This is what I feel about them. I think Mino liked Jennie for a very long time now but is scared to confess since they are under the same company and YG is very strict when it comes to labelmates (remember when iKON said they are prohibited from talking to BLACKPINK?) Jennie on the other hand, likes Mino too but she doesn't want to confess first because she thinks the guy should do the first move (this is just my observation based on jennie's interviews) eventually, her feelings from him faded when she met Kai. (again this is just my opinion don't come at me) Maybe Kai reached out to her first and confessed. But Mino, still likes her but thinks it's too late already so what he could do is support Jennie (this mindset came from when Mino dissed dispatch at one of his performance)

I feel like Minnie were mean for each other. They both make each other happy. Mino is welling to give Jennie the love and support that SOME blink can’t give. And same goes to jennie too.
Even if jennie end up with kai or mino. I will still accept as long as they are willing to give her happiness.

What I'm about to say comes from experience and comparing my experiences with western entertainment and a friends Korean entertainment (idol, no she's not super famous don't get your panties in a bunch) when it comes to the gritty behind the curtains.
I think this is why Idols stay stone faced and don't interact. Let them be friends if they're even that. Pushing relationships and shipping real people this hard is toxic. It also promotes the fake relationships. Yes, whether you like it or not there's a very real chance that relationships you see or speculate are fake, it doesn't matter how real it looks. It's nothing new and most if not all Korean entertainment companies will can an idol for actually dating. These companies do a lot of media, it doesn't matter how well off they are.
Besides, idols shouldn't be dating anyway, their schedules are stressful as is and if you want them to be healthy and happy, let them have friends and do what they signed the contract to do. They wouldn't have put their name down if they didn't love what they did. For the ones that sign a contract and use their idol status to get close to idols to date, well, they don't need to be idols. I would rather single happy idols with their members and friends around them and the least stress as possible than one feeling too stressed. If you ask me there's been too many celebrity suicides as is.
I respect your point of view but i don't agree with you.yes they have a very tight schedule and whatever but there is a said that goes like this" behind a great man there is a great woman". You may have friends or members ,brothers and sisters,even a best friend but they will never ever take the place of your lover ,boyfriend or spouse,because the bond you have with that person is special and unique so,that person is the closest to you.God wasn't mad at all that is why beside a man you have a woman.
