-  I’m currently living in a no build kind of set up in my van and needed a temporary toilet set up that wouldn’t break the bank until I decide on a permanent bathroom down the road.

Seriously though, I don't know how anyone uses that separator. My bathroom visits are never that neat. Kudos to you for making it work!

We had a portal potty in our vintage trailer I got sick once at a state park had to walk in the dark was scary but when your sick you do what you have to do, after that I upgraded our trailer, my daughter loved the vintage trailer but it was old and we needed something newer.

I've never seen that brand. It would work for me. I actually miss my cassette toilet and prefer it over the Casita toilet.

I think the way you did it is the best route. I bought a foldable, portable potty with the bags composting toilets don’t really have a chance to truly compost because it takes longer than the time you would discard your waist. And they are very pricey. Thanks for sharing!

U made the point of not wanting to spend the $ on the higher end composting toilets but then u didn't share what this overly-short one cost. Could u plz disclose that and continue to do that in future vids when you show something u use. It sounds like a good # of people, like me, are following to see what decisions they would make and what those might cost. THX !!

When you lifted the lid I quickly looked away!! (just kidding!) Have you thought about how you plan on providing air conditioning at night or just anytime your van engine is not running? This issue has kept me from buying a travel trailer (such as your Casita) if boondocking?
Haha!! As far as actual air conditioning I couldn’t use the ac in the Casita either while boondocking. I just didn’t boondock when it was very hot. I was able to run the maxx fan off the Casita battery and have the windows cracked. Same concept will apply with my van. I’m getting the windows and maxx fan installed at the end of this month and will rely on those to keep it cooler for now. I obviously won’t be boondocking in Texas for the summer that way (but last summer I traveled North for the worst of the heat and I loved it). Eventually I’m looking at a 12v AC unit but I have much more research to do on that and it’s way down the road.

True. I used to just have a cheap 5 gallon bucket that worked ok too lol!!! I just wanted a little better set up for the road in the van. :-).

lol. I didn’t get much footage on my initial install but I’ve decided to upgrade to a full size bed instead. I’m getting my windows and fan installed at the end of this month and will change the bed around that time and do a full on instructional video.
@TinyTexanAdventures where are you getting your maxxair fan installed? Is it expensive? I still have to install my maxxair. I installed a very large moon roof above my bed with no experience. It took me all day to cut the whole with a jigsaw. It doesn't leak and is my favorite part of the van so far. I'm not looking forward to cutting another hole in the roof. I've heard those electric metal shears cut through it like butter. I'd be willing to pay for the install if it's not too much.
This boxio seems like a good idea to me. I haven't ever heard of it before on any other videos I've watched. Do you boondock mostly.? This life fasinates me.
lol. Thank you 😊. When I had my little camper, I would boondock occasionally, but now that I have the van, the goal is to do that soooo much more :-). The van is more flexible in that I can fit almost anywhere the size of a regular parking spot and I can personally maneuver it much better :-)
