- We knew from the start that there would be references and some cameos by other Disney Afternoon shows in the Ducktales reboot. But I don't think anyone expected THIS O.O

Here's an interesting fact: Black Heron's voice actor, April Winchell, is the daughter of Paul Winchell, who voiced Zummi Gummi in "Adventures of the Gummi Bears".
He also voiced Tigger

Weird. You'd think that the potion would grant super strength since the bouncing part only worked on Gummi Bears.
Super Strength was the effect it had on humans and Orges, we never saw it's effect on Ducks or Herons, so this still could fit with established lore.

Eh, there are plenty of other ways to get super strength (especially in this series). Bouncing is more unique & interesting.
Well, technically not since they aren’t human and it dose different things to different creatures, I mean it did make a dragon breath bubbles
so, when used on animals, they bounce. But, when used on humanoids, they get super strength

How to make gummiberry juice:
6 handfuls of red berries
4 orange berries
3 purple berries.
4 blue berries.
3 green berries.
1 yellow berry.
In that order.
You also have to stir slowly to the right, stir slowly to the left, then bang the pot with your spoon to remove the bubbles.
They don't mention that here.
Also, if you don't add any purple berries, you'll still get the powers of the juice but you'll also inflate like balloons.

My roommate and I binged season 1 and I started squealing like a little girl at all the references. He was so confused until I explained the Gummi Bears.
So according to this, the Gummi Bears came out of hiding and worked with the Priests of Castle Dunwyn. Probably had something to do with Cavin and Calla becoming the King and Queen.

I think they could do that by Having Fat Cat as the main villain of an episode maybe he is portrayed as a Crime Boss who wants to be more powerful than both Scrooge and Glomgold

If it's the quality level of this show, then it may be alright. If not... it may easily stray into "Teen Titans Go!" territory. But this is Disney we're talking about, so that's unlikely to happen... here's hoping!

Edit: Checking 0:18 indicates that humans look like birds in this universe. I would however consider this to be a historical error within the universe, since birds clearly get the "bouncing" ability not the super strength, so there is still some mistery there!
I'll let it pass that the juice is making them bounce. All I remember is that any other creature that drank it the original show got super strength not bounce ability.

if it's not obvious I hope they do even more other references to Disney shows like Gargoyles Goliath and has Keith David doing the voice. I saw the Mighty Ducks masks in one of the Gizmo Duck episodes and hope Wildwing Flashblade shows up. I Even hope Tale Spin gets a reference with a good interpretation of Shere Khan that was played by Tony Jay, Chip and Dale would be awesome and since it's Disney I hope the Black Cauldron Horned king makes a appearance in some way 😍 fan service
If this show goes further, there should be a cameo by Howard the Duck.
They made references to TaleSpin as far back as the first episode. Huey Dewey and Louie tried to hijack Donald's boat to go on a trip to Cape Suzette, and Don Karnage tries to rob Scrooge's plane in a later episode.
I just realized Black Heron was quoting lines from the Gummi Bears intro in the video.
