, I remember hearing fighters boast that they are never scared, never nervous and they are monsters who fear no man and I truly thought something was wrong with me. Then I hear fighters like Tank or Tyson, or even Teddy Atlas talked about it and that took so much pressure off me. That's a sign of maturity when you can admit to the fear/nerves and still fight through it.
