New Snare from Pi Drum Company!

I am so happy to be a Pi Drum Co artist. Thank you Adam for this absolutely breathtaking piece of art. And a big shoutout to my wife, Robyn, for making this thing happen!!
14x7 quilted maple over 6 maple ply core with a quilted maple interior ply with Champagne Drum custom lugs and gold die-cast hardware.
Back in November, Adam (owner of Pi Drum Co) and I started discussing a custom snare for me. I sent him a photo of a specific sunset and explained to him all of the details of what I was looking to do.
We then picked a Quilted Maple wood to emulate the clouds in the sunset. We ended up doing the same quilted maple inside of the shell, too!
During the process of building this drum, my father passed away in December, and, to honor him, I asked Adam to put a bear on the drum.
After finally getting to sit down with it, I wanted to give you guys a "spotlight" reel while I was testing some different camera angles and messing around with some solo ideas. The snare mics have a little bit of reverb, a little tiny bit of EQ but otherwise, there is nothing else there. This is the raw drum sound.
