  • This is a folk song culled from one of the popular Igbo folktales.
    The story behind the folk song here is about a little girl named Ola. She was sent to Inine River to fetch water for her sick mother on a day people are prohibited from fetching water from that river.
    When she got there, she dipped her water pot (clay pot) in the river, and her hand was stuck in there. She tried her leg too, it got stuck too🥺. Ola started crying and pleading to the Inine River, explaining her predicament...
