Just buying my first Aston Martin and to say I’m disappointed in the Vantage is an understatement! How AM got away with the inefficient Sporstshift system is unbelievable. Companies like Bamford Rose have a fantastic solution with their redesign lightweight flywheel and twinplate clutch set up.
I know is a expensive vehicle that engineering just wasn't perfect at some thing... It's a beauty thing that a few of us can make the car almost perfectly enjoyable.

Hi your channel is very informative. Can you tell me does the 2015 V8 Vantage GT have a sportshift 2 or 3 unit? or is the 3 exclusive to the V12? Looking at a GT in Aus.

Great video. Correct me if I'm wrong. Are you saying sportshift 1 is standard and the upgrade becomes sportshift 2? Besides upgrading the lightweight flywheel and twin clutch do we upgrade the TCU? Where can I get more information on the flywheel, twin clutch and TCU upgrade?
Is the software upgrade - disengaging the clutch wear "full stop" function a Bamford Rose special ? Or a feature in the AM software ?
As far as clutches etc go why couldn't Aston have designed a system like the Porsche PDK which always seems to get rave reviews?

Did I hear right that the V12VS has a twin plate clutch?
It should probably just alert the driver that clutch slip has occurred but not disable the clutch. Question is if the dual plate clutch reduces the slave cylinder stroke and increases the shift time what if the software retained the feature of not completely disconnecting engine from gearbox during shifting, would it be even faster still?
Would you be able to talk about jacking chassis damage on Vantage? How to raise the cars correctly and also how to spot any damage? Great videos btw!
I'll add this, if you can afford an AML i would buy a Quick Lift. Look it up, i just got one , it was a PITA to raise mine, but i have H&R springs. A standard Hight Vantage should be a walk in the park.

My crawl mode never works its just stamding still in reverse and drive and 1st when i let go of the brake. What could be the problem? It never worked
