How To Rewind Stator Coil In A Motorcycle? Stator Upgrade For More POWER!

- Stator coil is the component that generates electricity to power engine and electronics in a motorcycle and in most of the two wheeled vehicles this is often ignored.
Stator coil upgrade can result in more power to support extra lights and electronics that you may load your motorcycle with. Rider often think of putting larger sized battery to handle heavier loads but battery merely stores electricity, but stator coil is the actual generator that creates electricity via engine.
In India, upgraded stators are not sold for most of the commuter bikes but for super sport bikes in the West, stator upgrade kits are sold which readily available. However with a little elbow grease, any stator can be rewound with a thicker copper winding wire, which will result in increased ampere rating but lower voltages. If done correctly within limits, this can result in a much better functioning stator that gives more usable power.

Thanks for your appreciation! Pulsar 135 wasn't successful in generating sales so less people might be interested in this model and as a result, related videos do not get enough views. That's why I try to feature varying content so that all the subscribers find something that interests them rather than focusing on a tiny niche which gets repetitive and monotonous both for viewers and creators though channels that tightly focus on a particular niche get better views.
Wished I had this channel in early stages of maintaining my bike as I've spents thousands. Mine is 2012 model & have driven more than 1.5 Lac kms on pulsar 135. If i can suggest, pls upload shorts of each of your uploaded videos with hashtags that might work for grabbing viewers in need of guidance. Thanks for your reply aswell which makes feel connected .😊
@@NM-hq2jd Even if I grab bikers, I wouldn't be able to upload such frequent videos on DIY repairing to keep them satisfied! 😄 Mostly I am uploading unboxing reviews which gets a bit more attention. I can make short simple videos with catchy thumbnails which will get a lot of views, but I don't want to create that type of generic content that will not satisfy my soul.
I'll continue producing videos in similar fashion, let's see how far CZcams algorithm takes this channel.

Amazing video.
recently i was searching for what is filled inside endurance gas filled shock absorber as i have repaired it from the local shop. I had a argument with them to fill the nitrogen but they refused saying that no gas is filled in it. its all marketing gimic and they have repaired a lot of without gas and without any performance issue 4 years ago. as i m not using the bike since 1 year, now again i m feeling that my shockers r bad and want to replace. from that time i was wondering to cut it and see inside the gas mechanism and prove him wrong. kept in mind i was searching and came across your video of the shockers replacement, and thus got all my answers.
I was very much happy and thus start scrolling your channel and the second video which i watched was this. As the same thing i was thinking to do 10 years ago with my splendor pro, but waited for the coils to go bad, but luckily it is still running stock and i m not able to add any accessories like horns and fog light as the batteries die very soon and charging is slow. I wonder how simillar we think as almost all the videos topic came to my mind few yesrs back. keep it up and thank you very much for such an excillent work. If the storage devices you are asking about are external hard drives then the lifespan will be much shorter as compared to internal hard drives because they are just not built for long term reliability due to their compact form factor. My WD passport died within 4-5 years with minimal on off cycles and usage duration, while several internal hard drives have been running pretty well in my computer, NAS and NVR from many years.
Coming to SSDs, be it internal or external they have same lifespan because their circuits are compact and have no moving parts BUT their read write cycles are limited and once your have crossed that
limit, they no longer accept new data writes. This specification can be checked by data sheets and Black version by WD have more lifespan as compared to Blue or Green versions.
In short if you need to modify a lot of terabytes of data regularly buy a hard drive. I you just need to read written data and don't need to modify it much, like in case of installing an OS, use SSD. Avoid external hard disk drives because their portability comes at reduced lifespan. Now if you want to use an internal hard drive just like an external one, use a hard drive enclosure. How many turns are wound for stator in activa old 110 cc for making coil & wire guage is how much amount . 7 A ka current ane ke liye kitna winding karna padega & which wire thickness ( guage ) is to be used for gerting this result .
No idea about scooter, but whatever gauge is used for stock wiring, reduce it by a number or two trying to keep same number of turns.
Best video nd only video on bike stator . My Splendor have less light so want to increase voltage can you guide me.

Balancing them will be difficult, instead get a powerful rectifier that works on single phase, but problem is that all of the powerful rectifiers are three phase ones. Maybe you can use a secondary rectifier for extra load and use primary one for charging the battery?
@@M-DIY XCD 125 2008 , in born battery low problem WHEN THE HEADLIGHT IS TURNED ON, problem got solved after having a parallel rectifier setup. Now I can run 70 watts of led without a triuble. Even the torque increased, my guess due to more current on the plugs may be, and after installing the 220 oil cooler the engine got more performance on high speeds. Now I wonder why giving such low power unit that even cannot handle a single 35 watt headlight!

Haanji, tab voltage badh jaati but usse fayeda nahi hota kyonki rectifier high voltage ko sahi se utilize nahi kar paata, humein amperes badani hai taaki total power badh jaaye. (Power=Voltage x Amperes)

Can you please provide me the way of winding pickup /pulsating coil?
I have to wind my Honda H100s (cdi), which has open coil pulsating coil..Recently I converted my bike ac cdi to dc cdi.
But, the problem is I cant install good dc cdi unit like hero glamour, Super splendour type.
The reason is, my stock pulsating coil is low powered,only 39ohm resitance pulsating coil..Whereas, to ignite dc cdi like Glamour bike, pulsating coil have to like 200+ ohms.
So, need help for winding this.
I don't know the procedure of winding pulsating coil..
How many poles does your stock stator have?
@@M-DIY My bike has 1 starting coil and 1 charging coil(like hero cd100ss).
I converted my charging system full wave dc with a full wave dc rectifire.
For more wattage, I replace my starting coil with another charging coil with series connection with the stock charging coil.
For this issue,I have to change my cdi from ac cdi to dc cdi.
Now I am using a chinese 4 pin dc cdi,but I'm not satisfied. I want to install original oem hero glamour cdi.
For this, I have to improve my pulsating coil..
With my stock pulsating coil, hero oem cdi doesn't work.

@@debasishroy9234 Nahi, Indian market mein upgraded stators nahi milte aur kisi aur bike ka stator fit karna mushkil hai, inka size bohot accuracy se set hota hai. But US mein super sport motorcycles ke liye upgraded stators milte hai.

What if add 2 battery current backup will be strong
Extra battery is not needed unless you want to keep engine off and use lights on battery power for longer duration. It is tough to find place for mounting extra battery in a motorcycle, even if you mount one, you'll have to add a separate rectifier regulator for it and divide loads between the two batteries.

@@khemchandsure7553 Aapka stator 3 phase waala hai shayad. Rewinding ka pattern original winding se dekh kar karlo. Wire gauge check karo pehle ki kitni SWG se winding kari hai stock stator mein, usse ek size thicker winding wire se rewind karlo.

Actually main bike ki harness ke connector type ko modify nahi chahta tha, aur koi better connector mujhe nahi mila isiliye same connector mein wire ko crimp kar diya.

Bilkul, 1-2 km ki mileage drop aaya hai iske baad se jab lights on rakhte hai. Lights off rakhne par same pehle waali mileage deti hai.
