- One of my "DV8" DJ nights in Mannequins at Pleasure Island Walt Disney World in 1996 under my DJ name of Scott Summers. Thursday's were Cast Member nights and we "Deviated" from the normal music genre with some classic alternative/80's early evening. The recording is from a live wide angle camera feed we had inside the club to send to the Street DJ to monitor and advertise what is happening in each of the 7 clubs. The audio is straight from the mixing board. Both went onto a Super VHS recorder. Great times, great staff and friends! Instagram skiatomic_keith

I'm so glad I lived in Central Florida in the mid-90s and got to experience the real Pleasure Island. Those were unforgettable times.
Mannequins was the best club ever! So many nights dancing in my spot near the mirrors as the dance floor rotated I wove through the crowds. Just loved a the of the positive energy flowing out of this place. Never forget it. DJs were amazing.
There will never be anything like this again. Good times and way ahead of its time!

❤❤❤ this is absolutely incredible as someone who witnessed the last nights of the club… Also, I was a lighting technician at Tracks Washington DC with some of the very similar or the same lighting instruments but we didn’t have a turntable, but we made it work, so I appreciate this video so much and I watch it all night long
Lords of Acid.into Acid Rock...this set is very similar to mine in Panama City Beach in 1988-2004..I had a live radio mix from the club 10-mid..kids cruising the Miracle Strip..all had my show in their cars

Thank you for posting this video! Like everyone else, I loved Pleasure Island's Mannequins. So many good memories. Today's Pleasure Island is a lifeless void of what once was the coolest place to be at Disney.

Vari Lites..Concert Venue Lighting..is what set this club apart..Vari-Lites were "Lease only" with a controller and operator..wayyyy before the LED lighting we see now..I saw about 50 emulators..they are cool..but Dim..compared to the vari lites and
