From someone who is used to the "hipster retro" look from Fuji, it's understandable that they don't like the design, but for someone like me that is a fan of "retro futurism" this camera looks unbelievable beautiful
I love both designs personally, way prefer the look of the leatherette on this than other Fuji cameras, looks far more refined
Actually this GFX does have similarities to some of the old film cameras as well - the large 'prism' on top totally reminds me of my old Nikon F3HP, whilst the general angular design language is also a throwback to the older Fuji 645 medium format film cameras (which arguably, the GFX is).
Your filmmaking talent truly knows no bounds. Exceptional work.
Bro could legit have an astonishing career as a unit stills photographer. It’s been years and I’m still floored by your production quality.
Fujifilm and any other camera brand should really watch your reviews and seriously get hiring you to shoot their promotional videos. Your reviews are insanely entertaining and interesting and so refreshing to watch and really shine a light on the quality of a product. Kudos.
You have no idea of the anticipation I have for a new video from you, I'm just hyped. Please do more, I'm sick of Netflix and others boring content, you're the future of great cinematography and an inspiration to our craft.
Honestly not trying to fight you -- i'm genuinely curious, as someone who works in more "traditional" film/tv content -- but why do you think Netflix is boring? Is it that the content is too homogenous? Or that you find short form content on YT to be generally more pleasing to consume?
Aware you didn't ask me, but shall give my two cents anyway. Netflix has released some of the best series of all time, it just feels as though these days there's 15+ garbage shows for every 1 that's actually worth watching - almost making it feel like you're looking for a needle in a hay stack. I also feel as if Netflix is still relying way too heavily upon viewing levels on great shows that are now 3 to 7 years old. Narcos, Prison Break, Breaking Bad, the list goes on. Ultimately I think Netflix still releases shows with insane popularity, just with noticeably fleeting regularity these days. @@_mixedsignals
Plus as you say, there's still a lot of people who will happily sit down and watch films with 120min+ run times, but it seems as if the vast majority of individuals are flocking towards short format content - Tiktok/Instagram etc with 30 second run times. Inevitably attention spans to watch Netflix shows/films will continue to deteriorate. @@_mixedsignals
@@_mixedsignals I'll chime in and say that most modern content is just too cookie cutter and toothless. The reason people love things like short form and reels is because it's real. There's life and a sort of patina to the content. Things like netflix and hulu lack this because everything is just made and meddled with by a board of suits trying to maximize profit and appeal to the widest audience possible to rake in the almighty dollar on a mass scale. It's the same problem that most subjects funnel down to now a days - greed ruins everything. You can't create art if all you're worried about is "how many people will pay to watch this?"
It's just unoriginal stories with random directing and art direction, everything is built as a product to be marketed, and not as a story that's interesting and entertaining. Oh and also woke shit, all, the, fucking, time. I want to watch a good film, no be lectured about gays and black, I'm already not homophobic and not racist so shut the fuck up. There is also no cinematography anymore, no composition, no character, no pace, just a show or a movie that will do well in a trailer for CZcams to hype people but it's actually empty. Is that enough ?
Finally getting some well deserved recognition, Fujifilm probably saw your review on the older model, and like ... Damn.
Keep it up, always love your work 👍🏻
You are outdoing yourself every time when it comes to cinematic skills, Gx... It was yet again a true gem!
Thank God Fuji sent you this camera, your review of it is the only one I care for & trust.
man this is so good. Stoked for Fuji and what they continue to do. I'm a big X series shooter and just bought into the GFX line with the 100S. So I'm even more pumped about what is coming out and the future of FujiFilm. Love your videos and how you lay it all out. Such a good watch and refreshing to see. huge fan!
Can we agree that this was one of his best videos yet?! Like holy cow was this brilliant
Your video's are the only video's that actually make me put things aside to watch. I truly just turn off the lights, put on the ambient lighting synced with my screen and put it on full screen and enjoy. LOVE IT
You should be the main advertising talent of every tech brand! THIS IS ART!
Honestly, your videos are incredible. I don’t really care about Fuji but I watch these videos simply for inspiration and for the cinematography. ❤
You inspire me every single time. It's not often said that the art and set design of your videos is one of the best parts.
i watch your videos the second i see them come out. idk how else to put it, but your videos transport me somewhere in my memory that i never have access to outside of watching your stuff. Truly enjoyable
When a thorough passion for cinema and photography is combined with a highly intelligent individual and pushed through a cyberpunk esthetic filter we get these masterpieces. Not only is your work interesting on its own, you show that there is alternative to the boring standard format of photography youtube. Bravo.
I am always fascinated by watching your videos and not only their quality of performance amazes me, but also your fantastic photographs that you take with your cameras.Such photos tell me much more about what this camera can do than any ordinary video. Thank you for your work and creativity!
Dude, I love your videos. This style is unmistakable and the mix of Fuji, videos and the pictures is so much fun to watch. This is really inspiring! Thank you for that, please keep it up.
GxAce is so forward thinking, intro-ing the product at the past-tense, knowing this video will be a good reference to what is currently a cool camera, and will continue to be a cool camera several years into the future.
His talent for photography and video makes an awesome complement.
Another video full of emotional stimuli from beginning to end! Yet another testament to the uniqueness of your talent. Bravo!
This is incredible, such cinematography, the audio, the storytelling
I own the little brother (GFX 50II) and it also delivers so good in conjunction with the IBIS that there is no need to buy anything else in the next years. The lenses are so well made and image quality is striking. I love what they do now. I also hope the next X cameras will follow this new path.
Bro !!! I keep re-visiting this video every few days. From your cinematography to what seems like original sound, it's a treat for the eyes, ears and senses. A buffet of goodness. Like a mini movie...told from the perspective of an appreciator of fine camera tech and unique color grading. But you can't stop there. Your set choices...I mean how do you find these awesome little nuances of irregular goodness. More juice?...Yes please!
Love to see these retro reviews of old tech and how actually advanced people were more than a century ago. Who could even operate such a device?
Yeah man I can't imagine holding a camera now that my retinas can scan 1000 mpx images at 1/100,000th of a second
Booom! GX off the top rope and delivering an aesthetic smack down to the CZcams photo community yet again! Bravo sir. Bravo!!!
If they built an actual cinema camera with their sensors and color science, I feel like it would explode in popularity. The image out of Fujifilm cameras is genuinely incredible & their cinema lenses are awesome too.
Compressed RAW is where the gane is at. Much more than anything else as video is heavily processed anyway
@@romank90 The problem with compressed RAW internal is that RED still holds patents for it. The only true compressed RAW you can get currently is ProRes RAW with the Ninja V and whatever cameras that still shoot cDNG, which are massive files. There's also Canon RAW found on their cine cameras. There's not a lot of good budget options. I had to end up buying Assimilate Play Pro to convert my Prores RAW files to cDNG for Davinci Resolve. RED is such a pain in this industry
I am amazed that such high quality content still exists on youtube. A real blessing, a welcome experience and very inspiring.
Dude - this is a brilliant review. I'm EXCITED. I love my 100s but, still, I'm excited about what Fuji has done. But the main reason for my post is that I've so appreciated so many of your reviews and videos. You find gems (cameras and lens) in a pile of old debris and make them shine. All the more, now, with the emergence of this Super Camera, which seems a perfect fit for your unique style of shooting and film. Bravo!
Another masterpiece, thank you Ace for these fantastic productions! Your work is unequaled. Love from South Africa 🇿🇦
Your videos are....just on another level! Such an inspiration, I really like your style and is actually something that I'm trying to achieve myself. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and keep up the good work and posts, I see a lot of people are really happy to see a new upload from you, as am I!
Your videos never fail to impress, the most unique reviews out there
I am really happy you were able to get your hands on the camera and create this beautiful review for us. I have to agree with you on the design it looks amazing
40 seconds into the video and i know this is epic! exceptional! Keep it on! Thanks GxAce for bringing us great content!
Love your production style GxAce. So exciting to create with this powerhouse!
I get goosebumps everytime I watch a Gx video. Glimmer of hope for photography👏
So my dad and grandpa were photographers. Though I only dabble here and there, watching your videos really is inspiring. Your aesthetics in videos combined with showcasing the product is top notch! Thank you for these :)
Your content is just mindblowing! Love how you put this together, the quality and effort is amazing 👏
Beautiful camera body, beautiful photos, beautiful video. Thank you as always GxAce, your clips are sublime.
I've just realised that I watch your videos over and over and over and over and over and over again. Well done.
Incredible! I'm honestly surprised but extremely pleased to know that Fujifilm sent a camera to you for a first impressions video. And not any camera, just the brand new GFX100 ii. I can't think of anyone more deserving because you really changed and added a unique perspective to photography in CZcams. I used to be very interested in cameras but, due to different reasons, I don't watch photo content that often. However, I still enjoy well done, original pieces like the ones you make. And, mate, you've done it again. You skip technicalities and unnecessary tests and go directly to the experience of using a camera, all told creatively. I mean, I'm not that interested in sci-fi and here I am, excited and feeling part of a futuristic short film. Just amazing! That, I think, it's the best ad for photography that anyone could make. Keep doing your great work.
EDIT: grammar
Masterpiece, I got inspired to get myself a Fujifilm X100T trye photographing, and I am not disappointed. keep up the good content.
I saw this and immediately thought, oh no another Fuji I won't be able to afford or find now. But I will desperately want because of your videos.
Fuji historically made some of the best ever cameras like the GX680. They had a dull period when digital took over and it’s great to see them back at the top again.
Amazing photography and cinematography! Thank you for sharing, the new GFX looks amazing and I agree, they should make an XPro “range finder” style again.
It always makes my day when I wake up to a new gxace upload! Incredible video as always!
You are by far the best camera channel the way you do your videos are one of a kind
Your videos bring a smile to my face each time.
You filmed and produced this AMAZINGLY well!
Congrats on that video, and to Fujifilm for their bold innovative approach to design!
You are one of the best CZcamsrs working today. Bravo!
Another beautiful work of art. There are many tech reviewers here on CZcams, but few artists.
yours videos always gives me goosebumps
Ive always loved your videos, love your care and attention to deatil, keep up this amazing work, I appreciate you and your work greatly :)
That's a lot of camera you got there. Great work as always. Loving the goggle evolution
Insane content! Once again a pleasure to watch.
Hats off-this video is truly exceptional. The storytelling and cinematography are nothing short of extraordinary. Furthermore, your photography skills are truly commendable. As an ardent enthusiast of Japan (having spent a delightful five weeks there this April), I find myself even more enamored with your videos.
In my studio, I rely on the GFX 50s, which has proven to be an unwavering workhorse. Its 50MP capabilities have been more than sufficient for my headshot photography business. However, I often find myself eagerly searching for justifications and opportunities to buy the GFX100 II. And you did not help with this video go ignore the voices in my head, who are yelling "buy it, buy it, buy it"... 😂
Bro! You are so good at ALL you do here. Bravo.
Eyepiece idea = YESSSSSSS. Great work as always.
Very cool, glad to see you working with Fuji
GFX 100 is a bit beyond my budget, but I was lucky enough to get hold of a secondhand 50R at a very low price. I have been using the Fujifilm digital cameras for over 20 years, and have been using the X-mount cameras for 10 years. Always love the "Fujifilm colours", but this time the GFX really took my photography experience to a new level. Amazing dynamic range. And with a larger sensor all these good lenses I have collected over the last few decades finally get to show their characteristics.
Glad to see this channel finally talk about the amazing GFX camera system.
I wish they will bring out a new 50R or 100r (50MP would be my preferred resolution) 😅I used the 50r with the 63mm and liked it a lot😊
You are quite simply the best youtube camera gear content creator on this planet.
Love your creativity and dedication to excellence that shines through so clearly. Beautiful, thematic photography and cinematography.
I love the mood of your photos, im really curious to see you direct a movie
Congrats on getting early access to the camera! So happy for you
Best photography channel on CZcams and it’s not even close.
Another masterpiece documentary for an outstanding camera!
this is easily on of the coolest videos i've ever seen on youtube
Hands down, the best video editing on CZcams! I am strictly a photo guy, but your videos make me wish I could shoot and edit videos. Great stuff. I too wish this design language would come over to the X-mount system i.e. APS-C line.
Superb. Love your work, sir. Carry on...
Always love seeing your Chicago shots. Best city on Earth.
Another gorgeous video. Thank you so much! God bless!
One of the best channel I feel lucky to have found. Inspires me more.
Love your format ❤
Every one of your videos is a cinematic masterpiece
What a great video. Thank you!
You're literally the best CZcamsr I've ever seen, there's no comparison. Period.
I just found my favorite CZcams channel. HOLY SHIT the editing! Good job on this!
Incredible video as always. I NEED that font from the thumbnail!
external eye piece would be so insane!!! love that idea
Great, now I want that camera. Thanks GXAce 😝
It's an honour to even stumble on your concepts.
The extandable evf seems like a good idea, and also make it open to third party companies and allow camera control to get more options in terms of monitoring.
im glad this was the first video i watched about it
You really do such a fantastic job with these.
Love the narrative as always
Dope dope work brother!
This is a pure DIAMOND ! ! ! Ab-so-lu-tely gorgeous video, and so inspiring photographies. Thank You for soo much fo sharing this !
Just want to give a heartfelt thanks. Your content inspired me to finally get around to posting on CZcams after years of self doubt.
I’m sure you will see my work has been heavily influenced by your style 😅
Absolute breathtaking
stunning as always
Always love your videos GxAce! Such talent and passion can be felt through the screen.
It would be great to see Fujifilm give an anamorphic de-squeeze update to the XH2s. I don't see why they wouldn't be able to do it since Sony did.
After the Fuji XSummit video, yours is the first for me to watch 🧡
I was expecting Deckard to walk out of the shadows with the film sim and the music. Nice job!
Great presentation, this is what a real movie should look like. Btw Fuji took great photos no doubt, I used and like the Xtrans sensor, and this one even more impressive, it is squarely designed to be used by a robot, great job Fuji done it again !
Nice video, as always. Please keep sharing more large-screen-worthy videos!
Incredible man, lovely still shots and cinematography as well
Amazing video, as always! 😉 it was nice meeting you in Stockholm
Holy shit I love those images, you can immediately tell on first glance that they were taken on a medium format sensor
You make easily the coolest looking product videos I've seen on CZcams. Incredible cinematography and your photography game is so strong to boot.
REFUCKINGTWEET this dude is top 5
so you are the person that likes to watch advertising, oh god
